Maqpisces: Broilers have different feed requirements in terms of energy, proteins and minerals during different stages of their growth. Young broilers have a high protein requirement for the development of muscles, feathers, etc. Broilers feed should contain between between 22 -24% DCP. To formulate feeds, farmers have to use the Pearson Square method. In this method, the digestible crude protein (DCP) is the basic nutritional requirement for any feed preparation. The following are the DCP values for each of the common ingredients used in feed making: Whole maize — 8.23% Soya — 45% Fishmeal (omena) — 55% Maize bran — 7% Sunflower — 35% , then from my statistics 12kg of fishmeal(omena) * 40kg of maize * 14kg of soya bean meal * 70g of premixed amino acid( 35g of lysine and 35g of threonine) * 4kg of lime. Multipling with the Pearson formulae For fish meal 12×55÷100=6.6% For soya 14×45÷100=6.3 For maize 40×8.23÷100=3.29 For lime 4×0÷100=0 total = 16.19 To get the total crude protein percentage of all these ingredients in a 70kg bag of fee,we should take this crude protein content of the combined ingredients, divide by 70kg and then multiplied by 100, thus 16.19÷70×100= 23.13% This is within the standard stipulated broiler feed composition value. 1 Like 1 Share |

Statistics carried that about 52% of our homes nationally breed livestocks like chicken for either home consumption or for sales and these chickens feeds everyday. The question now is the food they eat...how sure are we that these feeds that we buy in market everyday contain all the essential nutrients that our chickens need for their healthy and proper growth. Different breed of chickens need different feeds which are changed at a particular stage in their life span...eg layers, broilers etc. How do we then tackle the problem of feeds. In some poultry, chickens are feed with pap end waste product mixed with ground palm kernel nuts which are not really healthy for chickens while some poultry practice pasture method where the chickens goes around looking for what to eat. These methods delay the maturation period and produce a less weight birds than those feed with real nutrious and standard feed. Its now advisable to produce our chicken feed ourselves because of the economy of the country and to be 100% sure of the feed's composition. Feed companies can produce imbalance feed that met lack some addictive nutrients required by the birds with a view of maximising profit. Observation stated that we save 30% when we produce a 50kg bag of feed when compared to the same quantity purchased from feed companies. Benjamin a working class graduate...an energetic youngman working very hard shouldering alot of responsibilities from family members and friends. He is a social guy that don't joke with any of his friend's problem. He has a girl friend by name Betty who he intend to spend all his life time with in the circle of marriage. His money always appear on this girl because he keeps every thing she wears, eat and do flashy... He caters for her college education and housing. One fateful day, he got involved in a motor accident which led him into a hospital where he spent roughly six months. During his stay in the hospital, Betty has little or no time to visit him just with a silly excuse that she is having a busy academic schedules and also in fund raising to meet up with her school fees and other needs now. Benjamin was discharged from the hospital on a wheel chair because his spine was badly damaged and he could not walk again. All the effort Benjamin made to see her she brutely dimmed it. After a week Benjamin asked one of his friends to roll him to Betty's house, on reaching there he found out that Betty had relocated to a new apartment though the neighbour they met gave them Betty's new address and with dismay they went straight to Betty's new apartment. Arriving at Betty's new place they located her room number and knocked on her down...Betty's voice sounded from inside and after some seconds she opened her door, with much surprise and unexpected visit she came out of the room and banged the door from outside. Benjamin was highly disappointed and short of words, in the other Betty was nervous as if under tension, but managed to alter a greeting... Benjamin demanded to go inside but Betty claimed that she is going out for her afternoon lectures and that she won't leave the room for him cos she is staying with her aunty, though Benjamin sensed that this is false and decided to let her be by leaving. Benjamin resumed work but on his resumption day he was issued a letter from the office boss by his department head. He took the letter opened it and read...it was a sack letter... On his way back home he branched inside a recreational center to easy his heartful pains on a wheel chair, he was surprise to see Betty having a funplay with a guy. He took up the fate challenge and went home asked Joe to take him back home. He is having a rent arrears of 3months but the landlord considered his conditions and let him pack without paying the incurred rent. He moved down to his village where he joined his mom and siblings... The village life was challenging because he can not do virtually anything hard with his condition. Years passed by with him on the wheel chair...deserted by his only love and friends except Joe. One day, Benjamin was sitting outside their house, a young postman entered and asked for Mr Benjamin kwankwa...he answer and asked if there is any problem, the postman handed him a letter and left. He opened the letter, it was from his former company ...with surprises he read the letter and was overwhelmed with joy...the company invited him back because they now have a new boss. He prepared and called Joe who came down from the city and took him to meet his company... Reaching there the company admitted their wrong attitude on him which was as a result of the former boss who is greed and now under efcc for some charges...they gave a proposal to fly him outside the country for his medical treatment and also will pay him his salaries for the several years he was not with them...they crowned the whole situation by giving him a new appointment letter as the new zonal head of the company. He was full of joy and speechless He traveled out of the country and after three months came back without his wheel chair because he can now compete on a marathon race. He resumed his work as the zonal head and the company aadvertised for a vacant position in the office which he happened to be the interview head... During the oral interview the last person to enter, stepped in behold she was Betty with surprise and sense of humour she collapsed inside the interview hall, Benjamin made the necessary arrangement and took her to the hospital for proper medical attention but did not tell anybody who the young girl was. source: www.dailyspotproduction..com |

