Crime / Teenager Remanded For Allegedly Robbing With Toy Gun In Ogun by Cyb3rhack3r: 4:16pm On Dec 30, 2014
An Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court on
Tuesday remanded two men including a
teenage boy, Dayo Akinola, for allegedly
robbing a motorcyclist with a toy gun.
Akinola, 19, and his accomplice,
Damilola Aroyeun, 23, are facing trial on
a two-count of armed robbery and
possession of firearms.
The Magistrate, Mr Emmanuel Adekunte,
who did not take the pleas of the
accused, said they should be kept
behind bars at Ibara Prisons pending
advice from the State Director of Public
Prosecutions (DPP).
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Augustine
Ozimini told the court that the accused
committed the offences on Dec. 8 at
about 10.09 p.m. at Isale Abetu in the
Ogun capital.
He said the two accused robbed one
Daniel Ogunseye of his motorcycle
valued at N200,000 with a toy gun.
“The duo accosted Ogunseye at a
deserted area and threatened to shoot
him with the toy gun if he failed to
surrender his motorcycle to them.’’
The offences, the prosecutor said,
contravened Sections 1(2), (a) , and 6
(b) of the Armed Robbery and Firearms
(Special Provisions) Act, Laws of
Nigeria.
The magistrate adjourned the case to
March 3 for mention. (NAN)

Politics / Obasanjo’s Desire For Change Unites Us -APC by Cyb3rhack3r: 4:16pm On Dec 29, 2014
The All Progressives Congress has said
former President Olusegun Obasanjo, was
sympathetic to the cause of the party
because of his desire for positive change in
2015. Deputy National Chairman (North) of
the All Progressives Congress, Senator Lawal
Shuaibu said this in an interview with
reporters in Abuja, on Sunday. He noted that
the former President who is still an active
member of the ruling Peoples Democratic
Party, was like most Nigerians; desirous of
an end to maladministration and impunity.
According to him, while it was true that
Obasanjo is not a card carrying member of
the APC, his interest in bringing about a
change in the way things are done is glaring.
Shuaibu said, “We don’t have any connection
with Obasanjo other than Obasanjo
sympathising with anybody that could effect
change in this country. “He is not a member
of our party mind you, he is still a PDP man
but for the fact that he is a former
democratic President in this country people
listen to him. “More often than not, some
people go to seek for his advice both from
PDP, APC and other parties. But he is
interested in the type of change we are
driving at, so he is to a certain extent
sympathetic with the APC.”
He noted that there was nothing wrong with
the APC receiving members of the PDP who
have come to realise their mistakes. The APC
chieftain said the party has put in place a
machinery to ensure strict adherence to its
policies and programmes as contained in its
manifesto. He explained that parties which
came together to form the APC have all
agreed to adhere strictly to the code of
conduct as well as ethics enshrined in the
founding principles of the new party. Shuaibu
also assured Nigerians that the APC will
strictly observe the provisions of its
constitution and the party manifesto as well
as ensure the supremacy of the party.
Reacting to the over N21 billion raised by
PDP to fund President Jonathan’s re-election,
Shuaibu said his party was not worried. He,
however, said that of the APC will be
transparent and made public in a manner
consistent with its avowed commitment to
transparency.

Politics / Teacher Saves Maryam Babangida College From Bomb Attack by Cyb3rhack3r: 10:11pm On Nov 13, 2014
Another attempted attack on Thursday at Maryam
Babangida Girls Science College, Minna, by two
unidentified men was foiled by a teacher in the
school.

The female teacher was
rushing to the school through a foot path early in
the morning when she was inhaled the smell of
Indian Hemp and stopped to look around.
She reportedly sighted two men that had already
changed into the school uniform and were about to
put on the Hijab.
The strange men were said to have asked her to turn
back, if she wanted to remain alive.
It was gathered that the teacher she took to her heels,
but rather than running home, she went through the
main gate to alert the school that had already
gathered on the assembly.
When the students got wind of the information, there
was confusion in the school as the students fled in
different directions out of panic.
The school authorities, our correspondent learnt,
alerted the police, military and men of the State
Security Services, whose quick arrival helped to calm
the students down.
Speaking with newsmen in her office, the Principal of
the School, Hajiya Fatima Madugu, said the
information given by one of the teachers at 7:30am
saved the school from being attacked.

