Baga by the sect remained the deadliest in
the history of Boko Haram’s over five-year
reign of terror in the North-East as no fewer
than 2,000 people were feared killed in the

Celebrities / Check Out Etcetera's Letter To Pastor Chris Oyakhilome by Cyb3rhack3r: 10:02am On Jan 10, 2015
Dear Pastor Chris Oyakhilome,
Greetings in the name of the Lord. I
hope this letter finds you in the best of
spirit and health.
I write to you, in the same form that
Paul wrote to the Ephesians expressing
his advice and counsel to the followers
of Jesus Christ. If I had 1,000 tongues, I
could not thank God enough for your
role in winning souls for the kingdom. I
bless God for revealing through you the
divine plans of Jesus Christ for us.
Through you, a lot of people have
experienced Jesus in person.
I write to you as a Christian who is
saddened by the series of troubling
news emanating from your church,
Christ Embassy. I am worried that the
seeds you have planted in us through
your teachings may no longer germinate
as a result of the numerous scandals
coming out of the church. The roots of
your messages, spiritual guidance and
leadership
that once brought deeper understanding
of the workings of God need a little
more reassuring with the church toeing
this ungodly path of collecting a
thousand naira gate-fee from believers
coming to hear you teach God’s word
every New Year’s Eve. Your church has
opened a new chapter in what we all
know today in Nigeria as church
business.

Over the years, this must have turned
out to be a very profitable innovation. I
have to admit that the economic
implications of this ingenuity are
mouth-watering. If some of the
Christian outreaches on the Lagos-
Ibadan expressway adopt this modus-
operandi, they can make hundreds of
millions of naira in just one night of
devotion to God. This is surely the
smartest innovation so far in the history
of church business in Nigeria
Are we allowed to peddle the Word of
God for profit? No pastor. We are not.
The scriptures forbid charging for
ministry (worship, preaching and
teaching of God’s Word, evangelism,
fellowship of the church, psalms/hymns
or spiritual songs, discipleship) in any
circumstance or situation. It is stated
clearly in black and white.
Matthew 10:8-9, “Heal the sick,
raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast
out demons. You received without
paying; give without pay. Acquire
no gold nor silver nor copper for
your belts.”

2 Corinthians 2:15-17, “For we are
the aroma of Christ to God among
those who are being saved and
among those who are perishing. To
one, a fragrance from death to
death, to the other a fragrance
from life to life. Who is sufficient
for these things? For we are not,
like so many, peddlers of God’s
word, but as men of sincerity, as
commissioned by God, in the sight
of God, we speak in Christ.”
It is true that God’s people through
faithful giving are to supply the
financial support for the ministry. But
issuing a mandate for people to pay to
have access to God’s word is ungodly.
A genuine ministry for the Lord cannot
have an advanced price tag to pay
before the ministry is given. Why?
Because then it is no longer ministry,
but commerce, employ, trade or
entertainment. You are in the ministry
of rendering services to God; and with
Christ as example, you are to give all
that you are for all that He is.
It is even wrong to charge honorariums
and tickets to religious concerts. The
Lord deeply warned us through his Word
that there is no justification for every
charging for the work of the gospel.
Think of what you are doing: charging
people to pay a ticket to come to a
church or civic venue to hear that which
is eternal, is wrong. After all you take
offerings from the same congregation.
Matthew 21:12 “Jesus entered into
the temple of God, and drove out
all of those who sold and bought
in the temple, and overthrew the
money changers’ tables and the
seats of those who sold the doves.
21:13 He said to them, “It is
written, ‘My house shall be called a
house of prayer,’ but you have
made it a den of robbers!”
The greatest proof-text your followers
will misuse out of the Bible to try to
“justify” charging for the ministry of the
Lord is this familiar phrase: “the
workman is worthy of his hire.” Yes, I
fully agree with that phrase for it is
God’s Word; but they are wrongly
applied when trying to condone treating
ministry like a business, trade, or
entertainment.

