The Inside Story Of How America’s Intelligence Agencies Tried To Undo Trump’s Election
Journalist Lee Smith's new book, 'The Plot Against the President,' reads like a spy thriller, but it's really a warning about how Trump-era abuses by intelligence agencies threaten to undermine American self-government.

Lee Smith’s new book, The Plot Against the President: The True Story of How Congressman Devin Nunes Uncovered the Biggest Political Scandal in U.S. History, lays out a compelling case of abuse against the United States’ major intelligence agencies. In great detail, he explains how the FBI and the Department of Justice not only abused their power in going after Donald Trump, his campaign, and later his administration, but how they sought to cover it up.

Unlike some of the other recent books on this topic, Smith’s epic has a hero. Smith makes a compelling case that California Rep. Devin Nunes and his steadfast team stood up to an army of Goliaths. This small team of committed truth-seekers took on the most powerful intelligence apparatus in the world, a hostile media, and a dishonest opposition party to hold them accountable for violating American citizens’ constitutional rights.

Smith’s account of what Nunes, his family, and his team went through to expose the covert operation to destroy Trump’s presidency is an emotional roller coaster. Nunes and his team suffered smear campaigns, violent threats, and even a vindictive ethics investigation as a result of their battle to uncover the truth.

Nunes knew he was getting close to the truth when Democrats spent millions in an attempt to unseat him during the midterm elections. When asked whether he ever thought of walking away from the investigation, Nunes replies, “Never. Not once. I knew the more times they came after me, the more they hit me, I knew that I was right over the target.”..................................................much more,

Nunes: Did you know that financial records show a Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma, routed more than $ 3 million to American accounts tied to Hunter Biden?

Vindman, whose job is to handle Ukraine policy: "I'm not aware of this fact."

WTF how is this possible when everyone else know this? All of the Democrats should be forced to wear clown costumes for this circus.

Can blacks be prejudice against whites, hell yes and rightfully so?

A new poll finds that more than one out of every three Chicagoans support using some form of bankruptcy to address the city’s mounting debts, which include upward of $150 billion in unfunded pension liability.

Conducted by Ogden & Fry on behalf of the Illinois Opportunity Project, pollsters found 36 percent of respondents favor bankruptcy, compared to 21 percent of those in favor of raising taxes as a way of trying to tackle the deficit. Of the 534 respondents that were randomly selected from a pool of 2020 general election voters earlier this month, 42.7 percent were undecided on the issue.

At a time when at least 20 percent of all Chicagoans live in poverty and almost half of all households earn less than $50,000 annually, pollsters noted that the massive deficit leaves every taxpayer nearly $145,000 in the hole in pension liability alone. Bankruptcy allows a municipality to reduce its debt by restructuring pensions and other debt obligations.

Despite raising taxes on several fronts in recent years, the city still remains tens of billions of dollars underwater. The central question in the three-question survey asked residents if they would “rather the City of Chicago continue to raise taxes, like property taxes, to address the pension crisis, or use bankruptcy to restructure pension benefits to make pension obligations sustainable and affordable?”

"...But Burisma wasn’t just under scrutiny in the West. The Ukrainian prosecutor general, Viktor Shokin, also was probing the company’s crookedness. And this is where Hunter Biden’s hubris becomes his father’s biggest political pitfall.

Biden was caught bragging about threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees in 2016 unless the Ukrainian president fired Shokin. The prosecutor resigned in February 2016; the White House announced the loan guarantee and $335 million in U.S. aid in March 2016.

Biden’s Defense Founders
Team Biden explains away his demand for Shokin’s ouster as an effort to replace one corrupt Ukrainian prosecutor with a more credible official. This is the line the media and Biden continue to parrot.

Biden’s defense, however, took a blow on Wednesday. Rep. Chris Stewart (R-Utah) noted there are “dozens and dozens of countries steeped in corruption.” These nations, Stewart added, are home to hundreds of corrupt government officials. Kent and Taylor agreed.

But here was the crusher: “Can you give me an example any time where the vice president of the United States shows up and demands that a specific prosecutor be fired and gives them a six-hour time limit to do that?” Stewart asked Kent and Taylor. “Are you aware of that happening any other place?’

Neither answered. “I guess the answer is no,” Stewart said. They also concurred when Stewart suggested that someone should not be shielded from any sort of investigation because they are a candidate for public office. “No one is above the law, sir,” Kent replied...."

Nothing more than a dog and pony show for public consumption. Dems are total losers.

House Democrats are publicly holding out hope that historic impeachment hearings will persuade a vast majority of the American public that President Donald Trump committed high crimes and misdemeanors — but privately many acknowledge that it's unlikely to happen.

In a private meeting this week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her top lieutenants were skeptical about the prospects of a dramatic shift in opinion even as public impeachment hearings began this week, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. The upshot, the sources said: Democrats need to move forward with impeachment proceedings even if the politics are murky, noting that even during Richard Nixon's presidency most of the public was divided until soon before he was forced to resign........................

One Mitch McConnell (R), a minority leader in 2008, said just after Obama was sworn in as president, said "the single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president".

Even Trump made sure Obama did have peace with his 'birthers' campaign that Obama isn't a US citizen.
So what they never used illegal fisa court crap, they never used bogus impeachment hearings.

You are a joker. How was Mike Flynn a holdover from Obama administration?

He was fired from his post as the Director of Defence Intelligence Agency in 2014. After that He was a senior advisor to Trump on National Security issues during the presidential elections in 2016.

Stop putting forward false information in a public forum.
Flynn will never serve a day in jail.

Muller did the best he could under the straitjacket conditions he was given, namely;
He must report and take directions from the AG
He cannot indict a sitting president
He is limited to investigating only collusion
Trump refused to be questioned, but only sent in written deposition (written by his lawyer), half of which said I don't recall.

Even with all these limitations, Muller made a strong case for obstruction of Justice, the report of which he hope will be sent to congress, but AG Barr has refused to release the full report till date.
The obstruction of justice was the Mueller investigation. Deep State covering their tracks. It was an unjust investigation, a witch hunt.

The process crime was lying to congress. Roger Stone lied to congress to cover up for Trump's collusion. The Muller report did not say there was no collusion, what the report specifically said was that he could not prove collusion, given that Trump and his administration refused to cooperate and was engaging in obstruction of Justice.

The same thing is playing out with the impeachment hearings. Trump and the state department is obstructing justice by instructing all officials with first hand information not to appear before congress. They would then go on and say look, the people testifying do not have first hand information. If someone with first hand information goes against Trump's instructions and actually comes to testify, Trump and his Nazi allies would attack the persons personality and call them traitors or never Trumpers. That is always their strategy to cover for Trump's crimes.
If they are not afraid, and actually want first hand information, why not ask Gulianni or Pompeo to testify.
Don't worry, Alexander Vindman who had first hand information would testify. You guys are already calling him a spy.

You are nuts. There was never any Collusion with the Russian government and Trump. It is all a made fairy tale to do the Mueller witch hunt.
All of this is nothing more than show me than I will show you the crime Stalin tactics.

The question is, was there quid pro quo in the conversation between Trump and Ukraine's president?.
Not from what I read in the 2 transcripts. All politics is quid pro quo, like foreign aid. We give $$$ to Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Israel and then they use that money to buy USA manufactured military weapons systems. Trump said early on give me money to build a wall and I will work with you on DACA. Dems said no and Trump EO'ed DACA.
