When Nigeria was perceived as a peaceful country. Back then when British Cameroon perceived Nigeria as an egalitarian society.. But the revert is the case.

NOTICE TO ALL PDP STAKEHOLDERS It was discovered in Ekiti State that INEC brought EXCESS copies of Polling Unit Result Sheets (Form EC8A). The excess FORM EC8A brought were more than DOUBLE the number of Polling Units in Ekiti state. This is a clear way to technically rig election by making the extra Form EC8A available to APC to write results of Polling Units they intend to manipulate and swapping them with the ones in which the real votes were entered. For instance, if there are 20 polling units in a Ward, all that will be required will be additional 50 votes in say 10 units with high registered voters. With that, 500 additional votes is gotten in that ward. In a local government with say 10 Wards, 500 in 10 places is 5,000 votes! 5,000 votes in 774 places is 3.87m votes! Buhari won with a little above 2.5m votes in 2015. #WAY OUT: We must insist that INEC should withdraw all excess FORM EC8A already sent to State and for States yet to get electoral materials, INEC must not send excess result sheets. We must also send very vigilant people to INEC offices both at the States and LGs levels to monitor distribution of materials. Our agents must ensure that EXCESS RESULT SHEETS must not leave CBN premises and the excess must be monitored and accounted for after the elections. At this time, VIGILANCE is required. We must get Nigeria working again by ensuring victory for #Atiku/Obi Thank you. Lere Olayinka Director of Media and Publicity Atiku/Obi Presidential Campaign Council, Ekiti State |
Boboye4slim:In my opinion. number 1..Anti pastor freeze is trying to be popular by criticizing men of God number 2..Churches in nigeria are more very effective than the Government,in terms of university...COVENANT UNIVERSITY IS AMONG TOP 3000 UNIVERSITY IN THE WORLD , In my conclusion churches sometimes provide social amenities to their member, when govt fails ...The impact on churches can never be overemphasize in the worldd..so mr freeze shut your mouth |

juventus injury boost ahead of Man United clash in Champions League 05 November at 20:10 Juventus have been handed major boosts ahead of their UEFA Champions League tie against Manchester United in Turin on Wednesday. Allegri had previously stated that they have doubts about three of their players, with Federico Bernardeschi, Mario Mandzukic and Douglas Costa's presences unknown due to injury problems. Sky Sports though, state that although Joao Cancelo suffered an injury on his thigh, he should be fit and ready for the game against United in Turin, with Matuidi also likely to be in the squad for the game. The Frenchman trained separately and he is likely to be involved, with Mandzukic and Chiellini also highly likely to be named in the squad for the game against the Red Devils. Douglas Costa underwent a physiotherapy session today and is not likely to feature, much like Bernardeschi, who has an ankle injury. Moise Kean as well won't be selected and he too is dealing with some niggling injury.

FG To Increase Fuel Price From N145 Per Litre To N185 - Fayose Alleges The immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has alleged that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government is planning to increase the pump price of petrol from N145 per litre to N185 in March next year. In a statement by his Media Aide, Lere Olayinka, the former governor said, “Nigerians have suffered enough in the hands of the APC government and won’t accept any further upward review of petrol pump price. “They are delaying the increment till March because of its effects on the February 2019 elections,” the statement said. The former Ekiti governor said the NNPC presentation to the Senate last week that “N145 fuel pump price was unrealistic and that the pump price of petrol was supposed to be N185 per litre as against the official price of N145 per litre was a way to prepare the minds of Nigerians for the planned increment.” Fayose’s allegation is coming after Maikanti Baru, the Group Managing Director of the NNPC, had told Senate Ad-hoc Committee set up to investigate an allegation that the Corporation created a fund to finance fuel subsidy without appropriation by the National Assembly, that the NNPC set aside $1.05 billion to augment the differential between the landing cost of imported fuel and the pump price of N145 per litre. Baru had said the landing cost of petrol was N185 per litre, pointing out that the N40 gap was being filled with the $1.05 billion Support Fund. Reacting, Fayose said the Corporation must explain to Nigerians where it derived powers to “spend $1.05 billion, over N350 billion, from crude oil sales to subsidize petrol,” adding that it was inexplicable for any agency of the federal government to spend revenue belonging to the entire country without first remitting the fund into the federation account. The former governor said, “smuggling is an outdated excuse for increasing petrol pump price, it will no longer be accepted by Nigerians. “Nigerians are suffering. Millions of jobs have been lost and even many of those still employed are not gainfully employed. The federal government must not add to the burden of the suffering masses by increasing the pump price of petrol as being planned.”