It doesn’t mean we have the right to
charge for “hire.” More appropriately, it
means those “who proclaim the gospel
should receive their living by the
gospel” (1 Cor. 9:14b) and do so in a
manner commensurate with the gospel.
Aren’t you glad that the Lord didn’t
charge you to hear about the good
news of the gospel unto salvation?
Aren’t you glad that the Holy Spirit
doesn’t charge any of us for the
spiritual gifts He gives to the church?
Money, beloved, should not be a
prerequisite for ministry.

My Christian brothers and sisters, let us
continue to pray for our pastors, gospel
artists, authors, speakers, and
evangelical leaders who are still trapped
by the allure of a market-driven
ministry; parroting worldly techniques
rather than emulating the humility and
servant-hood of Christ. This principle
should even affect Christian retail
bookstore outlets and how they “sell”
their items; but that debate is for
another time. Amen.

Commission in Ado -Ekiti on Thursday.

house at about 11 a . m and fired several
gunshots with sinister intention to kill

of the opposition party in Efon Local
Government Area.
Alake said the Police had a hectic time
arresting the thugs who dared them to
shoot them and in the process injured
eight police officers including the DPO
of Ijero.
“ These people came in at about 11 a .m
and brandished dangerous weapons.
One of them even inflicted a machete
wound on a boy in my house. They
fired gunshots and threatened to burn
down my house because of my
political affiliation . However , the quick
intervention of the Area Commander of
Ijero and the SARS Commander saved
the day.
“ The SARS and the Area Commander’s
rescued me from the scene and took me
to Ijero where I passed the night. I
would have been killed but for quick
intervention of the police,” he stated .
The Commissioner of Police , Taiwo
Lakanu , who confirmed the attack at
the forum said he immediately ordered
his men to rescue Alake when he got
the information.
He commended his men for
displaying high level of professionalism
in handling the incident, which he
described as frightening and barbaric .
He urged political parties to play the
game in accordance with the dictate of
the constitution and electoral laws .
“ Endeavor to tolerate each other in the
conduct of your electioneering
campaigns and shun all kinds of
vulgar / abusive language that can
degenerate into violence .
“ Let us have from you, timely report of
the incidence around you to enable us
nip - in-bud any ugly incidence that can
mar the conduct of the election .
“ Shun all acts of hooliganism in your
campaign activities and the idea of
moving out on campaign with offensive
or destructive weapons because all your
campaign would be covered by the
police and anybody found wanting in
this course would be severely dealt
with ,” Lakanu vowed.

Family / First Twins, Then Quadruplets For Unemployed Couple by Cyb3rhack3r: 11:43am On Jan 03, 2015
When Isaac Oluwasanmi Oluwadare
enrolled for a diploma programme at Niger
State College of Agriculture, Mokwa, a
couple of years ago, he was confident of
securing a good job, but that did not
happen. He then decided to go for a degree
certificate and enrolled into the Federal
University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, where
he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in
Agricultural Economics and Farm
Management. Though he is from a very
poor family and had nobody to cater for his
education, he struggled to get good
education. He believed that with sound
education, he would be able to secure a
good job and raise a small family so that he
would also be able to cater for his siblings.
But all these hopes fell like a pack of cards.
The fate that has befallen him is contrary to
his expectations. He didn’t get a job. Rather,
he got a really big family and the challenge
he is facing now is how to fend for them.
When he got married in 2009, he and his
wife had to wait for three years for their
first child. When it then happened in 2012,
they were twins and it was a big surprise.
As he and his wife, who is also a jobless
NCE holder, were struggling to make ends
meet and cater for the two children, they
got another big surprise with a set of
quadruplets. Four babies at a time!
Mr. Oluwasanmi, 35, and his wife, 30,
narrated their experiences to Saturday Sun
at their sleepy Ikeji-Arakeji residence in Ori
ade Local Government Area of Osun State.
They spoke to CLEMENT ADEYI
When did you get married? Was it before
or after your graduation?
I met my wife in the church I attended in
her hometown where I went, I thinking I
could get a job after I graduated from the
university in 2006. When I couldn’t get a
job, I started doing menial jobs and got
married in 2009; that is, after three years of
graduation.
You had other children before the
quadruplets.
We had twins as our first issues on 6th
January, 2012 before the quadruplets came
on 24th August 2014. The twins are a boy
and a girl. The quadruplets are a boy and
three girls. We now have six children.
So, how have you been coping with such a
large family, since you and your wife have
no jobs long after your graduation?
I engaged in farming from which I earn a
little income, with which I sustain the fam
ily.

