Nairaland General10 Types Of People You Meet In A Newspaper Vendor by Damianobi(op): 3:55pm On Nov 05, 2015
1) The rich: They will just drive to the place, order for the one they want, pay and leave immediately.

2) The political fanatics: These ones will come very early and start arguing about Buhari's government and politics in nigeria at large. Some of them can call the names of all the ministerial nominees offhand without stammering.

3) Football fans: They also come very early especially on saturdays and sundays when leagues matches will be played, this set of people can argue till noon, most times they argue over the best clubs in Europe and sometimes "ronaldo vs messi" is the topic.

4) Borrowers: I call them borrowers cause they never buy their own paper, all the do is collect from different people and read. Some will be like "Oga make I jst see dat paper front page" and will not return it until you ask of it.

5) Group readers: This set of people are those that are too shy to beg from someone, what they do is gather at the back of someone who is seated and is reading and they all read together.

6) Old professors: This set of people will come with their big spectacles and gray hair only to speak big big grammars that even the people who wrote the articles on the paper can't comprehend. They are always very few bt very funny.

7) Messengers: These ones will b like "Oga John wey dey sell electronics for plaza talk say make I collect sun newspaper" most time they don't pay for the paper then, they just leave with the paper expecting the seller to come for the money later in the day from the Oga.

cool Silent Readers: They don't talk, they just buy the newspaper of their choice, sit at one corner and finish it. They will never share the paper with somebody else.

9) The front page readers: They come only to read from the front pages of every newspaper available there without buying anyone. They act as if they are in a haste, read d headlines and leave. They believe so much in "osho free"

Your list should be for undergrads or young people. The first three I agree are discussed by most men , money , ladies and politics but the rest are for boys.

Nairaland General10 Topics Guys/men Would Always Discuss When Together by Damianobi(op): 8:58am On Aug 05, 2015
1) Money: It is only foolish guys that would always gather and not talk about money for once. Its a normal things among all young men outside, everybody wants to make money and be happy.

2) Ladies: You hardly find guys come together and not talk about the new girl they met in school or at work and how they collect numbers and the ones coming to visit them.

3) Politics: This is common among every man, some would end up in a terrible argument as some will criticise d government and the other party would support the government.

4) Sports (football): Football argument is also another prominent topic among guys. You hear dem shouting "Messi beta pass Ronaldo" and talk about bet 9ja too.

5) Entertainment (music): There was a day two guys fought in my hostel just because one said Davido is better and richer than Wizkid. Any guy that doesn't talk about music is dead socially.

6) Silly wishes: When guys go broke and are talking about it, u hear somthing like "I wish say person go dash me 10 million as I dey go out today" or "if them give you 2 million, wetin u go use am do" I wonder when such wishes would come real.

7) Academics: The brilliant ones will always talk about there frustrating lecturers, annoying lectures of the day and examinations.

cool Game: FIFA and PES has also taken over most guys, Even Don jazzy and D'banj posted something like that few days ago. U see guys boasting about how good dey are on fifa and how many of their mates they have conquered.

9) Betting/ lotto: This one is common for both young and old. Most times they sit together and discuss about the matches of the day and how it would favour them when they bet on the matches.

Christianity EtcSame Sex Marriage: The World Is Challenging The Church- Monsignor Osigweh by Damianobi(op): 4:42pm On Jul 19, 2015
CATHOLIC priest, Rev. Monsignor Sylvester Osigweh has condemned same sex marriage currently being promoted by the West including the United States which recently voted in favour of the anti-social behavior, arguing that the world is gradually challenging the Church.

Monsignor Osigweh of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ifo in Ogun State, who recently celebrated his 76th birthday anniversary, in his pre-birthday sermon, lamented, why America known as ‘God’s own country’ should contradict morality with self gratifying excesses.
His word: “The world is now challenging the Church which is the central controller of morality in the world. The introduction of these things; man marrying man, woman marrying woman…I say, it is against God’s recommendation. But they are trying to control and condemn God’s recommendation.”

He encouraged those are steadfast in the belief that God had instituted marriage to be between one man and one women should not be swayed by current wave of un-Godly doctrines, stressing “anything that has to do with a man marrying another man is immoral and criminal. It is against God’s rules.”

Osigweh who is also the Spiritual Director of ‘Jesus is Love and Power Catholic Healing Ministry’, stressed the need for Christians to remain steadfast in the Lord.
“The world is full of evil people who are promoting evil. All these things belong to the world. They are trying to recruit you into their immoral life with all manner of gimmickry into the world. Jesus, in one of his sermons said, ‘the road that leads to heaven is narrow and rough while the one to hell fire is broad and alluring. All they are looking for is earthly pleasure, merriment, freedom which they abuse,” he stated.

Continuing, he warned Christians; “do not patronize it and never recommend it to anyone,” sympathizing with President Barrack Obchat who, he said, found himself in a leadership position among very powerful and influential Congressmen.
“America will love the good things about you and because they cannot be you, will want to contradict and influence you. I think Obama should not be blamed in this matter because he couldn’t have done otherwise because of the power play in the Congress.

“However, children of God should remain steadfast in serving and worshiping God always. Nobody should think that it will be all rosy or bitter all the time. God has his way for every individual. It is the way an individual understands his way that will make God allow him to operate. If your choice is good or bad, He will allow it. He has already spoken; never you do wrong, follow the right way and do the right thing,” Osigweh said.
