PoliticsEmpowering The Youth Against Killing The Youth By Julius Diamond by DaJulee(op): 4:43pm On Feb 28, 2015
Empowering The Youth Against Killing The Youth.

By Julius Diamond

Poverty in Nigeria can be traced to many causes, one of which is lack of youth empowerment.

According to the Common Wealth, Youth are those people within the range of 18 and 29 years of age. Although, in Africa it is an emerging trend that people in their 30s and sometimes 40s are also referred as youths.

Nonetheless, youth are the most active segment of any society imbued with relentless energy vigor and drive, and the major catalyst for development. And as future leaders and key determiners of the peace and stability of society. Youth are indeed the greatest assets of any nation (Abdullai 2003).

For this reason the Nigerian Governmet from time immemorial began the struggle to aggrandizing the youth through many programmes and policies, including the National Accelerated Food Production Program (NAFPP), 1972 by Yakubu Gowon, Operation Feed The Nation (OFN) 1976, Green Revolution (GR) April 1980 by Shagari, Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP) 1986, by IBB, Directorate of Food Road and Rural Infrastructure (DFRRI) 1986 by Babangida, Family Support Program (FSP), and Family Economic Advancement Program (FEAP), 1993 by Abacha, National Directorate of Empowerment (NED), National Poverty Eradication Program (NAPEP), 2001 by Obasanjo, Poverty Alleviation Programme (PAP), (NEEDS) 2004. National Youth Development Policy (NYDP) 2001.

While these programmes did not yield positive outcome due to poor implementation and incompatibility of policy goals, and the delibearate formulation of policies and programmes by some individuals with intentions to loopholes and create personal gains. It was expected that any administration should create new ways to emporwering the youths.

But surprisingly, as we can see from the analysis above, there was no youth empowerment programme by the Gen Buhari's administration from1983-1985. Rather, the revers was the case. A sad and despicable event occured. Gen Buhari rather settled to slaughter and manhandle the youths. This was an uncallful war against youth.

It was to this that the youth settled to agree that what was paramount to every youth was survival: It was to first of all survive from the war against youths as declared by Gen Buhari before they can begin to think of fighting for being leaders of tomorrow.

This could be the birth of the unimagined youth restiveness in Nigeria till date.

To arrest this negative trend of youth agitation and restiveness, and for Nigeria to join the league of developed nations by 2020 as projected by the world bank; DR. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN made it a must to pursue youth empowerment programmes aggressively, and skill acquisition at the national, state and local govt levels.

The Goodluck Jonathan's administration recognized empowernment/employment as the only solution. In this, he envisioned empowering the youth instead of killing them by:
1. Enhancing Skills Acquisition Programmes Via ITF and MSTC.
2. Establishment of NEDEP and NIRP.
3. National Youth development Fund
4. extablishment of Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria (YOUWIN).
5. Integrated Youth Empowerment
Programme (IYEEP) launched with the Mara Foundation.
6. FARMAsure-p, etc.

It is acceptable that the forgoing prove that there has been no administration that has given much priority to the YOUTHS than that of GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN.

Having agreed with me; will it not be reasonable to VOTE FOR CONTINUITY?
Or do we vote for a dictator who will rather settle killing our youths?

The ball is in your court. Your PVC is your power to determine your future.

Vote Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN.
Vote for Continuity.

What Should We Change To? Episode 4.

By Julius Diamond

Since time immemorial women had been under the spell of indoctrination to believing and accepting that their only role in life as women is to be in the KITCHEN.

This is the way and manner inwhich some wicked and inhumane rulers as seen in APC have taken women to be, and have resolved that this is how women should be till eternity.

Happily, God in his infinite merciers and grace has brought to us a certain man with a human heart, a Democrat, a man who believes in gender equality. This man has successfully fulfilled his 2011 campaign promise of 35% affirmative action for women by appointing women into reasonable offices, empowering women to self development skills etc.

Today, our women are no more reduced only to the office of the "KITCHEN" but are also rulers and contributors to the progress of the Nation. And he has again promise more for women in his 2015 re-election campaign.

Yet, there seem to be some ungrateful few who are chanting for CHANGE.

My fellow citizens, Our women, Our girls; What Else Would They Want Us To Change Into?
Do they want Nigeria to change back to reducing women only to the KITCHEN?

The ball is in your court. Your PVC is your power to determine.

Vote Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN

Even A Monkey Knows Shame.

By Julius Diamond

On the 11th of Jan, 2015, the All Progressive Congress challenged the public to go to court if anyone thinks Gen Buhari is not qualified to contest the 2015 presidential elections. As fate could have it, three seperate law suit lies today in the Federal High Court, Abuja, seeking for the disqualification of Gen Buhari.

Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/01/2015,
By Chike Okafor (27th Jan 2015)

Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS68/2015.
By Ayakeme Whiskey (29 Jan 2015)

Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/14/2015
by Max Ozoaka (30 Jan 2015)

Sadly, the APC and Gen Buhari who had previously boasted to be eligible for the presidential election has deviced means of avoiding the service of the processes in all three suits, just like the case of Oputa Panel.

The court discovering Gen Buhari's criminal intentions to run away from being prosecuted granted an alternative means of publishing Gen Buhari's summon in all National Dailies, to bring Gen Buhari to court, yet Gen Buhari has refused to honour the court summons.

What more can a well meaning Nigeria expect from Gen Buhari? A man who pride in tyranny, dictatorship, and impunity.

Even a monkey knows shame; and the rule of law. But Gen Buhari Knows no shame and respect for law.

Yet, there are criminal few who ignorantly chant for CHANGE. Can the likes of Gen Buhari bring positive change to Nigeria?

Often times when we travel abroad to developed countries, and seeing the quality and the beautyfully constructed roads; we always do wish we have same in Nigeria

Now we can wish no more as our wishes are becoming reality in Nigeria.

On the 25th of may 2012 Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN, through the SURE. P fund awarded a project to construct a 10 lane highway in Abuja, FCT. Now the highway is completed.

The Picture you see is the completed 10 lane highway project in Abuja.

Nigeria is CHANGING FOR GOOD to becoming a great country like Britain, US, China etc.

What Should We CHANGE To? Episode 2

By Julius Diamond

It was 20th August, 2014. The whole nation was gripped with tension and fear. It was the fear of the sudden arrival of the Ebola Virus Disease in the shores of Nigeria.

The Ebola Virus Disease(EVD) is a killer Virus Disease, which kills faster than the dreaded HIV/AIDS.

But unfortunate to the Virus Disease, it arrived at the wrong time. It was a time when a good/caring man rule.

This man assured Nigerians that the Ebola Virus Disease will not survive more than two months in Nigeria. Far from common vocalization, he showed his commitment by releasing over 1.94 billion naira to kick-start the fight against Ebola Virus Disease.

Successfully, the Ebola Viruse Disease was combated in Nigeria. A proof of this was a statement made by the World Health Organization Country Rep Rui Gama Vaz, on the 20th of Oct, 2014, which declared Nigeria Ebola-free.

In his statement Rui Gama Vaz attributed the success to Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN's administration. He remarked that if not for the immediate intervention fund releases by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to fight Ebola, Ebola would have come to stay in Nigeria. Not forgetting, he also commended the citizens of Nigeria for their cooperation.

In his concluding remark he said; it is worthy of boasting that Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN has prove to the world that indeed he is a man with a human heart, and the long awaited man to move Nigeria to a greater hight, and if given the needed support, he will make Nigeria a better place. He encouraged all well meaning Nigerians to do away with sentiment by encouraging Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN and his transformational stride in Nigeria.
He also said that Nigerians owe much thanks to Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN to have ended Ebola in Nigeria.

Yet, there seems to be some ungrateful few who chant for CHANGE.

My fellow citizens; What Else Would They Want Us To Change Into?
Do they want Nigeria to change back to Ebola infected Nation?

Before the arrival of Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN, cars were imported into Nigeria. But his arrival as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he CHANGED the fate of Nigeria, he deemed it necessary that cars be made in Nigeria.

For this reason, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, on October 3, 2013 announced the introduction of a new auto policy to discourage the importation of used cars and encourage the local
manufacturing of new vehicles.

Today at least 12 automobile manufacturing firms has set up vehicle production plants in Nigeria.

The Director-General, National Automobile Council, Mr. Aminu Jalal, had said the successful implementation of this policy is indeed a proof that Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN meant well for Nigeria

He concluded that all well meaning Nigerians should support the Transformation agenda of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for the continuous development of the Nation.

It should also be known that old assembly plants such as those of Leyland and Leventis Motors are today revived to give a new lease of life to the nation’s auto industry.

All these are the Goodworks and Change Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN has brought upon Nigeria.

Yet, the ignorant few chant for Change.

The Chant of Change: The Illation

By Julius Diamond

The continuous jostling and bustling of political parties in Nigeria against the 2015 elections has wheeled to the discovery of issues that had previously lacked critical consideration.

These issues are the issues of political parties and their non-comforming display in relation to the actual meaning of their slogans.

Each political party is forwarded by a political slogan.
A Slogan is a favourite short sentence, phrase or word used to describe motive of a group.

One slogan that keeps many bewildered, disoriented, confounded, and skeptic is the slogan 'CHANGE', chanted by the APC.

It is becoming irritating, mind-boggling, mistifying, annoying, stupefying, and pricking in the ear when the slogan "Change" is chanted in the streets.
The detastefulness of Change does not actualy arise from the word itself, but those who chant the word without realizing its actual meaning.

