Thank you all for the congratulation message.Really appreciate it. now to my BS. My edd was supposed to be on the 25 of Dec but I was woken up by strong contractions around 1am of18th. I monitored the contractions and noticed the intervals were not consistent. We decided to wait till day break before heading to the hospital.

Got to the hospital and I was hoping I will only be examined and sent back home because I had prayed fervently not to deliver before edd because of some family arrangement but the nurses decided to keep me at the hospital, without examining and the doctors kept passing me by. I was examined later in the day (dat thing they pain die) and my cervix was still closed, na so the doctor say I come play for hospital that I should lie down and eat nothing solid.

I was getting frustrated cos two pregnant women came in after me and were delivered of their babies. Saturday morning during rounds, I was examined again and I was 2 cm dilated, the thing come tire me because I felt I would be more dilated considering it is over 24hrs I have been in labour, at this point tears began to flow from my eyes and another set of prayer began. 2hours after, I was reexamined and was 3cm, called my sis who is a midwife to explain what the doctor said, she told me point blank that if I think I can cope with long hours of labour I should opt for CS. Na so anxiety come set in, I told her I will switch off my phone because I was tired of all the calls and noise my phone was making. I also told my husband to leave, since he wasn't allowed into the labour room.

By the time Iaid back on the bed, I discovered my mucus plug had come off. Around to 12, some drips were administered and oxytocin was included, my water was broken by the doctor using a scissor like instrument.

Within 30mins, I started feeling the effects of the drip, the pain can't be explained, tried every idea I had in mind not to shout, from counting 1-10 to breathing in and out but sometimes I couldn't help the loud noise I was making And because I was the only one in the labour room the nurses had my time.

By 1pm, I had the urge to poo, told the nurse and they ignored me, I had to keep shouting before they took me serious, the midwife checked me and discovered I was fully dilated and was surprised, she said she felt I Won't be till Evening. Was rushed to the delivery room, I never knew pushing is not a walk in the park, I was pushing and the nurses kept telling me I was not doing it right, can't remember how many times I pushed still no show, I then began to tell the baby to come out and stress me cause I am tired from the hard work he subject me. when it was getting prolonged, I was given a little cut and baby came out by 1:15 pm weighing 3.5kg and placenta followed.

I am sorry for the delay in bs, has to quickly type this while lo is asleep. Vigilante is real and even worse when you have no help. To the remaining belleful mama's, quick and safe delivery I pray for you. to all that have given birth, May they be a source of joy and blessing to us.

Alhamdulilah robbil almeen. Gave birth to a baby boy this afternoon. to all the other te December, I wish you safest delivery and all the going to conceive(GTC) you will get your bfp before the year runs out. BS coming soon.

Sleeping suit, bath set, savlon,baby cup, blanket, silverbird, blue seal Vaseline, Shea butter, coconut oil, shawl, bassinet, bibs, socks, face towel, caps, diapers, sweater, onesis, flannel, towels, pegs, baby wipes, spirit, cottonwool, sponge, sponge and soap case, trolley, sterilizer ( manual or electric) feeding bottle ( I bought tomtipee cos my sister used it for a child and it is still in good condition after two years, avent breastpad, flasks (I own haer and titan. The titan I have has GNT inscribed on it, and they are both stainless), cup and spoon, methylated balm, diapers bag, hanger, combination set, baby pants, manicure set, drawer ( though I didn't buy I intend to make one or convert one of the wardrope in my house for baby use) agnesia powder ( bought for later use) baby bedsheets, bottle warmer, disposable pants, comfit, some outing clothes ( from 3 month above) naming ceremony attire for baby, Milton sterilizer, cotton bud, breast pump, brush for washing feeding bottle. For baby soap I bought boot, Milton and sebamed body wash, I bought different soap based On the results I have on the baby it is used for.
baby carrier and rocker. You can add cot, bouncer But I didn't buy them.

Babycarrier is good esp when u go to crowded places, enter buses or go to parties where you dont trust ppl (African mentality) but for comfort for the child and to relieve colic/ stomach upset in newborns, use wrapper and oja....it works like magic.
The price range is btw 2,500- 6,000. Check out the straps, backrest etc. New ones can just be as good as fairly used. Quality is the key.
