5 Ways you're loosing your customers to your competitors

Have you ever wondered why you’re losing customers and profit to your competitors?

Worry no more cause today, I'd be sharing some useful tips on ways you can maintain your customers’ relationship, also get to increase your customer base and curb out some old business habit that is hindering your business growth.

The truth is without customers, no business would exist. Customers are responsible for paying the bills and making sure you remain in business. But what happens when you begin to lose your customers?

Many male and female entrepreneurs have wondered why their customers don’t return and what can be done to turn the tables around. In this post, you’ll learn five common reasons why you’re losing customers (and profit) and what you can do about this.

Let’s dive right in and see five common reasons why you could be losing customers and profits to your competitors.

Poor Customer Service

This is by far the biggest reason why you’re losing customers and profit to your competitors. Let’s consider the following statistics:

• 89% of customers will switch to a competitor immediately after a bad customer service experience.
• A customer who is dissatisfied will tell 9 – 15 people about their bad experience.
• 13% of people tell 20 people about their bad experience.
• It takes 12 good experiences to make up for one bad experience.

You’ll agree that the figures above can be quite scary. Rather than allow this scare you, this should motivate you to invest in your customer service unit to ensure that they’re not chasing your customers away; seeing that it is seven times more expensive to acquire a new customer than to retain existing ones. And existing customers spend 33% more than new customers.

So work on your customer service to ensure you’re not sending them to your competitors.

You're not listening to your customers

One of the reasons why you’re losing customers could also be because of unmet expectations which are likely to occur when you’re not listening to your customers.
It has been found that 96% of customers will not complain about a bad experience and 91% of the customers who do not complain will not return.

When a customer complains about a feature of your product, your service or any aspect of your business, take it as an act of kindness because about 10 people felt the same way but just didn’t tell you.
This is not a negative criticism but feedback to help you improve your business offering and be better positioned to thrive.
Here’s how Bill Gates puts it; “Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning.”

You fail to deliver on your promise

A significant number of customers will not return when you failed to deliver on your promise to them. Be wary of salespeople who lie and make unrealistic claims in a bid to convert a new prospect into a customer.
They’re doing more harm to your business than good. Not only will you lose the chance to do business with them again but they'll also get to tell other people about their bad experience which further harms your brand.
Customers will do business with you if they trust you and honesty is an essential ingredient in building trust. Build trust with your customers by delivering on your promise.

You’re changing too many people they know

It can be really tempting to assume that what keeps loyal customers is love for your brand, this is not necessarily true. They most likely love your people.
As a small business owner, you need to understand that customers don’t buy from companies; they buy from people. Be careful not to change the people who are in direct contact with your customers at the slightest mistake.

Your problem resolution process is too tedious

When it comes to making employees meet up to operational standards, policies and guidelines are great. But a customer with a problem doesn’t care about your policies – he/she just wants their problem fixed.
If your conflict resolution process is too tedious, you’ll lose customers to your competitors. People want to know they can call if they run into a problem and be attended to – the faster the better.

So there you have it, 5 reasons why you could be losing customers to your competitors and what you can do to turn the tides in your favour.

Science/Technology / Facebook Plans To Merge Messenger With Whatsapp And Instagram by daluckyguy(m): 10:11pm On Jan 27, 2019
Zuckerberg Plans To Merge Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp and Instagram

The social media giant, Facebook, plans to integrate its messaging services on Messenger, Whatsapp and Instagram. The trio is owned by Facebook's Cheif Executive, Mark Zuckerberg, and plans are underway to enable users of Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram to send messages to other users without needing to switch between apps.

The unification of these three apps will allow over 2.6 billion people to communicate across the platforms for the first time –suggesting the birth of the largest messaging platform. The development seems to be convincingly plausible as users who might be more inclined with one of the platforms, say Whatsapp, will seamlessly access the other platforms without the stress of switching between apps.

Its achievement will leave a lot of privacy questions brewing, anyway, considering Zuckerberg’s ensuing charges alleging the misuse of users’ data; encroaching on privacy, and the fact that Whatsapp only requires a phone number during sign up while Facebook and Instagram require users to provide their true identities.

What’s In for Zuckerberg?

After acquiring Instagram for $1 billion in 2012 and Whatsapp for $19 billion in 2014, the integration plan pinpoints how Zuckerberg is wielding more control over the platforms. This is coming despite Zuckerberg’s promises to allow operational autonomy of the acquired apps.

The integration of Facebook Messenger with Whatsapp and Instagram will generate income from advertising as users will be more engrossed, spending more time communicating in its messaging platform rather than switching between apps.

