This is a very sad development. Very flimpsy reasons. She has spent only 5yrs. Clemency would have been perhaps life imprisonment. Is this country now saying that once you kill your husband in Nigeria, you will be pardoned? |
Health and medical issues are so sensitive that you need to be careful where you take advice from. Else, you'd suffer from hypochondria. |
Why say the name in your language/tribe without stating whiat language/tribe? Akete everywhere yet, no one knows what tribe or language that is. The other one say "in my tribe (Edo)", Edo na tribe? ![]() |
yemmight:That the result is only on paper. |
So what result is that exactly? |
Musty112:Of course, at his own peril. So the issue with most of these lawyers branded "fake" is that they claim to have been called to bar? Once saw a movie of a true life event where a man whose family was wronged, learnt the law self-taught. He learnt the law so well, he found gaps in the law. Openly committed a crime address the wrongs as a self-taught justice, he handed himself the justice he and his family sought. Defended himself in court and walked totally free! Agreed, the movie was foreign but it left me wondering if our Constitution forbids people representing themselves in court if they know what they're doing. |
Mitsurugi:No, not that type. A man who devoted himself to learning law. Self studied, well acquainted beyond the basics. Acclaimatized to legal processes and proceedings. |
Away from impersonation, a few questions: If a person can defend himself in court without claiming he has LLB, LLM or called to bar, why shouldn't he be able to do so? If a person has someone whom he thinks can defend him very well in court on a subject matter even without having LLB or being called to bar but knows court processes and proceedings very well, why can't he be defended by same? Kindly enlighten me. |
RISQUE:Should have been Gbenga Aruleba. Clown sold out. |
Jonathan and his handlers need to be careful this time around. The media machinery of his opponents will twist everything in a bid to turn the north against him. |
All these cultists battling for supremacy should at least be useful to the society and engage these riffraffs. You're still a menace but maybe we can hold one thing you did with your lives. If Northern Nigeria were to be a country, it'll be one of the poorest, unstable, most disorganized country in Africa. But I think they'd be more serious about themselves. |
Yup, I captured a view of the preparations yesterday. Go Lagos!
|
The scam was an ugly trumped up story. By the way, where ezekwesili? Sad to see Falomo Roundabout defaced with all that propaganda. |
I hope this is not break up loading.. Who do you owe this explanation? |
LagosOrigin:This no sense quote in bold is responsible for a lot of the rot that is pervasive in Nigeria. Members of staff in organizations steal the companies dry, sales boys/girls cripple the businesses of their employers, why? Because: "Na where person dey work he dey chop". Very rubbish statement. He is ignorant of rules of business engagements. |
Yoruba needs to be heading traditional stools in Ilorin in particular. *Edited. An Oba should be installed in that place, Ilorin. A first step to reclaim what's rightfully Yoruba's. |
They're claiming more lives. The reverred Alaafin, other Yoruba monarchs and their Baloguns are not saying anything at all. Let an Igboho rise up against them now, they'd unleash DSS after him. |
Dan fodio conquest continues in that state unabated. Kwara state needs a Yoruba Monarch who must be installed to oversee the affairs of Yoruba heritage in that state. |
Stay away from people who bet. The are not only a problem to themselves, they are a problem to everybody else around them. |
My vote goes to him. May he defeat all those who did him dirty. |
With the caliber of leaders we are seeing today, one wonders why well educated and intelligent legit people are not coming forward for these roles. |
I thought about this just this morning. Why do people even rate these lowlife thieves? People that should cover their faces in shame. What a society! Poor but legitimate people are richer than these thieves. |
erad:You missed the part he said "like this video and subscribe to my YouTube channel.." Content. |
This is all they know. Take power Yet no clue on how to develop the country. |
This is indeed a shame. No gainsaying. This remains a shame on Tinubu and this government that no amount of media campaign can wash away. |
Port443:Arguably. Many sides to it. Economic hardship may have pushed the girls, times were not as hard for young men then as it is now. And so, there's less money to waste. |
Hookup was fuelled by the fact that young men had money to waste because life was not hard then as it is now. Now that Tinubu has struck, has it not reduced drastically? Exalting people that want to live soft life without working and earning it legit? Why make Lagos the centre of your article when it's possibly worse in Abuja and although arguable, Port-harcourt. The new face of Lagos youth lifestyle are Techies in Lagos doing a whole lot, and every other legit young men and women out here doing their thing, not your hookup and thieves you call yahooyahoo. Keep your woke publications that do not in any way help Lagos society to yourselves. |
Ikaeniyan0:I agree her choices are not good at all. She must have very terrible advisers around her. Nonetheless, she has served out the penalty. The court issues are an ongoing conversation that should be left to the courts to decide. |
incogni2o:I totally agree. Her choices of escalations were altogether very terrible. However, the penalty for her misbehaviour, according to the standing rules, have been served in full. There will be no justification to deny her re-entry to the chambers. |
incogni2o:That will be an entirely different kettle of fish. Being careful by taking laws into their hands and denying her resumption, even after serving her penalty? So they actually realise she wasn't 'employed' there but represents a people? I do not like her personality, but No, not this. This is injustice. |
aribisala0:You are being oppressed and told if you speak out, they'd draw dagger and you keep quiet? You don't deserve whatever it is they took from you in the first place. |
