It’s true. Their salary was reviewed I think about two years ago. Please don’t quote me on this but starting salary should be about 400k. I know someone that got 2 years ago but wasn’t called even after collecting appointment letter until last month.

God’s blessings. I know someone who did documentation at November ending. And that they even called his father for vetting. He said since then, nothing has been said.

I don’t think so. We met around July or august last year. I can’t fully remember. He was telling me about submitting his cv for DSS and his elder brother who is in government is the one running it for him. He called me on Monday to tell me both him and his younger brother got it and have started documentation. He almost lost hope at point but God decided to surprise him.

That was the last time they contacted people. We are waiting for the next set. We don’t know if it’s still going to happen this month or next.

What I’m hearing is that it could take till end of the month. Some people could be called after Christmas and before new year. So at this point it’s just prayers and Insha Allah we are on.

Not yet. Still hopeful. But I saw someone’s mail. It was sent this afternoon. To start documentation tomorrow. I don’t know

Yes that’s true. A staff told me that yesterday. The issue now is hope by then they will not mess up the list when they resume.

FIRS hopefuls I heard recruitment has been halted till January due to the transition. Pls has anybody heard any contrary info?

They are just telling everyone to be patient. No information, no date, no time, nothing. But they are still sending out mails. I don’t even know the criteria they are using to call people at this point. Just be hopeful and prayerful. A lot of people are waiting to be called.

Me what I am getting from all this is that it’s only a person that is alive that can work. If any work is messing with your health, I would advise anyone to leave. If anything happens to you, the company will always find your replacement the next day. They might not even give your family the condolence they deserve. The timing for his job is ridiculous and we wonder why we have a lot of mental health cases in Nigeria. It is well with the guy that posted that but I will advise he prioritize his health. Health is wealth.

We’re all just expressing views from different angles. Some people focus more on financial stability, while others place peace of mind and health above all. Both perspectives are valid . what matters is finding the balance that fits one’s personal reality.

Same with mine. Don’t worry. Keep hope alive. I was given from now till end of November.

I know a lot of effcc staff and what I can say is that their salary is good. It was reviewed about 2 years ago or so if I’m not mistaken to be over 450k but the issue is their allowances. I know someone that is a DS and passed out since 2014 or 2015 I can’t remember though but it was during magu’s time but that guy is actively looking for another job as we speak. Like actively. He is in Abuja. He always tells me that his colleagues have left to nimasa, ncc and other places because of allowances. Allowances in efcc is very poor. They make their money through back door most times and he’s not willing to get involved in that so he feels getting somewhere else is better for him. My cousin is also in his set but was posted to south south and he is a baller now. Like a big boy. I don’t know how much custom pays but I know for both organizations posting matters a lot in order to make money.

EFCC doesn't earn more than Customs. These guys are under the paramilitary. The salary difference isn't much for all paramilitary (at most 20-25k difference). The real deal are the bonuses. EFCC gets the best bonuses as long as Paramilitary is concerned. Reason why most police officers lobby to get posted there because there are police officers working with EFCC.

As at 2019, EFCC GL8 (Officer cadet) was on 160k basic salary but I am 100% certain it's far more than that now
