We need more political parties in Nigeria.

India has more than 1,000 registered political parties.

The few parties we have in Nigeria can be bought by people like Tinubu and Wike to stop anyone they believe is their political enemy.

We must liberalize the political space by allowing more parties and even independent candidature.

INEC always complain that ballot papers would be lenghty if all political party logos are printed on it, and it would raising the cost of operation.

Well the solution is here already- Electonic voting. E-voting will eliminate the need for printing papers, hiring military to escort ballot box, dealing with thugs and electoral bandits, and drive down the cost of operation significantly.

If INEC is sincere and politicians are confident in their electoral value and popularity, they should be championing the proposal for electronic voting.
