I have told Nigerians severally, if you really want free and fair elections, adopt e-voting.

You already depend on e-commerce, e-banking, e-health, e-ride hailing, e-farming, online education etc for everyday activities..

Using electronic means to vote from the comfort of your house just for one day every 4 years is the ONLY BETTER way to go..

Just sit in your house on election day, use your NIN-linked voter's card, log to the 'YouVote' portal on the futuristic INEC portal, it show you your e-Polling Unit (Same with the real PU, and e-Ward). You can only vote for the contestants in that ward, LG, State and federal where you are registered..

It would cut the cost of electoral materials acquisition, there will be no agbero thugs attacking people at polling units.

Violent politicians who depend on thuggery would become irrelevant and the system sanitized.

Even people who are lethargic about voting because they are afraid of getting attacked at the polling units would gladly vote from their sofas.

The issue of voter apathy would die a natural death..

India has more than 1,000 political parties and use E-voting..