How does your wife support then?

My wife is an NCE holder but also jobless.
She is only assisting me in the farm work.
She is the one who markets our farm
produce.
The birth of the quadruplets was very
dramatic; you want to share it?
When the pregnancy was three months old,
my wife went for scanning and the result
indicated that she was carrying triplets. The
scan also showed that she would be de
livered of the babies in October. Few
months later, she went for scanning again
when we started noticing some
complications in her health, but the result
still showed that the babies were in good
condition. On this blessed day, August 23,
my twin sisters were going to Lagos, but
decided to pass the night in my place before
continuing their journey the following day.
I had to vacate the bedroom for them and
slept on the floor in the parlour. They and
my wife went to bed very late; they were
discussing till midnight.
When it was about few minutes to 3:00 am,
one of my sisters came and woke me up and
told me that my wife’s condition was not
stable. So, I quickly joined them in the bed
room to find out what was wrong with her.
When I asked, my wife said she was having
backache. We were all confused because we
didn’t know what to do or where to go since
it was late in the night. As a matter of fact,
immediately we realised that she was
carrying triplets, we decided to register for
antenal care at Mother and Child Hospital,
a government health centre in Akure, Ondo
State, which is about 23 kilometres from
where we are living in Osun State. But it
was difficult for us to go there that night.
While in the dilemma, my wife suggested
that we should call one midwife who she
used to go for prayer at CAC Memorial
Camp at Ikeji-Arakeji where we live. She
wanted to seek her counsel. In fact, it didn’t
occur to us that her time for giving birth
was due based on the result of the scan
ning. I had suggested that we should wait
till morning in order to go to the hospital.
But alas, my wife could not endure the
pains she was going through. When she
then called the midwife, she said could not
come because it was late. The woman
advised us to wait till the following
morning. As we were trying to persuade my
wife to endure till then, one of the babies
just came out suddenly without labour. We
were surprised. I exclaimed: “What is this?
Everybody was just running up and down
until my wife suggested that we should call
one of her uncles popularly known as Jingo
to bring his car and take her to the
midwife’s clinic. Incidentally, my wife even
had an appointment with the doctor at
Mother and Child Hospital, the hospital
where she registered, the next day being
August 25.
When Jingo brought the car, we rushed her
and the baby to the midwife’s clinic. That
was around 3:25 am. It was at the clinic
that she was delivered of all the babies suc
cessfully without any difficulties whatsoev
er. What really surprised us was that, when
the third baby was born and we thought it
was over, she started having another sign
and before we could say Jack Robinson, she
gave birth to another baby contrary to the
scan’s report. In fact, she didn’t experience
labour, except that she complained of back
ache. According to the midwife, the inter
vals between the babies were not more than
five minutes after which each cord was cut
as they all shared the same placenta.

As soon as you knew it was quadruplets,
what ran through your mind, especially
concerning their maintenance? Some men
would think of running away. Did that
cross your mind?

I was very happy. But I was a bit disturbed
because of our poor financial condition. But
I trusted in God for help because He is the
one who gave the blessing and I believe He
will surely help me to take good care of the
children. With this confidence, I never
thought of running away. Though some men
in my shoes have done that in the past, I
can never do that. Even if I run away, I
would come back one day and that would
be very shameful.

What were their weights at birth?

