OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: MONDAY AUGUST 4TH 2025 THEME: OVERFLOWING HEALTH MEMORISE: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 2 READ: Acts 5:14-15 14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) 15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. MESSAGE God's will is not just for us to be healthy but to overflow with health. You can be so healthy that when sick people touch you, they will become healed. The Lord Jesus was overflowing with health, which is why the woman with the issue of blood simply touched the hem of His garment and was healed (Matthew 9:20-22). Years ago, a teenager who had sickle cell anemia and had been sick all his life stood up to give a testimony in church. He said, "I heard that Daddy G.O. is coming to this church next Sunday. I want to testify that I will be healed next Sunday." Somebody called me to tell me the teenager's testimony, and I started praying that God would allow me to meet him. As God would have it, the young man was standing outside as I got to the church and came out of my car. He didn't look like a teenager at all; he looked so tiny. He came to me and said, "Daddy, I've been sick all my life, but I am confident that since you have come to this church today, I will be healed today." I hugged him and said, "It will be unto you according to your faith." I got his letter some months later, and he wrote, "Dear Daddy, I want to thank God, and I want to thank you. I have been healed since the day you came to our church." Beloved, Jesus didn't just die for you to be healthy; He wants your health to overflow such that any sick person you lay hands on will become healed and healthy. He said in Mark 16:17-18: And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. In 1 Peter 2:24, the Bible says that Jesus paid for your health; this is why you must hate sicknesses and diseases passionately. Just as Peter's shadow healed the sick (Acts 5:15) and handkerchiefs taken from Paul's body drove out diseases from people (Acts 19:12), God wants you to overflow with health and become a channel of healing and health to others. I pray that you will live in constant health all the days of your life and that the healing anointing will flow through you to others, in Jesus' name. PRAYER POINT Father, please fill me with overflowing health so that I will never be sick again, and the sick will be healed through me, in Jesus' name. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Jeremiah 4-5 AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE HYMN 7: I AM THINE O LORD 1 I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, And it told Thy love to me; But I long to rise in the arms of faith, And be closer drawn to Thee. Refrain: Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died; Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side. 2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord, By the pow’r of grace divine; Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, And my will be lost in Thine. 3 O the pure delight of a single hour That before Thy throne I spend, When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God, I commune as friend with friend! 4 There are depths of love that I yet may know Ere Thee face to face I see; There are heights of joy that I yet may reach Ere I rest in peace with Thee. |

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: SUNDAY AUGUST 3RD 2025 THEME: OVERFLOWING WEALTH MEMORISE: Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. Psalm 112:3 READ: Zech 1:14-17 14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy. 15 And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction. 16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem. 17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem. MESSAGE God doesn't just want you to be rich; He wants you to overflow with wealth. In 2 Chronicles 1:6-15, the Bible records that Solomon had so much wealth that he made silver and gold as common as stones in Jerusalem. Even though he only asked God for wisdom to rule Israel, God gave him great riches in addition to the wisdom. Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Psalm 35:27 God truly derives pleasure in the prosperity of His servants. He can decide to make you overflow with wealth, but He will not do it for someone who is selfish. When He gave Solomon overflowing wealth, it was because Solomon did not ask for something for himself; rather, he asked for something for God's people. God will not give you overflowing wealth if you're not committed to His people and His work on the earth. If all you want to do with wealth is to spend it on yourself and your family alone or show off before people, God will not give you access to overflowing wealth. When God knows that He can trust you to use the resources He gives you to advance His kingdom on earth, He will bless you with abundance. He blessed Abraham with overflowing wealth and made him great because He could trust him and because He knew he would be a blessing to the whole world (Genesis 18:17-19). Can God trust you with overflowing wealth? I travelled to Gibraltar at one time, and I was having a nice time looking at tourist attractions like the Rock of Gibraltar and so on. Suddenly, I saw something that affected my happiness – there was a mosque built there with millions of pounds sterling. When I asked, I was told that only a few people use the mosque, and only one person funded the construction of the building! I turned to God and asked, "Lord, what is this?" The answer I got from Him was, "You people are too slow! Particularly you Nigerians. Some of you are even afraid to prosper. When you pray, O God, prosper me,' all you are asking for is one million naira. You don't have a vision to take the whole world for Jesus Christ." Beloved, when your heart is ablaze with a burning passion to advance God's kingdom, He will not hesitate to give you overflowing wealth. REFLECTION Are you passionate about advancing God's kingdom? Can God trust you with overflowing wealth? BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Jeremiah 1-3 AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE HYMN 26: THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS 1 There shall be showers of blessing: This is the promise of love; There shall be seasons refreshing, Sent from the Savior above. Refrain Showers of blessing, Showers of blessing we need; Mercy-drops round us are falling, But for the showers we plead. 2 There shall be showers of blessing Precious reviving again; Over the hills and the valleys, Sound of abundance of rain. 3 There shall be showers of blessing; Send them upon us, O Lord! Grant to us now a refreshing; Come, and now honor Thy Word. 4 There shall be showers of blessing; O that today they might fall, Now as to God we’re confessing, Now as on Jesus we call! 5 There shall be showers of blessing, If we but trust and obey; There shall be seasons refreshing, If we let God have His way. |

