No one can eradicate corruption in its entirety because it’s borne out of greed, self centeredness which are the hallmarks of mankind and it’s fallout are: poverty and underdevelopment.

Within the limits of his capacities, President Mohammadu Buhari [PMB] has been fighting this terminal cancerous disease called corruption, but his government’ focus has been majorly on the political class who incidentally are merely students who learnt the acts of corruption from the establishment(the civil service).

Economic Corruption starts from Budget Padding or Loading which is possible with connivance of the group that prepares the budget (civil service), the scrutinizer of the budget (legislatures) and executor of the budget (civil service).

The management of Easy Lander Children School in Lagos has reacted to the death of one of the children in its Creche section saying that media reports of circumstances that led to the child's death is untrue.


Some online publications had reported that the baby whose mother is a National Youth Service Corp member died in the school after she was fed by a Nanny.


Reacting to what it called false online publications, the school in a statement dated November 7, 2017 and made available to The DailyBells, stated that the baby died in the hospital and not within the school premises as widely reported.


Narrating the circumstance that led to the dead of the baby, the school said: " The baby in question was brought to the Crèche section of our school by her mother on 26th October, 2017. She was received by the Nanny and assistant Nanny on duty with her food pack. Following set guidelines, the Nanny fed her at about 9am with the food packed by her mother.

Two men, one of them an Egyptian and the other a Libyan,have been arrested and charged in Italy as investigators look into the deaths of 26 Nigerian women and girls, who are suspected to have been murdered while attempting to cross the Mediterranean.

The bodies of the women were brought to the southern Italian port of Salerno by the Spanish ship Cantabria on Sunday, and prosecutors opened an investigation over suspicions that the women, some as young as 14, may have been abused and killed.

A Federal High Court, Lagos, on Tuesday, granted bail to the Managing Director Tasty Time Nigeria Limited, Mr. Isaac Kole, to bail in the sum of N3 million.

Kole and his company were arraigned before Justice Hadiza Rabiu-Shagari by the National Agency for Food and Drugs Agency Administration Control (NAFDAC), last Thursday, on a four-count charge of producing fake products.

NAFDAC in a charge marked FHC/L/351c/17, had alleged that Kole and his company have been using his firm located at 1, Kole Street, Ipaja, Lagos, have been producing unregistered Tasty Time products which include: Tasty Time juice, Glucosaid Energy drink, Tasty Time Pops orange flavour drink, Tasty Time Fitz Apple drink, and Tasty Time mixed orange flavor drink.

Sagamu, Ogun State is in chaos as men of the Nigerian Police and Yahoo boys are currently engaging in gun battle.

The DailyBells Nigeria correspondent who witnessed the scene gathered that trouble started when some of the yahoo boys took to Ita Oba to collect the corpse of one of their colleagues girlfriend who was allegedly shot dead by the police last night.

According to a witness, the police had allegedly shot the lady dead while trying to arrest one of the yahoo boys.

The e-commerce platform Jumia, on Wednesday released an official statement condemning the attack on its dispatch rider in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Three suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the incident which occurred at 4 Adaede Street by Location, Off Ada George Rd Port Harcourt.

The corpse of the dispatch rider was discovered in a septic tank in the house. The deceased was killed, tied and dumped into the septic tank.

Juliet Anammah, Chief Executive officer of Jumia Nigeria said in the statement:

“It is with saddened hearts that we announce the ongoing police investigation on the disappearance of a delivery associate of one of our partners which has been possibly linked to the recovery of a deceased body by police investigators.

The associate was employed by our third-party logistics partner in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Jumia Nigeria’s regional management is working full time with the partner, the local police and the family of the associate to investigate the case.

While the full facts are yet to be known, the delivery associate was reported to have been last seen on Saturday during his delivery runs. We thus await the results of police investigation on the matter.

A limited liability company, DAI Brothers Investment Limited alleged to have been supplied with contaminated Aquafina Table water bottled by Seven Up Bottling Company Plc, has instituted a suit before a Federal high court, Lagos, seeking an order compelling National Agency For food and Drug Administration and control (NAFDAC) to release forthwith on oath the Certificate of Report of Laboratory analysis on Aquafina Table Water, vide its Notice of Complaint.

The applicant, in an affidavit sworn to by its Managing Director, Ibrahim Yaro and filed before the court by Barrister Jerry Omoregie, the deponent alleged that sometime between November and December 2015, his company purchased Aquafina Table water from Gjonny Enterprises, an accredited distributor/deport of Seven-Up Bottling company Plc bottler of AquafinaTable Water for supplies to the vessel M.T. Marina, one of its major clients.

However, the company stated that it was rudely shocked to be informed by the owners of the Vessel M.T. Marina that the Aquafina Table water supplied was contaminated and some crew members who were foreign nationals of the M. T. Marina, who consumed the said Table water immediately took ill and were evacuated and flown to India for medical treatment.

Yaro alleged further that following a close scrutiny of the Aquafina Table water, it was discovered that the said water contains particles and foreign bodies of black substances.

Thereafter the applicants through its Solicitors, lodged a complaint to the Director of NAFDAC in Apapa. Adding following the complaint, the men and officers of NAFDAC investigation and the Enforcedment Directorate, Apapa, Lagos recovered from the Applicants company 22 packs of 150cl of Aquafina Table Water.

Upon the recovery of the 22 packs of the said Table water from the store of the company, samples were taken of the said water marked and sealed for laboratory analysis by NAFDAC, in the presence of the company and the representative of Seven -Up Bottling Plc.

The management of Heritage Bank has dismissed speculations about the financial condition of the bank, as it urged depositors not to entertain any fear, saying the bank is not distressed.

In a statement issued today and made available to The DailyBells Nigeria, the bank said, “Our attention has been drawn to a malicious and untrue report trending online, titled, “Heritage Bank Should be Shut Down- Company Tells Court, CBN” and about the bank’s financial and liquidity condition that questioned the ability of the bank to honour its obligatory engagements with a customer, Geonel Integrated Services Limited.

According to the bank, the bank has refused to honour its obligatory engagements with the said firm because its accounts have been frozen based on a court injunction obtained by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

The bank said EFCC is currently still investigating Geonel Integrated Services’ account for financial crimes and thus it was formally advised to freeze the account by the federal agency through court injunction pending when the investigation will be concluded

“We want to categorically state that the allegation is not true as the Geonel Integrated Services Limited’s account is currently being investigated for financial crimes by the heritage bank not in distress.



“The investigation is still ongoing and the bank is under obligation to respect a valid order of court.
