Wow! I can't believe this story is gradually taking shake. We are gradually nearing the end. It has been a jolly good ride so far. Now, we have come to the REVELATION. A time when everyone would be asked to open their wardrobe, shelf, drawer or whatever safe they have. A time when SECRETS will be out. @Shebarh, I think this is answer the question you threw some days ago. And to those who want Serena to experience change, did you see anything of sort in the last update? The way she handled Jake, any difference with the old Serena? # @Adeh39, stuff46, the question is for you. Oya, lets meet at the other side. |
__________________________________________ After the short drama that took place at the hospital which warranted Mr Oluwole Thomas walking out on his elder brother, he subsequently had contacted one of his boys in his area of residence who was a cab driver who had came to pick him and had driven him home without anybody noticing. It was after he had reached home successfully that he put a call through to Dave asking him to meet him at home before the end of the hours, and the suprised look on Dave's face had warranted Jane whom he was discussing with at the time asked the reason behind the look and Dave had no other choice than to explain to her. Therefore, one could imagine the suprised look on Mr Oluwole Thomas face when he saw his elder brother, Patrick and his immediate younger sister, Jane and the last child of the family, Collins, no sooner than Dave entered. "Uncle, is it true you want to break the family ties?" Wole asked angrily when he had agreed to grant them audience. "Everyone knows my message in the last five years is to ensure that the family remained united. Even our cousins from the maternal side of the family, our sisters that have become members of another family by marriage. But if you want to break family ties because of Anita and I then, believe me, it is not worth it. You were one of the people who stood against our marriage, isn't it. Now you want us back together, why the change? Jane and Collins here sped up the divorce until it materialised, now they are running around to fix an already dissolved marriage, what do you say to that? Mama Londoner in the last family meeting she attended in 1999 openly said, she would no longer have anything to do with Anita. You remembered how Anita embarrased her at Our father's burial? Now she is blackmailing me emotionally, because she thinks the family must maintain the record of no divorce recorded. Why the change?" Wole asked. "Can you see Wole talking to me like we are mate. Jane, I believe you can see. Collins, you are a witness too. This family is gonna breakdown." Patrick replied. Collins gave his eldest brother a what-are-you-saying look. "Uncle, but Bro Wole didn't say anything bad now. Did he? Obviously not. He only said things how they are. If truly there is nothing sinister about our reselve to ensure that Anita returns, then we should give reasons why Anita should return. And as for me, Anita should only return if Wole deemed it right to take her back. I will be no part to coersion or any act of forcefully making someone take a decision against his will." Collins said. "Even me too. I am with Collins on this." Jane added. "Is this a kind of gang up? Are you all turning your backs at this stage?" Patrick asked looking from one person to the other. "Uncle, you just have to let this issue go. You have nothing to gain if Wole decides to take Anita back, and if he decides not to, you still loose nothing. And about the family tradition or belief that you want to uphold. It is good as an elder to want to let his family grow based on what is on ground, but this is the twenty first century, a time when history are been re-written." Collins explained. Pa Patrick opened his mouth to speak, but no word came out. "Wole here is about to re-write history, so be it. Its his family, and he has the sole right to it, we are mere third and fourth parties." He concluded. The door into the living room opened and Barrister Olu walked in. "Whatever party you belong to is none of my business. I am here to take away my son." He said confidently. Everyone in attendance except Wole could remember the last time Olu talked about his son, even though he had none. They had persuaded him to say a thing or two about it, but he asked them to ask Anita, because she was the only one who could provide answers. "What the hell are you talking about?" Collins asked. "Like you don't know abi?" Olu replied facing Collins. "Know what?" Jane quickly came in defence of her kid brother. "Ask Anita." Olu replied stopping in front of Wole, whom he shook hands with before taking a seat beside him. "When did Olu and Anita began talking on first name basis?" Was the question on Wole's mind as silence enveloped the room like never before. "What son is Olu talking about? Anita sure has a lot of explaining to do." Was the question on Patrick's mind as he stared at his younger ones. --to be continued-- |
__________________________________________ After hearing the knock on the gate, Serena had before walking out of the house concluded the person outside the gate to be Jake. Afterall, only four people could visit her, even though two are unlikely. If it were to be Stephanie, she wouldn't bother knocking on the gate, instead, she would put a call accross to her that she was at the gate and other times, she uses text messages. If it were to be Henry, even though the possibility of Henry visiting her is as high as the possibility of the Nigeria's male football team known as the super eagle moving to