Their weights were: 1.7, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.5 kg,
respectively. Two of them are identical, that
is, the 2nd and 3rd.
You must have given them wonderful
names.
The first child, who is the only boy, is
called Nathaniel Boluwatife Oluwadare; the
second is called Elizabeth Oluwafunmilola
Oluwadare; the third is Helen Oluwagbe
misola Oluwadare, while the fourth is
called Eunice Oluwakemisola Oluwadare.
Boluwatife means as God has purposed,
Oluwafunmilola means God has given me
blessing/wealth, Oluwagbemisola means
God has placed me in a wealthy condition,
while Oluwakemisola means God has en
dowed me with blessing/wealth.
I decided to give the first name, Boluwatife
because none of our plans came through.
For instance, we planned to have the babies
in the government hospital to lessen our ex
penses, but we never knew that God’s plan
is different. God took all the glory. No
wonder the Bible says, “My glory I will not
share with anyone.” In summary, the other
names mean that they are all blessings from
God.

Did you ever pray for such a bounteous
blessing? Did you thank God or blame
Him when the children were born?

I always pray for double portion of every
good thing of life, but never prayed for
twins or quadruplets. In any case, when the
children came, I gave thanks to God for the
wonder He did in my family. When I got
married, there was no child for three years.
We waited patiently and when He was
ready to do what no man can do, He blessed
us with twins. After that, He blessed us
with quadruplets. In fact, the blessing is
unique and it is marvellous in our eyes.
Everybody that heard the news called us to
congratulate and pray for us. They call us
blessed among men

.
Were you able to buy baby things before
the babies came?

We did not prepare at all because we were
taken unawares. She gave birth in August
before October that the scan indicated. So,
it was the midwife that supplied all the
necessary materials, which were later paid
for. I had to also rally round the streets for
money to buy many other things. But I later
refunded the money accordingly.

What was the bill like; was it much?

It was not as expensive as we expected.
Though it wasn’t easy, we were able to pay
by the help of concerned individuals and
friends after some days.

And how have you been coping with their
maintenance? Are they breastfeeding
they are on baby-formula?

Frankly, it has not been easy, but with the
help of God and the public-spirited people
around us who have been helping, we have
been coping. The children depend on both
baby food and breastfeeding.

How’s your house like? Are you
comfortable in it?

We live in a boys’-quarter with a room-
and-parlour; not a standard room. The
room was not convenient for us when we
were four with the twins, let alone now
that we are eight. I wish to get a better
accommodation, but I don’t have the
money

.
What is in your mind right now?

All I’m thinking about now is how to get a
good job so that I can take proper care of
my family.

If you were to be offered employment
now, where would you like to work?

I can work anywhere in the world, in as
much as the job is good and I can take care
of these children that God has given to me.
And if job still does not come, what then?
Currently, I engage in farming and I am
trying to increase my production capacity
through expansion. But to be frank, farming
is not easy, especially if there is no money
to hire labourers to support.

Did it ever occur to you or your wife that
one day you’d come to looking upon
people for help like this?

No, because God’s blessing cannot turn us
to beggars. I only see it as a challenge.
Instead of begging, I struggle more than be
fore to be able to face the challenge.

How would you want people to help?

Though I need help from kind-hearted
individuals, organisations, churches, etc, I
believe that no amount of money they give
us can sustain us because money can only
last for a while. So, I prefer a job, which
can sustain me, and on which I would be
able to plan for my family
.

In what ways has your church
assisted you so far?

Our church is very small. So, they cannot
assist us much financially. But they help us
in prayers.

You attended the University of Agriculture,
Abeokuta. What was your experience?

I faced a lot of challenges because I am
from a poor family. So, I had to struggle for
money to sustain myself, as my parents
could only afford to pay tuition fees. In fact,
I didn’t believe I could go to university after
my diploma from Niger State College of
Agriculture, Mokwa, Niger State. It was by
God’s grace and sheer determination.

What degree did you obtain and in what
course?

I obtained BSc in Agricultural Economics
and Farm Management. It was a five-year
programme. I graduated in 2006.

Where have you applied for job and why
were you not employed?

