okay ur phone is original but the screen is after market screen. U have nothing to worry about as long as everything checks out fine

Hello beautiful people, I got an iPhone 6 Plus some two months ago and it’s my first time using apple. I discovered that there are two dots beside the front camera lens just above the speaker and every other iPhone 6 Plus I’ve seen has just one dot just above the speaker, while mine has two. I’m scared I was probably sold a refurbished or abnormal phone of some sort. Kindly help urgently with a response in this regard. I’ll be waiting for comments. Thanks

there should be 3 in general the speaker which is long the camera and the proximity sensor. Is there any other dot apart from the 3 I mentioned above? A picture will be very helpful if u can. Check my attached picture

from the picture u attached it shows the iOS has bn downloaded in ur phone but have refused to install. 2 things can cause iOS not to install after downloading. 1 not enough memery space and 2 you are on older iOS like iOS 10 downwards. I will suggest u use iTunes and update u won’t lose ur files but it’s wise to back up ur phone before proceeding. Pls try and update ur phone and then we will take it up from there. But reset the network settings as I suggested before and do hard reset too for the network issues.

go to ur settings reset network settings and after that try hard reset by pressing power button and home button together till the Apple logo shows.

download anytrans or 3utools both are good but I make use of 3utools it’s more convenient especially for putting songs to ur iphone. Use google and search for them

u are sure it’s network unlocked? Any idea the history of the phone? Try hard restart first by holding power button and home button. If no show go to settings and reset network settings if it does not work try resetting and erasing all content if it still didn’t work we will now check if it’s panel

you need to update ur iOS to the latest so u don’t need to go to settings to turn data on u can do all that from the control center by swiping up from the Basel of the screen. Unfortunately Apple has refused to open up their music app so it’s either u download from the iTunes or u use ur laptop to put song in your iphone and they will show up in ur iTunes or u can download third party apps and use them for downloading and playing if ur music. Just feel free to ask anything

well the iPhone 6 I had just sold it last week and funny enough I sold it for 30k because it had small crack. For now I don’t have any. It’s hard to get iphone panel because panel is the phone. But for iPhone 6 u can get ur around 30 to 40k

on the 3G issue it might be network. Maybe the network reception in ur area is not strong or it could be a weak battery. Checkbur battery health in the settings and provide feedback

I have lots of data on this phone

Problem Symptoms
Press power button, Apple logo appears with white background for 2minutes then screen goes black .
If left alone, process will repeat for about 10 minutes before the cycle breaks and the screen stays dimly backlit for hours.
After a few hours the dimly backlit screen will drain the battery and phone will shut off.
Once plugged in, phone will recharge and boot back up to start the whole thing over again.

Problem Origin
Unexplainable , Phone was charged to 18% and unpluged, after a while phone was checked and it was off, It never booted again

Troubleshooting
First thing I tried was replacing the battery, phone will power on, show logo for a few minutes then go blank. (BATTERY REPLACEMENT DIDN'T FIX IT)
Tried starting with the camera assembly completely disconnected and nothing changed.
Tried starting with nothing but LCD screen connected (no digitizer, no front assembly, no home button) and nothing changed.
Disconnected battery and tried starting while plugged in to charger. Phone got stuck in reboot cycle again as if nothing changed with battery out.
Let battery completely die until phone indicating that it needs to be plugged in to charge. Then I left it on the charger overnight. It recharged, powered back up and loop started again.
Took phone apart down to logic board to see if something is disconnected and brushed all connectors before I reassembled. No change.

Updated iTunes to try and flash or restore the phone (i have the latest ipsw flash file) then plugged in my phone to see if I can update. As the process starts phone reboots and gets stuck in loop again. iTunes says I should do a restore.
Tried manual firmware update by holding shift while clicking "Update" in iTunes and used the latest firmware file which I had already downloaded. As soon as update process starts phone reboots and gets stuck in loop again.
Started restore process in iTunes acknowledging that it will wipe all my data. As soon as restore process starts phone reboots and gets stuck in loop again.
I've used Dfu mode and even recovery to restore the phone, But eachtime the process want's to load the firmware into the phone, it will go off.
I've tried itunes, 3utools e.t.c

I don't think it's a software issue anymore. Most techs I talk to are quite confused after i explain the things i've done to get it fixed up.

A techie suggested Tristar ic replacement (usb ic), some said booting ic


any tip here would be welcomed

wow you really know ur way around iphone. I think it’s ic problem and it needs a good engineer who can use soldering iron very well.

I don’t know but I know sprint is somehow hard and expensive. U can check Nairaland here u will see some people that can do that. But if the money is much u can buy chip for 2500 and do world wide unlock

It was most likely used. Because the u2 ic was removed and put back, another ic he called booting ic was worked on.i can't open the phone now to verify but my assumption was based on what the first repairman told me .

It was not the battery, my own battery was drained but he put a new battery and the phone still cannot boot instead the new battery was drained too.
I was there when he removed my battery and boosted it, the battery bosst was successful but the phone could not boot, just drained the battery again when he was attempting to boot it.

so sorry about that bro. It’s panel issue then