within the first ten in the popular FIFA ranking. Henry in his usual domineering way of life would have called right from the time he left home asking her to stand outside the gate waiting for him, because he doesn't want to spend more than five seconds outside the gate. If it were to be Taiwo, she wouldn't bother knocking, rather, she knew how to open the gate from outside, everytime suprising the gateman. Jake was the only friend of hers who would either knock on the gate or press the bell and since whoever was at the gate was knocking, and the knock was characterised by the lightness of it, then she couldn't think of someone else. "Hi." He greeted with a smile. "Hello." She replied with an askance look, devoid of smile. "You look so well. Thank God for that." He said. "How are you feeling now?" "As you rightly said, I look so well. At least, I walked on my own to open the gate for you, that alone is a testimony." She replied. "Thank God for that." Serena was suprised with the way Jake mentioned God incessantly like he was paid to say the word. Some words she had never seen Jake say in his life were, church, bible, God and any other thing that has to do with the almighty God. Even though he called himself a christian, something Stephanie calls, 'christian by mouth' but he himself claimed he was a 'christian by heart' because according to him, only God knows who and who is for him and no amount of church going would make God see you as his own, except if you walked with him blamlessly like he commanded Abraham. In other conversations, he claimed that his father, being a very popular business mogul in the city of Ibadan built his empire in two decades without going to church for once and the same path he wanted to thread. Even though Serena had on several occassions told him about grace and mercy which God can bestow on anybody just to test if they'll glorify him with their wealth and position, citing several stories of kings in the bible, but Jake would have none of that. "Can I come in?" He asked. "What exactly do you want?" She asked. "I came to see and check on you." He replied. "And you have seen me. Now check me out." Serena said without shyness as she turned around for Jake to have a look on her body. Definitely, Serena has a body that could kill and her body was also capable of resurrecting. And edge she has over Stephanie was in look and body structure. While Steph was more of a long legged ostritch like Jake often joked when they were still friends, Serena was a bit shorter and pretty, while Steph had a bad eye. Her left eye has a defect on it, as she claimed, she had injured herself as a kid. Even though the eyes would disfigure a freshly woken up Stephanie, Serena would always tell her, the eyes made her look beautiful. Jake bursted into laughter. "Come on stop joking." He said, but Serena still held onto the gate, her body saddled between the gate and the pillar. "Do I look like I am joking?" Serena asked. "Sincerly, you looked like one. Come on let me in." He tried to force his way into the compound, but Serena stood her ground. "Jake, I want you to leave." Serena said with all courage she could muster, all thanks to Taiwo's voice that kept repeating in her mind. "Why?" He asked with a laugh. "Jake, I am not joking.... Please leave." She said. "Like seriously?" This time, he had entered the compound. "Like this minute." She emphasized. "Serena. You are joking right?" "On the other hand, I am not. Now, get out." She was screaming now. "Serena, calm down for God's sake. You are embarassing me. All your neighbour live in duplexes, they may be watching from upstairs." He said calmly. "Oh! Oh.... I am embarrassing you?" She asked. "Of course yes. Whatever happened to the feelings?" His last word srucked her deep. She violently pushed him out of the compound as she tried to fight back tears. "Now get out." He voice broke, but before he could see the tears in her eyes, she ran into the compound and locked the gate. How she hated making people feel bad, but Jake deserved it. She consoled herself. --to be continued-- |
--continuation-- "Daniel, how dare you slap me?" Adeola asked as tears rolled down her cheeks. If there was one thing Daniel dreaded doing, it was making Adeola cry. Aside the fact that he could loose his financial backbone if his wife decided to jilt him, he still still felt indebted to her. A lady who regardless of her rich status stood with him, through thick and thin throughout their university days, up till when her father sponsored him abroad to further his education and upon return, Adeola refused to get marriedto high profile bachelors, just to be with him. If such a lady want the world at her feet, then he should be able to do it for her. Hence, the reason why he sacrified his own happiness just to make her happy. The reason why he had been at the recieving end, always at fault, always taking the blame and always apologizing. But the story changed the moment he realised that Adeola will never bore him a child because she had done an abortion in the past which damaged her womb. And the pregnancy which was aborted wasn't his, which means, Adeola was cheated on him at a point in their relationship. He had stopped giving her tears listening ears. Now, he could watch her cry for one full hour without saying anything, rather he would always get irritated and in turn leave the room or the house to enable her cry to the emptiness of it. Ever since he set his eyes on Christina, he had felt a reason to love and to hold someone different from the woman of his dreams, the woman he never had feelings