I have applied for job in both public and
private sectors and I was not able to get em
ployment. What I’ve discovered is that peo
ple get jobs either by means of connection,
politics and money nowadays.

What is your message to Nigerians since
you are so concerned about the future of
the children?

I believe that God has a purpose for
bringing these children, knowing full well
that I don’t have a job to take care of them.
Who knows, if they are leaders of tomor
row. Only God knows. I can only ask for
help from concerned individuals, organisa
tions and government to raise these chil
dren and fulfill God’s purpose for their
lives. Those who are led by God to help us
can reach me through these telephone num
bers: 08038248815 & 08033861146.

Comfort, Oluwadare’s wife, also spoke
How old are you now?
I am 30 years old.
Are you and your husband from the same
place?
Yes, we are both Yoruba.

Where do you hail from?

I am from Ikeji-Arakeji in Osun State.
You’re educated?
Yes, of course. I have NCE in Business
Education.

Are you now working?
I don’t have a job. My husband and I are
still searching for jobs.

How did you feel when you discovered
that you had given birth to four children
at a time?

I felt great as a woman. I felt blessed among
women. Immediately my mind went to God
and I acknowledged Him in my heart as a
very great God.

How do you cope with feeding the
children?

When I prepare their food, I feed them
turn-by-turn, but when any of them is
agitated, I try to feed them simultaneously.
Sometime one or two of them could be
sleeping at the same time and I would be
able to cope in feeding those that are
awake.

Who helps you, especially when they are
crying or need your attention all at the
same time?

My mother and mother-in-law are always
around to help me.

Has there been a time you expressed fear
that your husband might not be able to
fend for the family because of his
unemployment situation?

I have never been worried because I believe
that on his own, he cannot do it, but with
God, he is equal to the task. Moreover, God
who brought the children knows how best
to cater for them. So, instead of being
worried, I encourage him that God will do
wonders in our home.

Its been 10 Years Of Nairaland.. I Wonder If there are any plans by Our Oga's At The Top For The 10th Anniversary.

Introduction

Nairaland is an online community created
by Seun Osewa in March 2005. It is
targeted at Nigerians .
Nairaland currently has over 1,278211,340
registered accounts (December 2014),
and is ranked as the 7th most visited site
in Nigeria (and the most visited indigenous
site) according to Alexa.com.
Nigeria reportedly has over 55 million
Internet users, corresponding to 32.9% of
the entire population. With Nairaland
having a considerable but unconfirmed
number of users based in diaspora, this
statistic suggests that a maximum 3% of
Nigerian Internet users are registered on
Nairaland compared to Facebook's 11
million Nigerian users which corresponds to
approximately 20% of the Internet
population. Nairaland, however, does
have a considerable number of unregistered
users, as registration is only necessary for
posting. Figures published by Nairaland in
June 2013 suggest that they had 6,845,453
unique visitors from 16,668,654 visits. and
60,031,356 pageviews in the 30 days of
that month.
2014 down period
Following a successful hacking attempt,
Nairaland went offline briefly on the 22
June 2014. The hackers were able to
get access to the website's host server and
backup, and maliciously deleted all its
content. Three days later, it was back
online after some data had been recovered

