It's CHRISTMAS not Xmas.May i call the attention of my friends,colleagues and families on a thread that I found to be a grave error that comes at the end of every year. As we get into season of christmas,the regular greetings in the air is "HAPPY XMAS". X is the 24th letter of the alphabetical table representing a consonant sound,it is use in denoting the next after 'W' in a set of items, categories, it is use to represent a vote on a ballot paper,a kiss or represent the signature of one(1) who cannot write.Until 1983 it was used to indicate movies which cannot b shown to people under 18 years in Uk and 1990 in US. X represents the figure 10 in roman numeral as well as indicate something that is incorrect.It's also used to indicate somebody who's unknown or unspecified.In the U.S, X can mean, "" crossed out, indicating that a matter is removed or ended.In mathematics,X is used in indication of multiplication or name for independent or unknown variable.X is used to denote the principal or horizontal axis in a system of co-ordinates, X is commonly used as a generic mark(selecting an item on a form,indicating a location on a map e.t.c.).Is it right to substitute christ with X? Have you ever thought about this? Can someone tell me how christ can be related to X and then can be inter-switched. Do u not think that this is an error we commit in our normall way to find shortcut to things. This is definitely a wrong shortcut. The christ of Christmas is not the one in Xmas. In celebrating this season, the message is about christ and lets take all the time to fully express Him and the blessings of His birth. Please Mods, help me out on this for the first time to post this thread...share these thought with those around you.copy and paste on your different pages lets correct this error before we pass it unto our children. ROSSIKE: Here is your answer: In reality, there is no such thing as "before" and "after". The concept of linear time only applies in our physical world. In absolute reality, where God exists, there is no "past" and "future". Everything occurs simultaneously in the "Eternal Now". It is a difficult concept to grasp from our position, but that is the truth. In fact your life is occurring all at once. Anyone who exits our space-time continuum can easily access and observe any stage of your life, from birth to old age. Like rewinding or fast forwarding a CD. It is only WITHIN the continuum ie when you yourself are a character in the CD, that the events in it appear to you to occur in a linear sequence of "past, present, future" etc, but in reality there is no such thing.