The APC have chanted the change slogan incessantly, whereas they lack the positive change in their attitude and agenda.

It is no more a secret that all actions, attitudes and exhibitions of the APC tends to the Negative Change.

Historically expositing, from the moment the APC selected their presidential candidate: It is agreable that while the APC are chanting for Change to youth aggrandisement/development; they have reversly or ignorantly left behind youthful candidates only to project a man older than the country itself.

Also, while the Nigerian nation has progressively moved the mandate of rulership from people with no educational qualification to rulers with good educational background; the APC is lackadaisically chanting change only to resolve to bringing back the nation into the rulership of an illiterate. ThankGod for the impossibility.

It will baffle you to know that the APC have concluded plans to boycott the expected Public debate scheduled to hold on the 8th of Feb 2015, with reasons that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan did same in 2011, therefore it is no bad afterall for Gen Buhari to do same. I am poised to ask: Is this a good step to showing the chanted Change? I thought the APC chant for change to correct all past wrongs? How then have they settled to repeat a wrong committed by another?

Although, I am not in doubt of the actual meaning of the chanted change of the APC, as their change can be the making of things becoming different, i. e, from good to bad. It is obvious that the APC do not actually care about the actual direction of the change. But all they need is change.

For public awareness, Change can mean being alive to death, being sane to insane, wellness to sickness or otherwise.

Perhaps this maybe the type of change the APC have been chanting for. However, it is important we also consider the slogan of the PDP.

The slogan of the PDP as clearly seen is "POWER TO THE PEOPLE", a symbolizm of true Democracy, with no intention of deeming the fame of Nigeria or her positive developmental strides. It is a slogan which explians that the wellbeing of the nation lies on the shoulders of the people. It does not draw a dividing line between the Rule and Ruled. It sees all individuals as equal.

My illation to the chanted hypocritical change as forwarded by APC is to change Nigeria to the NEGATIVE or WORSE.

For this reason, it becomes important to urging every good meaning Nigerian to give no VOTE to the APC, preferably to VOTE for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

VOTE "POWER TO THE PEOPLE"

Vote Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan

PoliticsApc: A Synonym Of Boycott. By Julius Diamond by DaJulee(op): 7:34am On Jan 31, 2015
APC: A SYNONYM OF BOYCOTT

By Julius Diamond

When I was a child, I was taught that a GOOD LEADER does not run away from his/her responsibilities or from public scrutiny.

In Nigeria today, some criminal few have modified the definition of a good leader to mean a person who is good at BOYCOTTING public enquiries. Specifically, this is the definition of the CHANGE PARTY.

This is what Nigerians are expiriencing in this Democratic despensation, as brought upon by some formless, criminal minded, and vengeful group or party referred to as the All Progressive Congress (apc). This All Past Criminals (APC)standing as a political party have devised means to always boycott issues of public importance in Nigeria.

It could be recalled that the APC had previously campaigned to boycott the National Confrence of 2014 with criminal intentions. Happily, with the repudiation of every meaning Nigerians, the APC failed in their evil plot. Also it is still fresh in our memories that the APC were responsible for the boycotting of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTHONOMY as passed by the National Conference. You can stand as a witness that the APC has been campaigning to boycott the feb 14th election under the disguise of PDP. Hopefully, the world is aware of that.
Most recently, as a normal syndrome or perhaps evil intentions, the APC has again boycotted the BON organized DEBATE scheduled to hold the 8th of feb 2014.

Most APC supporters have wrongly defended their claims by pointing to the 2011 debate purported to have been boycotted by Goodluck Ebele J. And also holding that the BON organized DEBATE could be bias, and may also be an avenue for campaign of calumny against the APC. With this childish, thoughtless, traditional, shameful, foolish and unacceptable conclusion, I am poised to ask: IS THIS THE REAL DEFINITION OF 'CHANGE' APC CHANT FOR?

At this juncture, it is important I inform us that the Murtala Muhammed Foundation (MMF), in partnership with CNBC Africa, Forbes Africa and BusinessDay on friday 30th feb 2015, having considered the unfounded excuse given by Gen Buhari, has again for the purpose of bias-free debate has called on the two frontline presidential candidates into another dabate.

Sadly, Gen Buhari has once again declined. Disappointedly, there were no more excuse to be given by the APC. A situation that has catapulted the world into an atmosphere of wondering over the personality of Gen Buhari. And the proven doubt to his ability to withstanding the complexity of the today Democrtic Nigeria.

This revelation has exposed the APC to public ridicules and questions of "THEIR ACTUAL INTENT AND MOTIVE FOR NIGERIA".

While the foregoing makes it clear that the APC is NO agent for positive change: I call on all reasonable Nigerians to see the EVIL intention of the APC and to take a positive step to VOTING for a man with a human heart, a public friend, a generous gentleman, a selfless representative, trusted and humble, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
