This stream2 is really working on ma nerves. Nobody at home understands stream2. To ma parents, its either you're posted or not. There's no explanation whatsoever i can give to make them stop asking me "what is stream2?"
Like this morning, I greeted ma dad good morning and his reply was "yes come here, explain what stream2 mean again". Me, I'm done o! Ma honest answer now will be wait till 26th and 27th, if you still see me in your house, kill me when am asleep.

The mention of a northern state is the beginning of fear to PCMs here...... Not all northern states are bad, you should be able to manage one of these states.

NORTH CENTRAL

Benue state
Kogi state
Kwara state
Niger state
Nassarawa state
Plateau state

NORTH WEST

Kaduna state
Kano state
Katsina state
Kebbi state
Sokoto state
Zamfara state
Jigawa state

NORTH EAST

Adamawa state
Bauchi state
Borno state
Gombe state
Taraba state
Yobe state.

Out of all these Northern zones, the northeastern zone is the most unstable due to the insurgency. Earlier before the Boko haram era, they are dreaded by Corp member due to the distance you have to cover to get there. Believe me you can spend 6 hours within a state there. Thank God 3 of the states there ( Borno, Adamawa and Yobe) have been out of NYSC radar for now.

Taraba and Bauchi state also have their fear share of violence, but its mainly inter-tribal and less disturbing compared to the 3 Boko states.
Gombe is relatively peaceful.

In the northwestern zone, its only Kano and Kaduna state that have come under the violence of the Boko boys but the state government of the states played their card well and brought the attack under control.
Zamfara state also experiences attacks from mostly armed robbers, taking place in villages though.
Jigawa is peaceful so is Kebbi and Katsina, I learnt Corp members enjoy these states.


States in the Northcentral are relatively peaceful except Plateau and Benue state that experiences doses of inter-tribal misunderstanding once in a while. One thing is that most of the states in this zone does not pay much to Corp members. Kwara pays #0, kogi #1250, Plateau #0, Benue #3000. I don't know of Nassarawa but Niger state pays #6000.

Something about these Northern state is that they are very cheap to live in economically, transport, food, accomodation are on the low end. Most of them have good road networks and Corp members don't go through a lot of stress over there, this afford them the time for other activities.