It is expected that by the end of 2019 or early 2020, the integration between the apps will be set to roll in; introducing Facebook’s family of apps. The project is at the very start of this long process and to achieve the end-to-end encryption and other layouts, it’ll sure take a long time. Maybe longer than the anticipated time.
Interesting is the fact that even after the unification, the three will remain standalone apps.

Infinix XOS 4 Honey Bee: A self thinking OS with 12 new features

Smartphone manufacturers, Infinix Mobility, have introduced XOS 4 which is an upgrade to XOS 3 Hummingbird. XOS 4, nicknamed Honey Bee, is set to roll out with 12 exciting features. Read on to find out.

For those not familiar with Infinix smartphones, XOS is a personalized skin or User Interface(UI) that comes with all Infinix smartphones. Manufacturers try to stand out so they incorporate different features in their UI to give users worth for their money. That being said, XOS 4 Honey Bee succeeds XOS 3 Hummingbird which was featured in Zero 5, Zero 5 Pro, Smart 2, Smart 2 Pro, Smart 2 HD and few others.
XOS 4 is set to roll out with 12 unique features and most likely be first spotted on the very much anticipated Zero 6. Below is a list of the features:

• Brand new icon designs
• Expanded View
• Smart Text Classifier
• System Gesture Navigation
• App Hiding
• My Smart XBoard
• Smart Screen Split
• Multiple Accounts Support
• Ignite AI Face Beauty
• Fingerprint Call Recording
• Fingerprint Quick App Launch
• Scan To Recharge

Brand New Icon Designs

Devices that'll come with the XOS 4 Honey Bee will spot a new set of sleek app icons which is aimed to give a younger, gorgeous and attractive visual presentation. This is to make every detail more attractive and enhance user experience.

Expanded View

The XOS 4 was built to fit around the notch allowing the screen to present more content and offer a larger operating area.
An interesting fact with the XOS 4 Honey Bee is that users can switch between normal display and another featuring the notch.

Smart Text Classifier

With the aid of text recognition, this feature generates links from texts and give users more options to click on and move on to the next step pretty quick.

System Gesture Navigation

In bid to make smartphones now totally with less or no bezel, manufacturers introduced the notch (an all-screen approach). With system gesture navigation, traditional navigation keys are replaced with simple gestures to give a wider view and provide users with more screen space for content presentation.

App Hiding

This feature on the XOS 4 Honey Bee enables users to efficiently manage their privacy and keep prying eyes away from personal, 'sensitive' information.

My Smart XBoard

With this feature in XOS 4, notification updates are made dynamic to match user's high frequency application service in a timely manner. This allows for a more convenient and fast use.

Smart Screen Split

This is one of the mind blowing features of XOS 4 Honey Bee. Imagine this: "While watching a video or trying to really beat your high score in a game, a message comes in. Would it be convenient to stop the video or game just to view the message? It could even be an annoying message from the service providers lol." The Smart Screen Split feature enables you take messages in a split screen while being entertained on the other half. Fascinating!

With just one phone and without the need of a third party application, you can enjoy the use of multiple accounts (be it WhatsApp or Messenger) with XOS 4 Honey Bee.

Ignite AI Face Beauty

Honey Bee flaunts an advanced AI beautification algorithm to give your pictures the clarity and beauty you desire of them.

Fingerprint Call Recording

With just your fingerprint, you can record phone conversations courtesy of the sleek XOS 4 Honey Bee

Fingerprint Quick App Launch

Your favourite apps can be accessed very quickly with dedicated to different fingerprints to keep you just 0.3 seconds seat from your app (winks). You no longer need to unlock the phone, navigate through your apps juts to find them. Use the fingerprints!

Scan To Recharge

Infinix aims to provide the fastest recharge tool to erase the traditional dialling of USSD codes by introducing a feature which scans your vouchers and recharges your line automatically. This feature is only available in some countries though.

Wrapping Up

XOS 4 Honey Bee looks exciting with all these features, I'm sure you agree. Click to download XOS 4 Honey Bee to your Infinix smartphones.

Following different mythologies and legends, humans evolved and developed from dust, lower animals or combining matter exploding perfectly into living forms. There are tolls which we pay heavily for -even though we acquired them without asking- and culture is one if such tolls. When we are born, our tongues are coated in in sweet languages native to our parents or foreign to their fathers but adopted by them. We are coated in unique sayings and traditions like one which prompts a man to spill palm wine on earth before sipping his own.