Pictures of the teacher are made private to
safeguard her and keep her anonymous due to the
ongoing crisis.

The former General Superintendent, Assemblies of God
Church, Rev. Paul Emeka, has been detained by the
Police for certificate forgery and for parading himself
as a professor of Theology.
Emeka who was interrogated by the Force Criminal
Investigation Department,Abuja, on Wednesday,
may be arraigned in court on Friday. If convicted, he
may be jailed for between 10 and 21 years.
The cleric was recently sacked as the leader of the
AGC, and was also ex-communicated from the
ministry for allegedly dragging the name of the
church in the mud by instituting legal suits and
using law enforcement agencies to witch-hunt some
of their leaders.
Our correspondent gathered that Emeka’s ordeal
began when he was picked up by the IG Monitoring
Team based on complaints from the National
University Commission, which confirmed that his
professorship certificate was fake.
It was learnt that Emeka confessed to Police
interrogators that he purchased the professorship
certificate from one Prof. Okoro, who was deported
from the United States to Nigeria.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel
Ojukwu, confirmed the detention of the cleric and his
planned arraignment in court for certificate forgery.
He said, “I am aware that Rev. Emeka is with us and
he was interrogated on Wednesday by detectives for
parading himself as a professor. He may be
arraigned in court on Friday.”

Politics / I Joined APC To Reclaim What Igbos Lost In PDP– Okorocha by Cyb3rhack3r: 9:50am On Nov 13, 2014
Chairman of the Progressive Governors ’ Forum
and governor of Imo
State , Owelle Rochas Okorocha , has disclosed
that his reason for joining the All Progressives
Congress (APC ) was to liberate the Igbo from
the many years of marginalisation and
neglect that they have suffered at the hands
of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) .
Okorocha stated this at the campaign rally
organised by the South -East elders and
leaders of the APC at the Igbozurumee Cultural
Centre, Enugu, Enugu State.
Okorocha maintained that it was necessary
for him to vie for the highest leadership
position in the country so that the Igbo could
reclaim their lost opportunities in the scheme
of things in the nation .
“ APC is the only party that can guarantee the
welfare of Ndigbo and the rest of Nigerians in
2015” he said.
He stated that, because the APC has not zoned
the presidency to any particular region of the
country , his emergence as President in the 2015
polls would surprise many, particularly the
PDP . He added that he had all the resources to
realise his ambition.
At the occasion, Okorocha also presented two
APC governorship aspirants in Enugu State,
Ifeanyi Asogwa and Chief Okey Ezea, to the
crowd at the rally.
Addressing the aspirants as Excellencies -in-
Waiting, the Imo State governor advised them
to emulate his leadership style when either of
them becomes the governor of Enugu . He
enjoined the people of Enugu State to vote the
APC come 2015 .
Also present at the rally were the former
governor of Anambra State , Chris Ngige, the
former National Vice Chairman of the APC
and governorship aspirant in Abia State ,
Nyerere Anyim , and many other party
stalwarts in the South- East.

Romance / What To Do When The Girl You Love Has A Boyfriend by Cyb3rhack3r: 9:37am On Nov 13, 2014
f the girl you like has a boyfriend and you still
want her, you really need to be thorough.
After all, if she has a boyfriend, you really do
need to steal a girl from her guy and you can’t
do that without all the details.
So in this part, I’m going to tell you the five not-
so-obvious moves and the five sneaky dirty
things you can do to steal a girlfriend from
right under her guy’s nose .

Undercover moves – Five not-so-obvious
signs

Here, we play safe and keep it simple. We don’t
really want to scare her away just because she
has a boyfriend. Make her like you first, lover
boy.

Get to know everything she can tell

This is important if she has a boyfriend. Once
you’re friends with her, you need to become
something more than that.
So talk about her favorite dates, her kind of movies,
the little annoying stuff she’s done, and everything
else.
Just to warm her up, you start off by narrating the
time you ripped your pants off while trying to
jump into a girl’s house. Just as long as you open
up, she will too, and you know what, she’s going
to love talking to you!

Are you better than him?

