Business / Re: FCCPC Shuts Chinese Supermarket Over Discrimination In Abuja by CrownedPhoenix: 5:57am On Apr 23 |
Maybe there's something covert going on in the background there. jmoore: Worth a thought. I had wondered how they intended to make profit. 3 Likes |

Politics / Re: PDP NWC Submits Reports On Wike As NEC Meets Thursday by CrownedPhoenix: 6:51am On Apr 17 |
I liked his stance on moving presidential candidacy to the South as that was the common sense thing to do. But the way he is conducting himself so far hints to how he would have been as a president. I really want to see how this plays out. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: House PDP Caucus ends In Deadlock As Planned Vote Of Confidence On Damagun Fails by CrownedPhoenix: 6:45am On Apr 17 |
But how on earth can one man hold the entire PDP down nationwide and nobody can talk? This is highly embarrassing for all members of that party. Even Hitler, with all his military might, failed. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Douye Diri: Palliatives Not Solution To Hardship by CrownedPhoenix: 8:34am On Apr 01 |
I am yet to understand the importance of 'Palliatives' Govt will increase pump price of petrol that affects over 200m people, then offer 50 buses as palliatives or after prices of food items sky rocket, govt will stock warehouses with indomie as palliatives. I am yet to understand what real effect palliatives have. |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Sweden Officially Joins NATO, Ending Decades Of Neutrality by CrownedPhoenix: 6:11pm On Mar 07 |
Interesting. How Putin's Russia quickly became the Hitler's Germany of old is still a mystery. One thing is certain though, the war will be long and hard. But Russia will not win it. They just cannot win it. Putin is too reactionary. US is probably, knowingly, goading Russia in to war. 1 Like |

Romance / Re: A Widow Is Not A Single Mother by CrownedPhoenix: 8:24am On Mar 02 |
One sees where the OP is coming from. Perhaps, to say that a widow deserves more regard than being grouped with 'single mother' women who have kids outside wedlock because she originally had a husband. Alternatively, maybe single parent? 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: Politicians Overworking Judiciary, Says Retired Judge, Ibrahim Buba by CrownedPhoenix: 7:42am On Mar 02 |
It is the precedence you all set that the politicians are leveraging on to bring burden to the judiciary. If they knew the judiciary will not yield to nonsense, there will be less burden. |

I think that in these cases of murder for ritual, the 'baba' that told them to get these things should also be arrested and prosecuted. You tell somebody to go and bring human eyes, where do you expect him to get it without committing a serious crime? |

Sicilyjoe: For one, Yak was already an old man and could handle certain situations better than a young boy of Iwobi's age bracket. Secondly, social media was not this much of a monster. So no, I doubt Yakubu received this much mean trolling |

Maysdevices post=128633960: Dude deleted social media posts, considered quitting the national team. At some point his other team members and league manager had to publicly encourage him. So yes, it had some telling on his esteem. |

Perhaps he was not dead by the time his gang members took him away. If he was truly shot dead, why would they carry away his dead body? Well, possible same gang members for other reasons would later strangle him to death. He may have become a liability to them or next-in-line wanted supremacy |