Crime / How Austria- Based Business Woman Was Killed By Lover by Cyb3rhack3r: 6:44am On Jan 03, 2015
A crack team of crime investigators
from the Edo State police command
headquarters in Benin City are battling
to unravel the circumstances that led to
the brutal murder of a 45 year old
Austria-based Nigerian citizen, Rose
Aifuwa, in the hand of her lover around
her residence located at Upper Mission
road in Benin, in the wee hours of 25th
December, 2014.
The suspect allegedly knocked down the
mother of three with his Honda car and
dragged her body for over 500 meters
after the late Rose was said to have
demanded the payment of her money
amounting to N20 million from a
business transaction she had with her
lover.
The late Rose and Festus, according to
family sources, were said to be business
acquaintances initially before love crept
in few months after they met through a
third party in Benin, a relationship the
deceased was said to have enjoyed,
making her entrust the control and
management of her business
transactions in Nigeria to the lover, who
later reciprocated her love by taking her
life.
The deceased prior to her untimely
death was a major importer of fairly
used cars popularly referred to as
‘Tokunbo’ and spare parts which Festus
helped to sell to customers in Benin.
Festus, it was gathered, achieved an
appreciable level of financial
independence owing to the profit he
made from the sales of the imported
goods from late Rose.
It was also gathered that a plot of land
being developed at Aduwawa part of the
town and the Honda car owned by
Festus were bought for him by his
Austria-based lover.
Journey To Death
On the said day the incident occurred,
the deceased was said to have
complained bitterly to close family
members over failed attempts and
pressure to get Festus remit to her all
money made from the sales of cars and
spare parts she had imported in the care
of (Festus) but she was always
confronted with physical attacks and
abuse, a situation which often led to
public quarrels among the lovers.
Trouble was said to have started on
24th December 2014 when late Rose
arrived Nigeria to spend the Christmas
celebration with her 80-year-old mother
and her siblings and she later invited
the suspect to her residence at night
and demanded the payment of her
money. It was gathered that the suspect
spent the night at her No 72 Upper
Mission residence and that when the
suspect was about leaving in the early
hours of the morning, the deceased
insisted that he pay the money owed
her.
The suspect in a bid to escape, ran into
his car, drove and hit the deceased who
had run after him. He allegedly dragged
the body under the vehicle and
eventually dumped the mangled body
near a filling station at Upper Mission
Junction where residents woke to
discover it.
The suspect who is in the custody of the
police was taken to the scene of the
incident by detectives in Benin after it
was discovered that he dragged the
body along the road for over 500
meters. He was said to have confessed
to killing his lover.
The octogenarian mother of the
deceased, Mrs Victoria Aifuwa, wept
uncontrollably when LEADERSHIP
Weekend visited her Aduwawa resident
and met her surrounded by family
members and sympathisers who held
her as she looked blankly at the sky,
dazed by the pain the exit of her
benefactor and daughter had caused
her. Iye (a name for aged women in
Benin) gave an account of the
relationship between her late daughter
and the lover and what transpired less
than 24 hours before her brutal death.
“I was with my daughter at her
residence at Upper Mission on the 24th
of December, 2014 and when it was
7pm I told my daughter that I wanted to
leave for home because I wasn’t feeling
too well, coupled with the cold weather.
She laughed and called me an old
woman, saying I should come back the
next day which was Christmas day.
“Festus, my daughter’s boyfriend, whom
they often call 2 million, was with my
daughter with some of his friends
having drinks when I left them; only for
me to hear a knock on my gate that my
daughter’s dead body is lying at a
junction.
“Later, the people that came were trying
to hide the matter from me, saying it
was a minor injury that she sustained.
Some people said she was shot in the
back, while others said her intestines
came out. The killer of my daughter said
they both slept together and that when
he wanted to leave my daughter held
him, insisting he must pay her the
money he owed over some business
transactions. It was at that point he
knocked her down with his vehicle and
dragged her on the ground, which led to
her death.
“My world has crumbled. I don’t know
what to do. I am in hell without my
daughter; she is all I have. Each time
my daughter brings goods from abroad,
I usually call Festus and after selling he
doesn’t remit money. I never knew the
same man would eventually kill my
daughter and leave me in deep pain,”
she wailed.
Continuing, she added, “my daughter
even rented an apartment for him with
over N250, 000 because they are going
out. My daughter said she wanted to
uplift his social status and went as far
as buying him a car because her friends
usually mocked her over going out with
someone of a lower social status.
“Aside that, she had even started
building a house for him at Aduwawa.
Festus controlled most of her business
dealings in Nigeria. Recently, she
complained to me that the bulk of her
money unremitted is in the custody of
Festus, so I advised her not to give him
any more goods. My daughter trusted
him and that was why she opened her
heart to him by ensuring that he is in
charge of her business dealings,” the
grieving mother stated.
She appealed to the Edo State police
commissioner, Folusho Adebanjo and
the state governor, Comrade Adams
Oshiomhole to intervene in the matter
for justice to done in the killing of her
daughter.
A resident of the area who alleged that
she woke up on Christmas day to find
the corpse of the woman, told
journalists on condition of anonymity
that the deceased was dragged on a
tarred road for about 500 metres, tied to
the back of a car.
“I didn’t open my shop on that day
because it was Christmas day. But when
I came out that morning, I saw people
shouting. So, I quickly rushed to the
spot where I saw a dead woman with
deeps cuts all over her body.
“The woman looked like someone who
was not living in Nigeria. I thought she
was a victim of ritualists but I heard
people saying that she was killed by her
boyfriend who tied her to his bus and
dragged her from her house in Lucky
Way to the junction.
“I really felt bad because she had a hole
in her back and her intestines were out
because of the way she was dragged
and I could not even look at the face of
her brother who came to buy something
this morning because he was very
angry,” she said.
Another resident who also did not want
his name in print described the murder
of the deceased as barbaric and faulted
claims by the suspect that the deceased
fell from a moving bus.
“I think the police should not believe
that because there were cuts on her
body as if she had been butchered. It is
evil for someone to kill another who
came back home to celebrate the
Christmas with her family,” he said.
Spokesman of the Edo State police
command, DSP Joseph Edoigiawerie,
who confirmed the incident in a
telephone interview, said the case has
been reported by a relation of the
deceased and would be transferred to
the State Criminal Investigation
Department.
“A case of murder was reported by one
Elvis Omokhojie, that his sister, named
Rose Aifuwa, was found lying down on
Upper Mission extension junction,
Aduwawa in Benin City, and the cause
of death unknown.
“We have been to the scene of incident
and taken the corpse to the mortuary.
Our investigations led to the arrest of
the lover, because according to the
report, he (the suspect) was last seen
with her,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Austrian government has
contacted the Nigerian police over
Aifuwa’s death, following information
that the deceased flew into Nigeria with
an Austrian passport.

