The Caucasian Mountain Dog, also known as the Caucasian Shepherd Dog, is a large and powerful breed that has been gaining popularity among dog lovers worldwide. Originally bred to protect livestock from predators in the Caucasus region, this majestic dog has become a sought-after companion for many due to its loyal and protective nature. In this article, we will explore the reasons behind the increasing popularity of the Caucasian Mountain Dog and what makes it an ideal choice for pet owners. 1. Appearance and size: The Caucasian Mountain Dog is a massive breed, with males standing between 27 and 30 inches tall and weighing up to 170 pounds, while females are slightly smaller, standing between 25 and 28 inches tall and weighing up to 140 pounds. Their thick fur, which can come in various colors such as white, fawn, and gray, makes them look even more imposing. This breed's size and appearance make them an excellent choice for people who are looking for a dog that can provide both protection and companionship. 2. Protective nature: The Caucasian Mountain Dog's original purpose was to protect flocks from predators, so it's not surprising that they have an innate protective instinct. They are fiercely loyal to their owners and will go to great lengths to protect them and their property. This breed is not suitable for first-time dog owners because they require an experienced handler who can manage their protective instincts 3. Intelligence and trainability: The Caucasian Mountain Dog is an intelligent breed and can be trained to perform various tasks. However, they are an independent breed and can be stubborn at times, so early socialization and training are essential. With proper training, this breed can excel in obedience, agility, and even search and rescue. 4. Good with children: Despite their protective nature, Caucasian Mountain Dogs can be great with children when properly socialized. They have a gentle and affectionate side that makes them a loving family pet. However, due to their size and strength, they should always be supervised around young children. 5. Low maintenance: Caucasian Mountain Dogs have a thick double coat that requires regular brushing to keep it healthy and shiny. However, they are generally low maintenance and do not require a lot of grooming. They are also relatively inactive indoors, making them suitable for apartment living, as long as they have access to a yard for exercise. 6. Health: Like all breeds, the Caucasian Mountain Dog is prone to certain health issues, including hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and obesity. However, with proper care and regular veterinary checkups, they can live a healthy and happy life. Conclusion: The Caucasian Mountain Dog is an impressive breed that has captured the hearts of many dog lovers worldwide. Their imposing size, protective nature, intelligence, and low maintenance make them an ideal choice for those looking for a loyal companion that can provide protection and companionship. However, they are not suitable for first-time dog owners and require an experienced handler who can manage their protective instincts. If you're looking for a dog that is both imposing and affectionate, then the Caucasian Mountain Dog might be the perfect fit for you.

As a dog breeder, your main goal is to produce healthy and happy puppies that will go on to become beloved members of their new families. However, selling puppies can be a daunting task, especially if you are new to the business. In this article, we will discuss some of the most important things you need to know about selling puppies as a dog breeder. 1. Know Your Market The first step in selling puppies is to know your market. Who are the people who are interested in buying your puppies? What breeds are popular in your area? What age range are your potential buyers looking for? By understanding your market, you can tailor your marketing and sales strategies to appeal to them. 2. Be Honest and Transparent Honesty and transparency are key when selling puppies. Potential buyers want to know as much as possible about the puppies they are interested in. This includes their health history, temperament, and any potential issues they may have. Be upfront about any genetic health issues that may be present in the breed, as well as any behavioral quirks the puppies may have. This will help build trust with potential buyers and ensure that they are getting a puppy that is a good fit for their lifestyle. 3. Provide a Healthy Environment One of the most important things you can do as a dog breeder is to provide a healthy environment for your puppies. This includes regular vet checkups, vaccinations, and a clean living space. Potential buyers will want to see that the puppies have been well cared for and are healthy and happy. 4. Offer Support Selling a puppy is just the beginning of your relationship with the new owner. It is important to offer support and guidance throughout the puppy's life. This can include providing information on training, nutrition, and general care. By offering support, you can build a long-term relationship with the new owner and ensure that the puppy is well cared for throughout its life. 5. Price Your Puppies Appropriately Pricing your puppies can be a difficult task. You want to make sure that you are charging a fair price for the work that you have put into raising them, but you also want to make sure that the price is within the budget of potential buyers. Research the prices of other breeders in your area to get an idea of what is reasonable. Remember, the price should reflect the quality of the puppies and the care that you have provided. In conclusion, selling puppies as a dog breeder requires a lot of work and dedication. By understanding your market, being honest and transparent, providing a healthy environment, offering support, and pricing your puppies appropriately, you can ensure that your puppies find loving homes and that you build a positive reputation as a breeder. Remember, the goal is to produce healthy and happy puppies that will go on to become beloved members of their new families. |
First, make sure that the dog is not sick, you can consult a vet for that. Lack of appetite can be as a result of illness. If you are sure that the dog is healthy then 1. Don't worry about it eating only booster. 2. Feed it without booster (even if you know its not going to eat) why? Because you're are already training your dog consciously or unconsciously. I have had this situation several times and I can tell you to trust me and you'll get the result you require. How To GO ABOUT IT 1. Feed it without booster and let it also have water around(most likely it won't eat but that is the point) leave it with the food for 24 hours(most likely the food begins to ferment at this point). 2. Remove the food that is beginning to spoil and leave the dog for some hours then serve a fresh meal without booster (this is to let the dog know that it can choose what it wants to eat. 3. Keep repeating the process and trust me the survival instincts in the dog kicks in (eating to survive and not for luxury) 4. Just make sure the food you serve is rich without booster. 5. Don't be quick to resume giving it booster. 6. When the dog stops selecting what to eat and you are comfortable with the results then you can resume giving it booster but this time make sure it is ground and mixed with the food that it cannot be picked individuallly. I have been there several times but this is how I was able to let my dogs know whoss boss when it comes to feeding. Don't eat ist fine by me I'll serve you the same thing again and again until u get whos boss. Hope this helps |
