Try to advise them not to relax, they will paint u black until the final list is out and they learn the hard way. Meanwhile this is how the recruitment is done underground while they suffer people with shortlist. Am I in support of this? Absolute NO. The aim of the advice is to help u that is shortlisted not to be deceived so that u can follow up and get it. May God make it easy for us all 🙏

I understand your concern, and I know our system has its shortcomings. But constantly presenting every recruitment exercise as though merit has no place only discourages genuine applicants.

Bro, a Federal Government job isn't for everyone, and it isn't the only measure of success. Let people apply and try their luck. Advising people to stay proactive is fine, but don't let your personal experiences or assumptions convince others that the process is already compromised. That kind of negativity can even make you lose potential helpers or opportunities. Let's encourage people to be hopeful while remaining realistic...

Just Be positive that's all. It will only get better, corruption can't last forever...

This stage is driven by the QR code verification process, not by who knows who.

Every applicant's QR code is linked to their portal record. Once scanned, your documents, medical, physical, and screening status are uploaded against your unique profile.

No godfather can change what has already been captured under your QR code.

Pray if you believe, but don't ignore the importance of meeting the required standards.

Your screening result speaks louder than connections.

You will be a very slow learner, u remember since 11th December 2025 to January, February, March, April u have been saying 'list will be released this week', 'they have finished everything we will hear from them this week'...... and all these statements were based on the info u were getting from ur uncle in Abuja and it didn't happen until June 2026. Yet u have not learnt anything, u still swallow whatever he tells u hook and sink.
I also know u are poor at mathematics when the board said they shortlisted 60k and the vacancy available is 30k yet u keep saying 99% of those shortlisted (60k) will make the final list meaning 99% of 60k is equal to30k 😆
A good Samaritan here even hinted u that the board quoted the figure to let u know not everyone screened will succeed and to justify their magic wen it happens yet u couldn't pick a lesson from his line 🙂

From my own knowledge is going to be difficult honestly because Ippis will verify your DOB on NIN and the recruitment Data. The feasible option was for you to have altered your DOB before you filled your application at this stage any alterations can back fire. So my advice is since you have made it to medical stage pray hard to God use what you have nobody knows how far you will go in the service you can still make it to Comptroller or Assistant Comptroller General many candidates within your age group have not made it to this stage so just stay calm if you are destined to get the job you will whether by connection God has to approve it first human beings are just vessels in carrying out his deeds stay positive and calm you will make it by his grace

From what I noticed, they printed names of those that has reached this stage in a big tick ladger books, and I guess the only thing that can fail anyone at this stage is medical issues or names not matching with your documents. Soome was arrested for impersonation. I never wanted to alter my nin because of this recruitment that was why I adjusted my age from the recruitment portal since 1989 March was excluded from the portal last year as a result of the limit they placed. Instead of me using September 1989 that was there, I decided to go for 1990 to march the dates, and leave the year to my faith. And indeed it has taken me so far to this stage without any human connection. It is purely God Factor. I will stay calm and stop panicking, if next stage calls for me again I will go with all originals, no affidavits, and face whatever God planned.

Was the age detected during ippis or during physical documentation?

if you have been shortlisted proceed like that don't alter anything because your credentials will be assessed if you are lucky enough i.e you're not too aged you will likely scale through. As for connections some candidates won't attend this screenshot they are just waiting for final list some people will still be served hot breakfast after this screening just pray for grace

What of during ippis that requires accurate data? Are they going to replace 1989 against 1990 that is in the portal.
And out of anxiety I mistakenly uploaded affidavit of age, 1991, I used in one private recruitment against my original birth certificate of 1989 I uploaded during recruitment registration.
Please can you tell me my faith. I'm done with medicals now, just waiting for next stage by the grace of God. I really need a detailed clarification from you, because you seems so experienced.

And please anyone seeing this post that have a positive response to my question should help a brother.

Joining at 37 means you only have 23 years left to serve, with grace and and help of God you may like retire with ASSISTANT COMMANDANT OF CORPS.... salary is almost same with NIS though NIS is slightly higher

What's civil defence salary like and how is the promotion now with the recent CG.
Someone that Joins on the age of 37. Which rank will he likely retire with. Do they pay training allowance and what's the pay also like?

Is the NIS a graduate cadre? If yes you shouldn't be asking this question, the salary is 225k+ and even if its the immigration assistant cadre (olevel) its still far better than a private firm salary of 160k if you shoud get good posting... though the salary is little above 100k for o level, but good posting can complement it. Above all there's room for upgrade and promotion which I'm very sure Nis promotion is very fast compare to police and few other pala-military agencies.

You can get Shortlisted by merit but making the final list that is where the wahala is I was part of the exercise 2023/2024 passed every stage but couldn't make the final list. But if luck is by your side you can still make it with knowing anyone but is very rare.

My fear, is I'm over aged. What is In nin is not what is in the recruitment portal. And I don't want to go for edit until I get the job. The money required is much and the process. I gave them affidavit. Hope I'm good?
As for final list, is on God. Many with connections don't reach this stage now.

See as many people didn't make the shortlist? That's how many people won't make the final list. Usually, only 1 in every 3 candidates (at least) that will go for the physical screening will make it to the final list.

Pray, prepare and if possible, know a guy that knows a guy.