Politics / 100 Motorcyclists Jailed In Sokoto For Traffic offences by Cyb3rhack3r: 3:46pm On Jan 02, 2015
The Sokoto State Government security outfit,
Sokoto Marshals Corps, on Friday said it had
prosecuted more than 100 motorcyclists for
violating traffic rules in Sokoto city and its
environs in the last two months.
The Commandant of the outfit, ACP Sa’idu
Madawaki, disclosed this at a news
conference in Sokoto when he reviewed the
outfit’s activities since it took off in
November 2014.
He said the accused motorcyclists were
prosecuted and convicted to various jail
terms, adding that most of them were
arrested for violating traffic lights, routes
violation and related offences.
He noted that “some of them were also
arrested for assaulting our personnel
operating along the various roundabouts and
inter- sections in the city.”
The commandant promised that officers of
the corps would continue to work diligently to
further sanitise the roads.
Madawaki commended the level of
cooperation between the outfit and other
security agencies in the state.
According to him, the corps has 2,300
personnel deployed to all the 23 local
governments of the state.
He said “the 2,300 personnel are categorised
into traffic, security and environmental
marshals.
“These officers were given rigorous military
training before their deployment in a bid to
further secure the lives and property of
Sokoto residents.”

Properties / The 15 Coolest Homes From around The World by Cyb3rhack3r: 8:43am On Dec 31, 2014

Toilet House, South Korea This home was
constructed by one Sim Jae- duck, founder of
the–you guessed it–World Toilet Association.
As ridiculous as it might sound, the
foundation did a lot of good work promoting
improved sanitation facilities around the
world. The home acted as his private residence
until his death in 2009; it was then
bequeathed to the government and has since
become a toilet museum

Transparent House, Japan Do you feel like you
just have way too much privacy in your life?
Well then maybe you’ve finally found the home
for you! This Tokyo home was apparently
inspired by the idea of living in a tree–though
how exactly the two concepts are connected is
still a little bit hazy to us.