Last night, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo in Abuja said he has started learning the popular `Shaku Shaku’ dance steps for campaigns ahead of the 2019 general elections. Osinbajo, who was the Chairman and Special Guest of Honour at a book launch in Abuja said that his friend recently polled large number of votes just by dancing. According to Osinbajo, nobody knows what will work in Nigerian politics. He said: “and hopefully, we will be able to find resolution to some of questions raised in our political lives as well; I know that is one of the reason Alhaji Shittu Kabir, Chairman, Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) is here. As matter of fact, for those of us who are politicians, when you see `Politicrisis’; especially as elections approach, you might think there is a formula somewhere. Kabir and I and are the opposite sides but we are here to learn; I was saying the other day that politics in Nigeria is becoming very exciting; you never know what works. I can never forget my dear friend in one of the states who just danced his way through the campaigns; all he did was dance; he did nothing else but dance and he won 250,000 votes. So myself and Kabir are now learning Shaku Shaku; we have to learn; who knows what will win.’’

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Saturday cautioned Nigerians against voting for uneducated political leaders. According to Sanusi, a former Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, governor, uneducated leaders who were voted into power could not provide education for Nigerians. He spoke at the 6th convocation ceremony of Nile University of Nigeria in Abuja. According to the monarch, “We have to take an interest in the quality of our leaders and representatives in the level of education. If you look around this country at many levels of leadership, we have elected and we have chosen to elect people who do not have an education. And because they are not educated, they cannot give an education. “We need to lay more emphasis on the quality of people we elect to executive and legislative offices and we need to make sure that those to whom we entrust policy are themselves educated and know the value of education. “Let us invest more in education and let us give up some of the privileges that we have such as the trillions we are spending subsiding petroleum products. That money should go into educating our young people. “We are spending too much monies on roads and bridges and trains and too little money educating our children. Let us educate these young people and they will build the roads, train and bridges. We do not need to invite the Chinese to do that for us. And until the leadership at all levels in this country and the followership understand that this is what is most important, because I do understand sometimes that if a governor does not build roads or bridges, he is seen as not have been performed by the people. “We build all these highways and there are more pedestrians on the highways than cars and those pedestrians are most often people without education and help. Development is first and foremost about people.”

No fewer than 2,032 members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) were on Thursday sworn in for 2018 Batch C Orientation Course in Anambra. Kehinde Aremu, coordinator of the NYSC in the state, made the disclosure this during the oath taking ceremony at the Umunya Temporary Orientation Camp, Oyi Council Area. Mr Aremu said the number was made up of 986 males and 1,046 females. He said the corps members would be deployed to rural and hard to reach areas of the state to complement government’s effort in sustaining educational and health facilities provided in those places. The coordinator said the corps members would be served with the full bouquet of the orientation course, including discipline and skill trainings. He congratulated the new corps members for being part of those mobilised for the national service and urged them to adhere to the camp rules. In his speech, Governor Willie Obiano welcomed the newly sworn-in corps members to the state and urged them to take advantage of the opportunities in Anambra. Mr Obiano, represented by the Deputy Governor, Nkem Okeke, said they should contribute positively to the development of Anambra so that they could proudly lay claim of being part of the history of Anambra’s greatness. He said corps members’ welfare and security would remain the priority of his administration, while assuring that efforts were still on to complete the permanent orientation site. “You must avail yourselves of the lectures and other activities which have been carefully packaged to make you useful to yourself, community and humanity,” he said.

Eleka: The Man Who Will Soon Be Decorated As No. 1 Citizen Of Ekiti State As the case between the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Chief Peter Ayodele Fayose and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is no more as hot as it was last week, let me quickly tell the world via this laconic piece that the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) is temporarily out of government in Ekiti State as the mandate currently being enjoyed by Dr. Kayode Fayemi was not freely given to him by Ekiti people during the said election, therefore, it can't last. It was glaring that if the July 14 election was allowed to be free and fair, the now bragging members of Ekiti APC would have been gnashing their teeth for the mistake they made in making a failed former governor who was outrightly rejected in 2014 election their candidate in 2018. Like Osun election, APC hijacked and stole victory in Ekiti and the stolen mandate will definitely be retrieved by the original winner of the election, Prof. Kolapo Olubunmi Olusola, who has no one to fight his battle but God. I know many people, especially those who are following the level of desperation of the embattled National Chairman and Leader of APC will be mocking me now or disagree with me that a gentleman like Eleka as he's fondly called by his numerous supporters, has what it takes to reclaim his stolen mandate from a friend of Mr. President whose wife is ready to do anything to remain perpetually in power. But let me state it here that as powerful as Buhari is today, he cannot dictate to God. Therefore, I see nothing stopping Eleka's wife, Deaconess Janet Olusola from replacing Erelu Bisi Fayemi as first lady of Ekiti State just as Erelu replaced Mrs. Olukemi Oni in 2010. One of the reasons I see Eleka as the governor in making has to do with the price he paid before and during the election. Despite his humility, he was harassed on his way to his country home on the eve of the election and some APC members were happy to see a sitting deputy governor who was a candidate of a ruling party then being harassed by the security operatives whose job is to maintain peace, protect lives and properties of every citizen. Eleka is challenging Fayemi's victory at the Election Petition Tribunal the way Fayemi did against Engr. Segun Oni and I know the joy of the current ruling party in the state will soon be short lived as the man who should be in power will occupy the seat at the end of the day. It took Fayemi three and half years before he could win a legal battle against Oni, but Eleka will reclaim what belongs to him within a year.
