Ukraine came out of the initial Soviet union, which shows clearly that Ukraine was also a member of the WARSAW PACT which was established to counterbalance NATO, created by Harry Truman in 1949, alongside with some other western allies.

Since the dissolution of Soviet Union, obviously WARSAW PACT wouldn't be effective compared to that of NATO.

Unkraine wants to join NATO whcih made Putin to feel insecured, claiming possible encroachment from the West through Ukraine.

Putin's actions cannot be justified due to the fact that the international law provides room for every sovereign state in the international system to join any international organizations.



Putin is a realist. He believes in war.