The test of manliness. Talk about her guy. Pop the
question. Ask her what kind of a guy he is. If
you’re getting into her good books, she will keep it
simple. Then ask her what she thinks of you.
Compare both the scores out aloud. Laugh and talk
about what you can do to tilt the balance in your
favor. And
then get back to talking about how they met, and
more blah, blah and blah about her guy.
Make her love you!
She’s in love with her man, but that could change.
Impress her, be a man around her. Give her the space
when
she meets her pals or is on the phone when both of
you are together, so she can be comfortable when
you’re
around.
Remember her special days, her deadlines, and
anything else, even if it is really trivial. Show her
that even her
little things are really important to you. And wait for
the good times.

Be her other guy

Now get this straight, you be her other guy, not her
back-up guy. If you find that she’s just using you
as her
Man Friday when he’s not around, walk out.
She should respect you and want you. Don’t go
trailing her at every opportunity you get. If you
really want to
steal a girlfriend, you need to keep it slow, and talk
to her once in a while, at least once a day if you
work at the
same place, or alternate days or less if it’s over the
phone. Let her miss you when you aren’t around.
Drive her to
work if you can, give her the attention, and
basically, treat her like a princess when you’re
together.

Give her what her guy can’t give

Pamper her. You may not be around her all the time,
and her guy may be. But that doesn’t matter.
Because your
one hour around her can do more damage to him
than all day.
Talk and be genuinely interested in her. If you get a
call when she’s with you, see if you can cancel and
call
back, and let her see that. She should know how
special the times both of you share is to you. And
more than
anything else, maintain intense eye contact with her
when both of you talk. Make her feel like she’s the
only
thing in the world you care about when you’re with
her.

The Five Sneaky Lil Signs
– Getting down and dirty
Dig all info

She has a boyfriend already. And there may be a
few things she knows but she won’t tell. And any
info about
her is good info. That’s where her pals come into the
picture. If you know them in the first place, then go
on and
ask a few things about her. But very discreetly, of
course.
You don’t want them to know you’re hitting on her.
And admit it, if you do like her, you’re definitely
going to
want to talk about her.

The annoying mo-fo, her boyfriend
Find out more about her guy from any source you
can get. There may always be a few skeletons that
could be
dug out here. So he doesn’t believe in holding doors
open for a woman? The next time you talk to her, tell
her the
story about a man who doesn’t open doors for
women, and how annoying that is.
See, that’s like letting her know her guy isn’t all that
great, without actually talking about him. On the
other
hand, talk about how much you live by the code of
chivalry. Discreetly, of course!

“Bump” into her

So you know things about her. Good. Does she hang
out on weekends at a particular place? Did her
friends tell
you that? Excellent. As long as she hasn’t told you
that, and you’ve figured it out yourself, go for the
kill.
Accidentally bump into her at the same place, and
pretend like your “surprise” meeting is a damn sign
from
heaven that you guys have to be together. Ask her
out to coffee or lunch. You know, these occasional
bumping
scenarios could actually take you somewhere.

Who’s that guy?
Remember, for you, her boyfriend is of no value. So
treat him like one. Unless you know him on first-
name basis,
refer to him as ‘your boyfriend’ when you talk to her.
She may talk about how much she loves him, and
blah, but
it doesn’t matter. And at times, when she goes on
and on about him, yawn pointedly and make sure
she knows
it’s a fake yawn. But do make sure you laugh after
you do that, you’d want to make it seem like a joke
instead
of a rude gesture.

Same workspace
Sometimes, we end up liking a girl in the same
workspace. And to make things worse, her boyfriend
could work
there too. So when you’re talking to her once in a
while, there’s a fair chance that he’d end up joining
the
conversation too. Don’t lose your enthusiasm here, but
stay away from flirty comments. But the second he
walks
away, thank your lucky starts loudly and get back
to your flirty talk.
A line that goes like, “Thank you God, at last, I can
get a few minutes with this beautiful girl without
her
boyfriend around!” not only gets the point across,
but also sounds humorous.
She has a boyfriend and you really want to know
how to steal a girlfriend. Follow these tips and she’ll
fall
in love with you even before you ask her out.