Desmond a fresh graduate got his posting Letter from NYSC to serve in Akwa ibom state. He went to NYSC camp where he was deployed to one remote village in Akwa ibom state to serve as a school teacher. This school assigned him the responsibility of a physics teacher which he is doing diligently. This made so many students to love physics and eager to do science subjects. He is loved by all. Lilian a student in his class loved Desmond to a fault that she started developing sexual feels for him. She loves to display her mind whenever Desmond is in her class but Desmond hardily notice her. Desmond was invited for a thanksgiving church service by one of the school teacher which he attended. Lilian was the choir head for that day and she displayed a high level of song co ordination that made Desmond to appraise her after the Church service and they walked together while going home but later separated when Desmond reached his place and pointed towards an adjacent apartment as his place. So Lilian joggled home with happiness that she had a walk with Desmond after giving Desmond a smiling goodbye. After a forth night, Desmond was doing his normal weekend chores, a pretty damsel's imagery reflected outside his room with a door knock, he could not picture the person with the reflection but issued a come in note so the person stepped in...behold, she is Lilian. She met him doing his chores and wanted to help but Desmond declined her from helping but she forcefully started to work knowing fully that she had just disobeyed her teacher. After the whole chores she took up her bag and brought out a food flask containing a well prepared fried rice decorated with enough rumps of meats. He was short of words and don't know either to reject or accept the meal. Looking at Lilian he saw a damsel that is falling in love for the first time in her life so he decided not to hurt her so easily with the meal, he ate together with her and taught her a little of the previous class works and released her to go home so that it won't get dark, so Lilian went home made and filled with happiness. In school the following day almost all the teachers noticed that lilian is very happy but Desmond on his own killed his feelings that Lilian is his sister here and will not have a date with her, he is just here for a time not greater than a year and really do not want lilian to nurse her feelings for him. Lilian's visits now became a weekend routine. On one of her visitation Desmond was with one of his Corper colleague by name Ajegbesoye...Soye for short. that is serving in the same school with him, when she came in. During her stay with them, Soye noticed her body movements, when she left for her home, Soye asked Desmond about her relationship with her but Desmond opened up that he has no existing emotional relationship with her. Soye went home to figure out ways to pin Lilian so as to have her in bed. The following day in school he called Lilian during their break time and threatened that he will tell both the principal and her parents that she is going to a man's house if she didn't come and see him at home when school's activities today. She was frightened knowing what the parents alone will do to her and the shame to face the principal also. So after school She went to see him in his house to avoid the threats from happening. On entering Soye's room. He is wearing a short and full of expectations of her coming. He quickly pointed towards the bed for her to sit because he has no seat. After some secs he paused and came closer to her discussing in low tune appraising her beauty and touching her hair slowly down to her shoulder and then to other parts her body which she resisted but gave up when he still maintained about carrying out his threats. He succeeded in making loving with Lilian. Lilian was in pains and bleeding because she lost her virginity forcefully today. She left Udoma her home town Over ten years ago in search for greener pastures now she is back, sound and full of money. She throws money here nd there, spoiling the villagers with money and numerous gifts. After spending some weeks in the village, is now time for her to go back; she met some of the villagers who agreed to allow their young daughters to travel with her back to Italy. The young girls were 6, Nneoma a girl of sixteen from a very poor and sound christian home was among. The girls left with her to italy in search of a better life like Ngozi. Arriving in Italy... Ngozi's home is very hospitable so they enjoy for some days before Ngozi introduced her business to them which is prostitution without hesitation all accepted but Nneoma declined rather wanted to go back, Ngozi preached to her for some days but not yielding any seed. After somedays Ngozi's potential patron came and Ngozi allowed him to make a choice from the new girls... The man selected Nneoma and Ngozi signal her to go with him or face the bad side of her so Nneoma went home with the man... When the man was set to have Nneoma, she cried and struggled... pleading to the man so the man angrily took her back to Ngozi. Ngozi tried all she could to make the man happy including giving herself for the man's service but the man left with annoyance. Ngozi as a Result of this called some of her loyal Boys who mercilessly raped Nneoma that she lost her virginity and could not walk for some time because of the torture. Later Nneoma was confirmed pregnant that Ngozi forcefully aborted the issue. Nneoma has no other choice than to enter the prostitution business. One fateful day she met a Customer by name Joe who initially did not disclose his identity. Joe I a black and a Nigerian. From a neighbouring village close to Udoma. Joe started developing love for Nneoma that he always come everyday to pick Nneoma home. One day he gave Nneoma a good paid job which he secured for her so Nneoma stopped prostituting and left Ngozi's house for good.