for, but still managed to get her pregnant. And in the end, the love of his life couldn't give him a child, but someone he felt nothing for gave him one. MAYBE TINA AND I ARE MEANT TO BE. He had concluded before walking out of the room, leaving a stunned Adeola sprawled to the ground, soaked in tears. "Big bro, I am dissappointed in you. How dare you slap Adeola? How dare you? What were you thinking? Have you forgotten? How she helped our family right from the scratch, is it because of that boy you call your son? Does that make you justified to treat her badly?" His kid sister asked as soon as he entered the living room. Now, he was begining to consider returning to the room and beg Adeola. Truly, he was a prisioner in his own marriage, at every misunderstanding where Adeola was at fault, it would take just one phone call from Adeola to his parents and the next thing was to put the blame on him and he'll apologise without reluctance. "Do you realise how much hate dad has for men who hit their wives? You and I know he won't take it lightly with you and the only way you can avoid that is by apologising to Ade before she makes that call." "Will you just shut up! I am apologising to no one. I owe nobody apologies as I am responsible for every actions and inactions of mine. Deal with it." And with this, he grabbed his car key and walked out of the house, still dressed in his office cloth. --------- After a hot round of s,ex, Jimmy was standing beside the bed and Magaret sitting up. "I have a job for you." Jimmy said. "What's it about?" Magaret asked curiously. "I hate to admit it, but I want Daniel out of the way." He replied. Looking interested. "How?" Magaret asked. "You know about his son already. Do all you can to make him get reunited with his son and baby mama. You have been transferred to the finance department, we need to use our heads." Jimmy began. "The only way Daniel can loose his place in the company is by divorcing the CEO's daughter or missappropriating funds. The former will take a long time before happening, but considering the latter, you still have several executive powers, since you haven't been officially transferred. Therefore, we need to grab some millions in Daniel's name, then you resign like nothing happened. Between now and December is a long time. By then Daniel would have lost his place, then the few dollars he has in his account would be spent fighting the case. Then he'll be down." Jimmy concluded with a triumphant look. "Are you in or not?" He asked, even though he knew she would answer in the positive. "What do you stand to gain in all these?" Her reply not only shocked him, it threw him off balance. "Think of how much we'll make." Jimmy replied. "Are you after downing Dan or making money?" She asked. "Both." Jimmy replied. "Count me out." She dropped the bombshell. "Consider yourself gone if your decision stands." Jimmy threatened. "Its a game then." With this, Magaret stood up and walked into the bathroom. She returned a minute later, all dressed up. "Goodnight love." She kissed him. "I am your secretary now, so deal with it. I have you balls, bad friend." with these, she walked out, leaving a cold Jimmy standing. --to be continued-- Lets play some games abeg! Who is in with me? #TeamJimmy |

NFF in general must be high on mosquito coil if they should give Keshi a new contract. Sack Amokachi, sack Keshi, let the players be without coach. Afterall, its not like we are winning any major tournament soon. So why waste our money on hiring a coach. With Mikel, Enyeama and others, they can bring the Mourinho tactics into the team. Bunch of Super Chickens. |
--continuation-- Tina was driving along the busy road, Mark was seated beside her on the passenger seat while Christopher was seated at the backseat. "You know, it is late already, I can't help you fix your apartment tonight, plus, my boy needs rest." Tina said as stopped to observe a pedestrians crossing light. "You can sleep over." Mark blurted before he could control his mouth. "You said what?" Tina asked. "Never mind." He replied. Tina took her eyes off him like nothing happened, even though she wanted him to repeat himself, even though deep down, she knew her reply would be an outright no. "Do you like Collins at all?" Tina asked once she resumed driving. "No, I don't. But for the sake of being work colleagues, I have to bear with him." Mark replied as he glanced backwards at Christopher who was almost asleep. "Why?" Tina asked. "His randy attitude is what I hate. And the way he relate with female colleagues, especially..." He allowed his voice trail off. "Who?" Tina asked curiously. "Collins of course." "I know you were talking about Collins. But you said something about not liking the way he behaves around female colleagues, especially.... But you didn't mention names." Tina said. "Oh! Did I?" He asked rhetorically. "Especially, this girl from the medical department, Angela." Even a deaf and dumb man would know that Mark wasn't referring to Angela, but his fluency would convince even the biblical Thomas into believing him without doubt. "So, what's you business with Angela?" Tina asked, but before Mark could reply, his phone started ringing. His countenance changed as soon as he saw the caller's name. "Hello Kim." He said. Since, Tina had no idea of who Kim was, she just concluded she must be a friend, an ex, a colleague or even his wife in America. "You are flying in tomorrow?" Mark asked like he was hearing of her intended travel for the first time. Even though he had prayed that she should be denied visa into Nigeria, hence, the reason