Politics / M.K.O Abiola's Widow Asks Court To Bar PDP From Fielding Jonathan by Cyb3rhack3r: 7:10pm On Nov 12, 2014
A Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential aspirant,
Prof. Akasoba Duke-Abiola, has asked a Federal
High Court in Abuja to stop the party from
nominating any candidate as its presidential
candidate at its planned primaries.
Duke-Abiola’s contention is that the party cannot
validly hold the primaries, having allegedly flouted
the provisions of the party’s constitution and the
Electoral Act by refusing to provide her the party’s
Expression of Interest Form after paying N2m for it.
She maintained in her suit filed on Tuesday and
marked FHC/ABJ/CS/836/14, that the party had
shunned her repeated demand for the Expression of
Interest Form after paying the N2m fee into the
party’s account.
She filed the suit through her lawyer , Mr. Festus
Keyamo, urging the court to stop the PDP from
holding the presidential primary on the grounds of
the alleged violation of the relevant laws by the
party.
The PDP has since adopted President Goodluck
Jonathan as its consensus presidential candidate
ahead of the 2015 poll.
But Duke-Abiola, a widow of the acclaimed winner
of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, Chief M.K.O
Abiola, seeks an order of perpetual injunction
against the PDP restraining it from fielding any
candidate for the purpose of the 2015 presidential
election.
The PDP and the Independent National Electoral
Commission are the defendants in the suit.
The plaintiff wants the court to declare that failure
of the PDP to issue to her the Expression of Interest
Form for the office of the President is a violation to
Article 3 (1) (a) and (b) of the Electoral Guidelines for
Primary Elections, 2014 of the PDP.
She wants the court to declare that by virtue of
provisions of PDP constitution and Section 87(1) and
(9) of the Electoral Act 2010, the party is
under obligation to comply with ALL the rules made
under the Electoral Guidelines for Primary Elections
2014 of the PDP.
Part of her prayers read, ” A declaration that the
failure, refusal or neglect of the 1st Defendant (PDP)
to make available to the Plaintiff the Expression of
Interest Form code no PD 002/P, despite repeated
demands and upon payment of the mandatory
N2,000,000.00 is a breach of Article 3(1)(a) and (b) of
the ‘Electoral Guidelines for Primary Elections 2014 of
the PDP’.
“A declaration that in view of Section 87 (1), (7) and
(9) of the Electoral Act, 2010, the 1st defendant
cannot lawfully hold a valid primaries to nominate
a presidential candidate for the purpose of 2015
General elections.
“A declaration that, having failed to comply with
the ‘Electoral Guidelines for Primary Elections 2014 of
the PDP’, and in view of the provision of section 87(9)
of the Electoral Act, 2010, the 1st Defendant (PDP)
cannot validly field any candidate for the
Presidential Election in 2015.
” A declaration that the 2nd defendant cannot
accept any candidate fielded by the 1st defendant
for purposes of the Presidential Election in 2015, by
reason of the provisions of Section 87 (9) of the
Electoral Act, 2010.
“An order of perpetual injunction restraining the 2nd
Defendant from accepting any candidate fielded by
the 1st defendant for purposes of the 2015
presidential elections.”
The case has yet to be assigned to any judge and
the defendants had not filed their responses.

Politics / How To Stop Corruption In Nigeria by Cyb3rhack3r: 8:01am On Nov 11, 2014
In Nigeria, The alarming rate of corruption is
rapidly increasing . This calls for severe actions and
anti corruption policies to be put in place. Nigerians
should be wondering what the so called national
conference has added to the development of this
country. It is therefore right for the
citizens to choose the best anti corruption policies to
be taken by their representatives.
It is quite unfortunate that corrupt leaders are
capitalising on the fact that Nigerians are
peace loving people to carry out fraudulent
transactions. If Nigerians took to the streets
like citizens Middle-Eastern countries and became
violent ,These leaders would sit up and
do their jobs properly. A comprehensive review of the
Nigerian Constitution should be carried out
and the proper amendments made
Below i will outline the best measures to stop
corruption in Nigeria

