lexy2014: Off point. that is not what I asked you. pls try again.
1. I don't remember asking you for the meaning of experience. I asked "HOW" is a team that got to the final of CL not experienced for "that level of football"?
In other words, how did they qualify for the final?
What is UEFAs criteria for any team to be qualified to play in the final?
2. what is the "level of football" that they are inexperienced for?
The "level of football" is .............
You are bringing in figures. Can you defend your figures? How did you arrive at your 95%?
3. But if we have to go by your definition, pls which experience did Ajax have in 1995 when they won the CL against AC Milan and which experience did Dortmund in 1997 when they won the CL against Juventus? Adieu |

I don't know what you mean by try again, I love football and I find the discussion interesting. I don't get an award for convincing you. That said, Dortmund has gained experience by getting to the final, these same set of players will do better in another final. Talking about percentage, only man city has won the champions league for the first time in 15yrs and that's around 5% the other 14 teams were winningit for at least the 2nd time, you could do the same maths for the world Cup and various leagues and prove me wrong. |

Yes off course there are one offs like liecester and montpellier winning the league, Greece winning the Euros, Sheriff Tirapsol beating Madrid. Why do you think employers ask for years of experience? Madrid wasn't lucky, this is something they have consistently done over the years. |

1. how is a team that got to the final of CL not experienced for "that level of football"?
2. what is the "level of football" that they are inexperienced for? Experience simply means that you have done something before. 95% of the Dortmund lads and coaching crew were gracing the UCL final for the first time. |

lexy2014: how is a team that got to the final of CL not experienced for "that level of football"? what is the "level of football" that they are inexperienced for? Borussia Dortmund were playing their first final in 11yrs, Madrid are used to the big stage, they had a coach who is a serial UCL winner. Alaba, Courtois, Carvajal, Modrid, Kroos, Rudiger, Velverde even Rodrigo and Vinicius have tasted it before. None apart from Reus in the Dortmund ranks knew what playing a UCL final felt like |

Arsenal wenger is a great coach too, spent 22yrs at arsenal and never won anything in Europe, mourinho has also spent 20+ years in management but won it just twice, he didn't win it with madrid despite have a star studded squad. |

Chinjo2: In case most of you don't understand the need for NLC and TUC to stand their grounds, 54k is just N100 per meal for a family of 6 (Father, mother and 4 children for 30 days).
N100 X 3 = N300 N300 X 6 = N1,800 N1,800 X 30 days = 54k
In most parts of the country, you can't even get a plate of food for N500 talk less of N100.
This is just for feeding. What about house rent, Electricity bills, fueling, school fees, hospitals bills etc.
Hope this regime is favouring the BATarials? Your analysis is spot on but 615k is too high for me something around 300k is a good bargain. |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi 'Disheartened' By Terrorist attacks In Plateau, Benue by cunny88(m): 10:06am On May 22, 2024 |
emkz: During the Obama-Romney debate in 2012, Romney tried to use the murder of US ambassador to Libya as a campaign issue.
Obama made a profound statement: he said we are talking about human lives here and a commander in chief cannot play politics with human lives or make it a campaign issue.
It took Peter Obi five days to react to the killing of Deborah Samuel, while Atiku deleted a tweet where he condemned it. Tinubu was not on record to have reacted.
Also, Peter Obi rushed to Kano to sympathize with the victims of the inferno in a mosque. Does Peter Obi do these things because he genuinely cares or because of political expediency? Would he have done these if he wasn't interested in running for the presidency? Was he doing it between 2014 and 2022?
Matters of kidnapping, terrorist attacks and needless deaths are serious matters bordering on national security. Instead of latching on it for political gains, a decent human being can propose solutions to help those in power. The Plateau issue is multi-faceted bordering on ethnicity, land, resources and religion. These are sensitive issues and require a multipronged approach.
No one must play politics or seek to get political advantage with it a tragedy.
PS: The government wasted 90 billion naira in Hajj subsidy for Muslims. Why does Peter Obi have no balls to condemn it if he is sincere? I vehemently condemned it here. Very objective and unbiased comments. |