Antilia, India We’re ending with the big one–
this skyscraper in Mumbai, India is actually a
private residence–yes, one residence–
belonging to Mukesh Ambani, a local business
magnate. Perhaps the most expensive private
residence in the world, it reportedly takes a
staff of 600 to run. It all seems a bit
ostentatious to us, but what do we know?

Clock Tower Penthouse, New York This
penthouse apartment is the result of a major
overhaul of an old clock tower in Brooklyn,
New York. It seems that the developers are
still looking for a tenant–I wonder why? The
asking price is only $18 million.

Rotating House, Australia At first glance, this
benign-looking structure seems ordinary
enough–but with enough patience, you might
notice something strange happening. The
Everingham Rotating House, as it’s known,
completes a full rotation in between 30
minutes and two hours, depending on its
speed setting. The home today remains a
private residence.

Tiny House, Washington This 140 (yes, 140) square foot home outside of Seattle, Washington punches way above its weight–it’s got a kitchen, bathroom, upstairs bedroom, and reading nook all packed in to such a tiny space. It’s also environmentally- friendly, sourcing its energy from solar panels. Who would’ve thought you could do so much with so little?

Crocodile House, Ivory Coast At first glance,
this home actually does look like a crocodile–
but trust us, this house is real and people live
here. It was initially built by artist Moussa
Kalo, and after his passing it was taken over
by one of his apprentices who continues its
upkeep.

Boeing 727 House, Costa Rica This two-
bedroom, two-bathroom home located just
outside of Manuel Antonio National Park in
Costa Rica is available to rent–for a price. A
night here costs more than a week would at
most other local options, but you get what
you pay for, right? The inside is incredible as
well, totally refurbished and paneled with local
wood.

Bubble House, France This extravagant home
located just outside of Cannes was specially
designed and built for designer Pierre Cardin,
who is not-so- surprisingly renowned for his
own avant-garde tastes. It has apparently been
the site of some of the region’s most
debauched parties, which also somehow seems
appropriate

Dar al-Hajar, Yemen This monumental looking
structure wasn’t constructed as an icon, but
it’s certainly become one. Built as the summer
home of a powerful Imam, the building is now
a museum. Its location just outside of the
Yemeni capital of Sana makes this home
relatively accessible and it’s become a popular
destination for day trips.

Upside Down House, Poland This home was
built by Polish businessman Daniel Czapiewski
as a statement about the “backwardness” he
perceived in the country under the Soviet
regime. The inside is also decorated in typical
Soviet fashion–but upside down of course.
Nowadays the house is open to visitors, who
are able to enter and walk on the ceiling (the
floor?).

Bio-Climatic Solar House, France This home,
located in eastern France, brings
“environmentally-friendly” to a whole new
level. The house’s angle and glass facade work
so that the home remains warm in the winter
and relatively cool during other parts of the
year, avoiding the energy expenditures
normally associated with homes in this part of
the world.

Shoe House, South Africa Do you remember
the nursery rhyme about the little old lady who
lived in a shoe? Well it looks like you’re not
alone, as local artist Ron Van Zyl decided to
construct this home for his wife in 1990. It’s
now part of a complex that includes an art
museum, campground, bar, and more.

“Crazy House,” Vietnam This bizarre
architectural feat known popularly as the
“crazy house” was built in 1990 as a pet
project by a local architect–but the design,
which incorporates many natural elements
including animals, mushrooms, and a giant
tree trunk, proved to be more expensive than
anticipated. As such, a section of the home
has acted as a guest house for tourists since
the late 90s.

Space House, Tennessee This residence,
popularly known as the “Space House” or the
“Flying Saucer House,” was constructed by
one Curtis King back in 1973. Nowadays the
home is available for short- term rental
options, and the price is apparently quite
reasonable! If you’ve been looking for a
spaceship experience on a budget, well…
here’s an option.
