well since it’s ur Aunty that gave you the phone just call her and tell her t8 send her details so u can sign her out on iCloud

so of all the phone on offerup na cheap iCloud lock iphone u wan buy? Well yes mikky will pick it for you as long as that’s what u want. But what happens afterwards is for u to decide.

Find my iphone means it’s on iCloud of previous owner and buying the phone with it on will cause a problem for u when u wiped it. So it’s better to check that before buying iphone it’s very important

collect ur Aunty’s password and sign her out then create ur own account by going to ur web and google Apple ID use ur email and sign up. It’s pretty easy to setup

I know how much you so want to lay your hands on the second hand iPhone since the brand new one is not pocket friendly in this economic brouhaha.

It will be disheartening to buy ur used iPhone and upon factory reset, you discover you can't login ur details to the icloud to complete set up.

These is what some guys are doing.

They will bypass activation lock whilst the device is still lock to previous users account. If you mistakenly format, or flashed such phone. It get locked to the previous account. In this case your icloud details will not open such phone cuz the previous owner was still registered on the iolcloud server and not yours.


So what you need to do befor buying your second hand iphone

1. Get the imei and run a check on either paid or free server to confirm FIND MY IPHONE (FMI) is off.

If FMI is On and on the phone there no icloud details in it. Buy such device at your own risk

If FMI is off, that's a good deal.

This warning also goes to my fellow software engineer. Befor you flash that iPhone, confirm the status of the FMI. Otherwise client may twist issues

rhe best advice would have bn to flash the phone before paying. A phone might be stolen and the person will lock so even if u check the Imei find my iphone will be showing off because the phone is currently offline and will kick in once the phone is connected to Internet. So the thing is to wipe and then connect to Internet and try login in to iCloud. Wiping iphone doesn’t take more than 3 minutes