Culture is a tag printed upon our foreheads, giving us identity -sometimes with relics of scars bearing grudges ready to rupture. In all the world, we are unique because we are people of different cultures, coexisting. Even those who claim to be modern folks have found a new pattern of living, associating with and accepting others their type; a new culture.

Diversity in culture is a delicious meal no one will serve you. How so? Over the years, the picture of cultural diversity we are made to envision reveals: no hope in the unity of people, sporadic tribal clashes, age long strife and sentiments.
We'l never be told of an era when Our Fathers, irrespective of their tongues and whatever marks they bore on their faces, came, sat, to eat and drink from the same bowl of reasoning. An era when in oneness of purpose, they dropped their cultural regalia to strive for the green-white-green fabric to be seen on their skins, in raised flags and in all they do. Do I hear you murmur "Oh that era is gone!"? Well, rebirth exists for reasons such as this.

Diversity is a dish of Miyan Tashe which Obi dips his rolled balls of Akpu (foo-foo) in, a dish of Gbegiri that Musa eats his Tuwo swallows with. Diversity is a masquerade of colours held in awe for we know it can amuse with its energetic display and lash with its cane. We bear the consequences of whichever action we cause it to take for we are humans meant to guide the paths spirits like masquerade tread on our lands -though they be owners of the soil as well.

Like Dike Chukwumerije would say, "No culture is older than being human". Be human! Embrace diversity!

nice one
isn't there need for a lawyer?
and what's the total cost

You need legal backings for your organization and the cost is dependent on the prize tag of the law firm. SMEs don't need much of legal works though.

Are you thinking of starting up a business, small scale or otherwise, and you want to give your business that professional feel by having it officially registered but don't know how to go about it? Fret not! This post will explain the requirements and procedures for getting your business registered including necessary CAC documents upload.

First and foremost, some history and facts. The Corporate Affairs Commission commonly called CAC, was established in 1990 by the Companies and Allied Matters Act. The commission was set up to establish and maintain companies registry. To register, regulate, supervise the incorporation, management and winding up of companies.

That been said, it's no new development that registering your business with the CAC in Nigeria is as important as establishing your business plan. The question remains; how does one go about it?

These are the requirements for registering a business, whether private or public.

• Valid company name (more on this shortly)
• Memorandum and Article of Association
• Cash for paying filing and Stamp duty fees

Now the steps to follow:

How to register your business with corporate affairs commission
Step 1 - Creation of account

To get started, log on to cac.gov.ng, click on sign up and fill the fields in the form that'll be shown. Log in to your account, accept the terms of use and change your password after this to continue.

Step 2 - Availability of Company name

There are lots of already registered company and business names so you have to confirm that the name is available on corporate affairs commission, that is, the name hasn't been registered before by the commission. You can check for availability here.
After logging in, select "NAME SEARCH", fill the form (CAC 1.1) with all the required fields marked with asterisks, select your pick up state (where you want to collect the certificate) and submit. Make payment at the bottom of the page if the company name is available and proceed to download the availability approval which contains the serial number required for registration. To do this, click on the "ACTION" button on your already reserved name and click on "DOWNLOAD OF NAME APPROVAL"

You can also reserve a name on the commission. This will enable you register the name at your convenience and remove the name from the list of available business/company names listed by the commission.

Step 3 - Registration of company or business name

While logged in, click on "REGISTRATION" and select the class; Business name or Company name or Incorporated trustee. Enter the availability serial code and other details required of you and then click "CONTINUE" to make payments. Stamp the document electronically by selecting "GET STAMP" then pay for the electronic stamp duties which will automatically be generated for the Form CAC 1.1 and Memorandum and Article of Association.
Download the stamped documents and proceed to print them. You'll need to upload them on the website and also submit copies of the document in a CAC office which are in all 36 states of the federation to pick up your certificate when ready.

Step 4 - Uploading the documents

Log on to www.cac.gov.ng and select "DOCUMENT UPLOAD". You'll be required to enter your availability code, then to select the originating office or pick up office (this is where you'll pick your certificate, so it's advisable to choose one nearest you).
Attach the documents one after the other and submit when everything is successfully uploaded.

Concluding

The commission will treat your submitted documents. You can always check the status on your profile to know when your application is approved. Once it's approved, go to the originating office you chose with the original copies of those documents. The documents will be submitted in exchange for the Certificate and Certified True Copies of the documents.
You also get an automatic Tax Identification Number (TIN) issued by the Federal Inland Revenue Service, sent to your email.

We've explained the requirements for getting a business/ company name registered with corporate affairs commission in Nigeria. Now you have the knowledge! Share!