for the shock, because he had thought his prayers have been answered, but alas, they returned to him. "I told you there is nothing to worry about. I am fine here. You don't have to stress yourself." He said persuasively. Tina could feel the emotion laden with his voice, probably, there was more to this Kim of a person. "How much did you spend at the embassy? I'll pay you in three folds. I promise." He said again. "You know I am hiding nothing from you, but your health condition is more important than anything." He tried another approach which made it clearer that the lady at the other end must be his wife. "Fine, you can come if you want to. Am sure you know where I live?" With this Mark hung up. And threw his phone into his pocket. "Are you okay? Who is that?" Tina asked calmly. "Its none of your business." He muttered. "I know, but.." "No buts." He said with raised voice as he hit his fists on the dashboard of the car. An action which woke Chris up from his sleep. "Drop me please." Mark said. "But I said I am sorry." Tina said. "Oh my God! Tina." He said. "Stop the damn car and let me out." Tina carefully eased the car into a filling station where Mark alighted and without another word, he walked away. "Mum, is he okay?" Chris asked. "What do you mean?" Tina replied. "Nothing. Just that he is acting like our old neighbour. You remember him?" Chris asked as he bursted into laughter, which his mother joined him in later on. Even though, the thought of Mark needing psychiatric help scared her. --to be continued-- |

CHAPTER 10 Daniel drove into his compound to find his wife's car parked inside the garage. He at first was happy because he would have the time talk to his wife, feed her in about Tina and his son and the progresses he had made, but on a second thought, he had a feeling that the night would be a very sour one, considering the fact that the house was unusually silent and it could only mean one thing, his wife was in a bad mood, because if truly, his younger sister is in the house with his wife as planned and the house is as silent as this, then, there is every possibility of them planning or mourning over something. "Welcome oga." The gatemen greeted from his post. "Yes, thank you. How is Audu?" He asked as he locked the car doors. "Oga, as soon as he drove madam into the house, he left, saying he has a better part time job somewhere whose pay is better than this place." The gateman replied. Daniel smiled. It was no new thing in the house that there was unhealthly rivarly between the gateman who also double as the security man and the drive who doubles as the gardener. It was during their first few months together that Daniel tends to takem them serious, but as time went on, he realised that they despised each other and would stop at nothing in making sure either of them was in trouble with their employers. There was a time when Daniel instructed Audu, the driver to go to his technician's workshop to repair his failing air condition and his wife sent the gateman shopping. And the technician's workshop was located beside the shops where the gateman would be buying the things madam sent him, and instead of Audu to drive him, he drove over alone and upon their return, Daniel realised that one of his wipers isn't working properly and in Audu's absence, the gateman, still hurting from the fact that he had to take public transport to market told Daniel how Audu had exchanged the wipers with a man who gave him non functioning ones and paid five hundred naira. Daniel smiled at the thoughts as he walked into the living room which was dimly lit. "Welcome bro." Daniel's sister rushed to collect his brief case. "How are you?" "Am fine." she replied. Despite the darkness in the room, Daniel could still make out his wife's figure lying on the three seater couch. "Hello sweetheart." He said as he bent to kiss her, but a sharp stinging slap hit him hard accross the face. "Don't you touch me, you randy dog." She cried. Daniel looked at his beautiful wife with a shocked expression. His wife was never a violent person, what is it with the slap. He turned to look at his sister, but immediately their eyes met, she shot an apologetic look and rushed out of the living room. "Sweetheart, what's wrong?" He asked calmly. "What's it with the slap?" He asked. "You want to know?" She asked. "Of course. I can't return from work after a very stressful day and instead of my wife welcoming me, she instead slapped me. I won't take that." Daniel ranted. "I know you'll rant. And what if I am justified in the end, what should I do for you?" Adeola, asked standing up. "Justified to slap your husband. Adeola, are you out of your mind? Have you gone nuts?" "You are a fool for asking me those questions." Adeola replied. It was no new thing between the couples that when it comes to misunderstandings, Adeola as always on top of the situation. She could talk to Daniel anyhow, afterall, her father was the richest man in Africa and Daniel is overseeing her father's business because she was an only child and the heiress to the properties. And Daniel being someone who likes being regarded and treated with respect will do anything to ensure that he doesn't loose his place in Adeola's heart. He enjoyed sleepping and waking up in money, and a divorce would mean he sleeping and waking up in papers. "Sweety, it hasn't come to you calling me a fool, what for?" He said. "We will know if you are a fool or not. Go inside the room and tell me what you see." She said and returned to her lying position. "What's in the room?" Daniel asked as he loosened his tie. "Go first." She said turning her back on him. Daniel confidently bounced out of the living room and on entering the room, what he saw made him mutter the only name in his mind. "Magaret." He muttered. "I knew it. It has to be that useless secretary of yours. So, you mean you brought her home to spend the night and you both have the gut to do rubbish on our matrimonial bed. As if that is not enough, you still asked her to drop her pant so I can know that you truly brought her home. Daniel, I won't take this from you." Adeola cried. "Sweetheart, its not what you think." Another hot slap hit him hard accross the face, only that, this time, he couldn't take this in good faith, he slapped her back angrily. "Daniel, you slapped me?" --tbc-- |

