I don't know how true this is o, but various reports claim Real Madrid latest signing Martin Odegaard has been forced to delete posting and comments on Lionel Messi on social media. Growing up, Odegaard was a Lionel Messi fan and it seems after joining Madrid he isn't allowed to be a Madrid fan.

Why parents do this to their kids is beyond me. So a die-hard Liverpool fan, who found it hard to pick a name for his child which by the way is a girl from members of the squad decided to name his daughter YNWA which means You'll never walk alone.

If the poor girl had been a boy she would have been named Gerrard but since she is a girl she would have to be YNWA. The little girl's mother, Eirin Isabell Iversen said: "I'm probably not as interested in football, but it was actually my suggestion to call her YNWA. He (husband) suggested Gerrard before we knew if it was a boy or girl" So they named her Karoline YNWA Iversen.

The parents said they gave her an opportunity to change her name but she refused it and her father has promised to take her to Anfield for fifth birthday in May.

Brazil legend Ronaldo, who last played in 2011 said on Wednesday that he will try to get back into shape so that he can come out of retirement to play for North American second division club Fort Lauderdale Strikers. Ronaldo, who became a minority owner in the North American Soccer League's striker said:
"That is not easy because I love to play, I love soccer, that was all my life my big love. When I retired, I stopped playing because of my body, so much pain and injuries,' said the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid forward. To play a soccer game you have to be in very good shape. I will try for myself, it's another challenge, I am sure it will help the league, help the team. I will train a lot, and if the (coach) needs me, maybe, I would lime to play if the Strikers were to reach a final"

Days after receiving his third Ballon d'Or award, Cristiano Ronaldo has been the Portuguese player of the century. He is just 29 and he defeated Luis Figo and Eusebio to be named the Portuguese player of all time.
As noted by Marca, Ronaldo fought off some pretty fierce competition to land the gong, ousting both Luis Figo and Eusebio in the voting at the Gala Quinas de Ouro, an event staged to honour the 100th anniversary of the Portuguese Football Federation. Kudos to CR7!

The Warri Wolves have reportedly rejected West Ham bid for Nigeria Azubuike Egwuekwe. But the Wolves told Standard Sport that the bid which is around £500,000 has been rejected because of a disagreement with the agent handling the issue.
A club spokesman told Standard Sport:
"We rejected a bid from West Ham because we had a disagreement with the agent handling the issue. The club will make an official statement as regards his final destination.
Egwuekwe, who has been likened to Joseph Yobo, has said that he hopes to say goodbye to Warri Wolves by the end of the month.
