kemmyk: You cannot pay your school fees working 24hrs per pay period. 40hrs yes! But as a student you are limited to 24hrs. I had friends that paid their school fees by themselves but, that was when they allowed students work 40hrs. I myself benefited from it. So when you are coming dont have it in mind that you are coming to work to pay your fee. Jobs are extremely hard to get now, it took some almost 1 year to get. what about with a spouse |

snoopy: i believe its a first issue. would usually take around 1 week for them to do all the background checking. mine was a renewal and my 221g was most likely for social media vetting which is why it took less than 24 hours. Thank you, it was issued after two days. Please can I meet you? It’s seems you have been in the US for a while now. I understand H4 visa is restrictive. I need guidance and OT how to make the best use of it and support my partner |

snoopy: I was on placed on 221g at my interview for H4 on October 14th. I got back home and saw that it was already approved in a matter of a couple hours. Mine was in Lagos though. I know someone who had an H-1b interview in Abuja and was placed on 221g, her visa was approved in less than a week after.
The timeline is largely dependent on what they are trying to verify and if they asked for more documents. However, if it goes past 2 months, you can send them an enquiry. Hi, I have the same issue and was asked to provide additional documents to show proof of relationship. Know of an estimated timeline? |

kennisman: Pls I need some advise , recently I was given a 221(g) form for my H1b interview. The consular discovered that the petitioner on her system is different from what is in i797b approval. Then she noted some documents I need to come with on my 221g form to summit at the OIS service centre where my original transcript is part of the documents. Though I HV all these documents she asked me to bring. My questions now are: (1) Will these documents be returned BK to me most especially my original transcript? (2) Why was it that the petitioner's name appearing on the cansular system or at the embassy is different from what I HV in i797b approval notice? All the correspondences I HV been receiving from USCIS bring out my correct petitioner's name. Good afternoon, Have you been able to resolve this? |

Afolavid: You need a diploma/certificate to get points for 2 or more certificates, you can check the 1st page of the thread for some (short-duration) certificates you can do like BCS/CIMA/PGD etc And if possible, you should rewrite and max out your IELTS... Achieving both will push your CRS up then you have better chances of getting ITA with STEM. Thank you very much sir. Do you think a certificate called CISA will make me eligible? It’s the recognized certificate for Information Systems Auditor |