REMOVAL OF IMMUNITY CLAUSE FROM ERRING
STATE EXECUTIVES

The misconduct of most governors is getting so much
that many Nigerians are wondering
if the constitution needs to be amended , I must say
that removing Immunity clause would
help reduce corruption drastically,in the sense that it
exposes the governor to civil and criminal prosecution
while in office.
The specification that it should strip immunity
clause from erring
governors only is to avoid unnecessary interference
with the actions of state governors.Under the current
constitution, The President and State Executives Are
immune from indictment while in office. The reason
behind this can be easily explained- Indicting an
incumbent governor or president would interfere with
the executive's capacity and its ability to perform its
constitutionally assigned functions and thus would
be inconsistent with the present constitutional
structure. However there is certainly no good reason to
leave a dormant governor to keep stealing at the
expense of the poor masses. Therefore any legally
elected executive of a state should be stripped of
immunity once he is found wanting. The best way to
monitor the actions of governors is the appointment
of a six or seven-man comittee that its constitutional
duty would be to go on a tour of every state in the
federation and report the state of things to the
predident. This commitee would go on an impromptu
visit to the states in order to prevent the state governor
of the state they are visiting from being aware of
their presence.

ELECTED OFFICIALS SHOULD PRESENT PHYSICAL
EVIDENCE OF DECLARATION OF ASSETS

Most Nigerian Lawmakers who carry out these
corrupt practices and are not indicted because there
declaration of assets
has already been planned and forged with no
physical proof. A typical Nigerian Lawmaker who
plans to steal 100 million while
in office would declare the value of his assets as 105
million naira, this is in order to avoid being probed
when he leaves office.
In a setting where he does not show physical proof off
those assets,and he is believed.

INDICTED OFFICIALS SHOULD BE BANNED FROM
ALL POLITICAL PARTIES/PLACED ON A JAIL TERM
NOT LESS THAN 16 YEARS

Any Individual who is found to be carrying out
fraudulent and corrupt actions while in office
should be banned from associating with
any political party . This includes banning the
official from entering any constitutionally elected
official's office or lodge. If he fails to comply
with the above rules, he should be sent to jail. In
Nigeria, There are claims that anti corruption policies
are in place but the court of law still
shows mercy to these men who should be locked up
behind bars for trying to make profit at the expense
of the poor masses. It is laughable to
say that in Nigeria,A man who may steal 100
million, may be asked to bail himself with 300,000
and a surety which is not even up to what he stole
this is caused by the lack of independence of the
judiciary

THE CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE COUNTRY SHOULD BE
ELECTED BY FELLOW LAWYERS NOT APPOINTED
BY THE EXECUTIVE ARM OF GOVERNMENT

This act practically hinders the full function of the
judiciary as an independent institution. The
judiciary works hand in hand with the legislative
and the
executive arm of government .In a situation where the
individuals in charge of the executive and legislative
arm of government are elected by the masses
the head of the judiciary should not be selected by
the executive because this makes it hard for the
judiciary to check the errors of the judiciary.
Due to the fact that most people are not aware of the
judges who are incorruptible, in this democratic
system of government , lawyers should vote the
person whom they feel is good enough to take charge
of the supreme court

PARENTS SHOULD TEACH THEIR CHILDREN GOOD
MORALS BECAUSE THEY ARE THE LEADERS OF
TOMORROW

It is always good to try to fix a problem from the
source. Parents should try as much as possible to
make to give their children
a good moral upbringing and a very good
foundation .
The message i have for my fellow Nigerian youths is
simple and straightfoward,''Until Nigerian Youths
Step Forward And Take What Rightfully Belongs To
Them , Nigeria would remain corrupt. I rest my case.

Sports / Why Adidas Dumped Super Eagles by Cyb3rhack3r: 2:17pm On Nov 07, 2014
Facts have emerged on why sportswear
manufacturers , adidas , dumped its contract
with Super Eagles, despite the team ’s second
round placing at the 2014 World Cup in
Brazil .
NFF source revealed on Thursday that adidas
pulled out as result of the failure of the then
Aminu Maigari- led board to enforce terms of
the contract as it concerns players and coaches
of the Super Eagles .
adidas agents , we gathered, were pissed off to
see players and coaches of the Eagles openly
doning shirts and caps of a prominent rival
brand (probably Nike) in their hotel in Brazil .
The ugly spectre, one of the many failings of
the Maigari NFF, was photographed by the
adidas agent .
This is contrary to the claims that the crisis
rocking the country ’s football administration
was the reason behind adidas action.
We learnt that adidas had during the World
Cup concluded plans to severe the contract.
The NFF management we also learnt is
making frantic efforts to send emissaries to
Germany to beg adidas to reconsider its
stand.