__________________________________________ The people regarded as the backbone of the Thomas family were all present inside Mr Oluwole's ward where he was pouring out his heart or better still put as telling them the actions of they(his family members) that he doesn't like. "Uncle Patrick, with all due respect, you can't impose things on me, no way. It is my life, my family is at stake, my happiness is at stake, this decision rests on me an me alone. And even if I need to seek advice, I have grown up children who could chip in a thing or two. This has to do with the Thomas family under the leadership of Oluwole, not the Thomas in generality." Oluwole began. "Wole calm down." Jane said. "Let him talk to me anyhow. He is now richer than all of us abi? He has millions, he travel to Lagos in airplanes while we go to the park or go in our cars. Leave him, let him talk." Pa Patrick said. The room fell silent for a moment. "This is not a matter of who is rich or who has money. I started this family without a fat bank account. I built this financial bouyancy with my family solidly behind me. All thanks to Anita, but regardless of how she helped me during the trying times, I can't sit back and let her kill me. Afterall, she wanted me out of the way. I mean, Uncle, if your wife start to act all up in the house, what would you do? Its a pity you were out of the country while all these was on, I would have loved her to walk you out of the house one day or threaten to call the police or release the dogs like she did to Collins." Wole standing up to his feet. "I took drastic measures because I can't allow any woman, no matter her status or whatever handle the family where I came from anyhow or reduce them to nothingness. I divorced Anita because of her face off with Collins and the phone call threat she put accross to Jane's husband. I sacrificed the unity in my own family because I cherished my extended family. Now the extended family wants me to go back to my vomit. No way!" "Wole, I'll fight you o. Sit down for once and let us settle this issue." Jane said pushing her elder brother back to the bed. "There is nothing to settle. This is my family and it is nobody's business. I alone run it, third parties can go to hell." Wole snapped as he removed the drip bag from where it was hunged, held it in his right arm and made for the door. "What audacity. Can you imagine Wole talking to me like that? Wole, a boy I nutured." Pa Patrick said to his siblings who cared to listen. "Uncle, two wrongs can never make a right. For the sake of peace, let Anita go. If there is no string attached to your obsession with her 'must return,' then I think we should let bro Wole have his way. Afterall, his family belonged to him, he alone can run it. The best you can do as an elder is advice him to do the right thing and if truly you have adviced him and he claimed he doesn't want to do your biddings, then let him have his way." Collins spoke for the first time in one hour. "You mean, I should leave Wole?" Patrick asked. "Yes Uncle." Collins replied. "Okay, I will let him have his way, but as from this minute, consider the bond between Wole and I broken." With this, Patrick stormed out of the door and his other siblings ran after him pleading. "Get out of my way." Patrick said pushing Dave in the process which sent the warmer he had in his hand crashing to the ground and the content of it spilling. "Am sorry Uncle." Dave said prostrating, when he realised the damage the food had done to his Uncle's white shirt. "Look at this b.astard of a boy." Patrick said vernomously moving closer to Dave who stood his ground. If there was a word he hated, it was the word B.ASTARD. No matter how hard he tried, he would always loose his temper at the mention of the word. "Uncle, you shouldn't have called the boy a b.astard. Afterall, he is our son." Jane stepped in once she noticed the defiant look on Dave's face. "I will call him whatever I deem fit." Patrick replied. "And I'll hit you in whatever way I deem fit." He muttered and just before Pa Patrick could react, even if he didn't hear him, he still know he had spoken back at him, Jane dragged Dave away from the scene. "Aunty Jane.... Sorry, Mum, what's going on?" Dave asked as they walked out of the reception. "Your dad and Uncle just finished having a heated argument. I don't know what Uncle stand to gain in this issue of...." Jane allowed her voice trailed off when she thought of the impact that her words might have on the young man beside him. As they leaned against one of the cars in the parking lot. Jane asked; "Do you want your parents back together?" She asked. "No." He said sharply causing Jane to raise her brows. "Not after what I heard was going on between her and Uncle Olu." "You knew about it too?" Jane asked, shocked to the marrow. --tbc-- |

Princesssusan, come here sharp sharp