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: SATURDAY AUGUST 2ND 2025 THEME: THE FOOLISHNESS OF SIN MEMORISE: Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34 READ: Joshua 7:1-26 1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel. 2 And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Bethaven, on the east of Bethel, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai. 3 And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few. 4 So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai. 5 And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. 6 And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the Lord until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads. 7 And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord God, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan! 8 O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies! 9 For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name? 10 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? 11 Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. 12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you. 13 Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you. 14 In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the Lord taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the Lord shall take shall come by households; and the household which the Lord shall take shall come man by man. 15 And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the Lord, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel. 16 So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken: 17 And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken: 18 And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken. 19 And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me. 20 And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done: 21 When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it. 22 So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it. 23 And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the Lord. 24 And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor. 25 And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the Lord shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. 26 And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the Lord turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day. MESSAGE Before I became a Christian, I thought I was clever, I had become a university lecturer, so I thought knew quite a bit. I was also a sportsman, but I was often down with malaria. I was earning a good salary as a lecturer, and because l was afraid of the traffic in Lagos, I employed a driver. I would pay him his salary at the beginning of the month, but by the middle of the month, I would be borrowing money from him to buy fuel. Things were hard because Isaiah 3:11 says that God has ordained hardship for sinners. I am sure that if you go through the medical records at the University of Lagos Health Centre, you'll see how large my medical file was because I, my wife, and our children were always getting sick. However, since I surrendered my life to God, I and my family have been healthy. By His grace, I have been healthy since 1973 to date. I stopped wasting money when I stopped sinning. Before I became born again, you would find all sorts of alcoholic drinks in my house. Whenever my colleagues came visiting, they would say, "We can't pass in front of the palace without saying hello to the king." They actually came to drink because I was the king of alcohol. After I became born again, they would come, and if they requested alcoholic drinks, I would say, "I’m sorry, I don't have that anymore; I only have soft drinks." They would get offended, and little by little, all my old friends disappeared, and God replaced them with brothers and sisters in Christ. Once you start living a holy life, things will turn around for good in your life. Sin always takes more than people bargain for. When Joshua led the Israelites to conquer Jericho, everything went smoothly because there was no sin in their camp. However, the moment Achan took the accursed thing, Israel started experiencing defeat. The little country of Ai dealt with them so much that they had to run from the battlefield (Joshua 7:1-4). Sin brings disgrace and dishonor to sinners. Beloved, it is foolish to engage in sin. Keep God's word in your heart so that you can overcome the temptations that surround you (Psalm 119:11) and flee from every appearance of sin and evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). I pray that the Almighty God will give you the grace to overcome every temptation, in Jesus' name. With such I hasten to the place where God my Savior shows his face, and gladly take my station there, and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer! 3 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! thy wings shall my petition bear to him whose truth and faithfulness engage the waiting soul to bless. OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: THURSDAY JULY 31ST 2025 THEME: THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY MEMORISE: For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11 READ: Psalms 91:1-16 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. MESSAGE There is something very interesting about shadows; there can be no shadows except there is light. If everywhere is totally dark, there will be no shadows. Malachi 4:2 calls Jesus the Sun of righteousness. If you read John 5:2-9, you will see the story of a man who had been sick for 38 years and had been forsaken by everybody. All of a sudden, while he lay helplessly on the ground, a shadow was cast over him. When he lifted up his eyes, he saw the Sun of righteousness. Not long after, he was on his feet and was found in the temple (John 5:14). The madman of Gadara became free from demonic oppression when he encountered the Sun of righteousness (Mark 5:1-15). The woman with the issue of blood didn't have any hope of healing and restoration until she came under the shadow of the Almighty. Her twelve years of pain, disappointment, and sorrow ended the moment she encountered the Sun of righteousness (Mark 5:25-34). In today's memory verse, David described God as a sun and a shield. As the Sun, He drives away every darkness from your life and gives you victory and wholeness, and as the Shield, He protects you from all evil and preserves your soul. David experienced God as his sun and shield when he was running from Saul. No wonder he said in Psalm 37:40 that God will help and deliver His people from the wicked because they trust in Him. Only those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High can abide under the shadow of the Almighty and boast of this kind of deliverance (Psalm 91:1). The secret place of the Most High is a place for intimate conversations with Him; it is a place where you can build intimacy with Him. Also, in His secret place, He reveals mysteries to overcome the enemy. Elisha knew the secret conversations of the king of Syria because he had an intimate relationship with God (2 Kings 6:8-12). If you want to abide under Christ's shadow, then you have to dwell in His secret place. Beloved, are you dwelling in the secret place of the Most High? Only those who live a holy life and prioritize spending quality time with God can dwell there. Sinners cannot dwell in the secret place; therefore, if you're not yet born again or you're still toying with sin, repent now and come under the shadow of the Almighty. PRAYER POINT Father, please help me to dwell in Your secret place so that l can abide under Your shadow. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 57-59 AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE HYMN 19: ROCK OF AGES CLEFT FOR ME 1 Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee; Let the water and the blood, From Thy riven side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure, Save me from its guilt and power. 2 Not the labor of my hands Can fulfill Thy law’s demands; Could my zeal no respite know, Could my tears forever flow, All could never sin erase, Thou must save, and save by grace. 3 Nothing in my hands I bring, Simply to Thy cross I cling; Naked, come to Thee for dress, Helpless, look to Thee for grace: Foul, I to the fountain fly, Wash me, Savior, or I die 4 While I draw this fleeting breath, When mine eyes shall close in death, When I soar to worlds unknown, See Thee on Thy judgment throne, Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee. |

Thank You for daily loading me with benefits, in Jesus' name. Lord, I repent of any worry, anxiety, or fear concerning my needs. I receive divine strength and ability to overcome every challenge and fulfill every purpose You have for me, in Jesus' name. Lord, I thank You for Your creative ways of supply. I pray for divine provisions to reach me, even in unexpected ways, just as You diverted blessings to Pastor Adeboye in 1956. Let every blessing meant for me locate me, in Jesus' name. Father, I pray that my life will always abound to every good work because Your grace abounds toward me, granting me all sufficiency in all things (2 Corinthians 9:8 ). Help me to be a channel of Your blessings to others, in Jesus' name. I pray for anyone who is struggling with lack or insufficiency. Lord, reveal Yourself as their Jehovah El-Shaddai, meet them at the point of their need, and show them how to stay connected to You, in Jesus' name. Lord, I declare that I will continually trust and obey You, the All-Sufficient One, knowing that I will always have all I need and more. Deepen my faith in Your inexhaustible nature, in Jesus' name. Father, I pray for Pastor E. A. Adeboye, that You continue to empower him with revelation and anointing to guide Your people into understanding and experiencing Your all-sufficiency. Strengthen him to be an even greater vessel for transformation, in Jesus' name. My personal prayer point: (Add your specific prayer regarding a particular need or area where you desire to experience God's all-sufficiency, e.g., "Father, I pray for divine wisdom and provision for my business, that I may experience Your all-sufficiency in every aspect, in Jesus' name," or "Lord, I ask for healing and complete restoration in my body, knowing You are the All-Sufficient Healer, in Jesus' name." ) Thank You, Father, for being my All-Sufficient God. I declare that You are more than enough for me, and my cup runs over, in Jesus' name. Amen. |
Lord Jesus, I come to You with a deeply repentant heart, please, forgive me and wash all my sins away with your precious blood shed at Calvary. I surrender my life to you, today, and, I accept You, as my personal Lord and Saviour. Please, come into my life and save my soul from eternal damnation. |
OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: WEDNESDAY JULY 30TH 2025 THEME: THE ALL-SUFFICIENT GOD MEMORISE: And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:8 READ: Psalms 23:1-6 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. MESSAGE The first record of God introducing Himself in person to man by His name was in Genesis 17:1, and He said, "1 am Jehovah El-Shaddai" This is often interpreted as The God who is more than enough. However, some Bible scholars have said there is a deeper meaning to the name as it also describes God as an inexhaustible source for our nurturing. This implies that God is saying, you can draw everything you need for growth and a fulfilling life from Me." My God is the All-sufficient One. David said in Psalm 23:1, The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not want." Philippians 4:19 says that God will supply ALL your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. The Bible says further in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. These and many more Scriptures give me the assurance that if I am linked with the All-sufficient One, it is impossible for me to lack. God daily loads us with benefits (Psalm 68:19) – He gives us benefits every single day! When He wants to supply your needs for a day, He can use various methods. In 1956, I was living with an uncle in Ilesha, a town in Western Nigeria. He was a drummer whose only source of income was whenever people invited him to play the drum. When he doesn't receive any invitations, no money comes in, and we will starve. On a particular day, both of us were hungry, and we hoped that somebody would come and invite him to drum. After a while, a girl came to us with a big bowl on her head, dropped it, and said, "My sister said I should give you this food." My uncle said, "l don't know your sister." The girl replied, "Wel, my sister knows you," and she turned around and left. Immediately after she left, we opened the bowl and found pounded yam and chicken stew in it. We had been starving, so we descended on the food without delay. As we were breaking the chicken bones, the girl came back and said, "I'm sorry, I came to the wrong house," but it was too late. When God wants to supply your needs, He can divert blessings that do not seem to be yours to you. Beloved, never worry about your needs. Trust and obey the All-Sufficient One, and you will always have all you need and more. KEY POINT God is inexhaustible; stay connected to Him. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: ISAIAH 53-56 AUTHOR: PASTYOR E. A ADEBOYE HYMN 16: TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS 1 'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus Just to take Him at His Word Just to rest upon His promise Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord" 2 Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him How I've proved Him o'er and o'er Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus Oh, for grace to trust Him more 3 I'm so glad I learned to trust Him Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend And I know that He is with me Will be with me to the end 4 Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him How I've proved Him o'er and o'er Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus Oh, for grace to trust Him more 5 Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him How I've proved Him o'er and o'er Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus Oh, for grace to trust Him more Oh, for grace to trust Him more |
