Quick true story. My older sister used to date this guy from a poor family who she met as a broke A
level student.
She used to take, sorry steal, the family food to take to him (e.rice, beans, garri).
She got caught doing so once by my dad and when she explained his situation, he just asked to meet him which he did.
Fast forward over 40 years and a marraige with children and they are still together now as husband and wife. Needless to say he is pretty well off as the last time he didn't travel first class on a plane was in the last century.
I would say she dated him over 6 years (A levels, Degree, NYSC) before he spent a kobo on her.

Kinda emotional , She loves him for Real and Thank goodness he didn't leave her...

My first and only time in my entire life to have a police case. My ex had broken up with me leaving me vulnerable, met this drop dead gorgeous girl in my uncle's cafe I was working whenever I am on break from Uni. Helped her registered her jamb, begged for number, but instead she took mine and promised to call. Didn't call, that's not until one faithful morning.

She called and told me she's in my uni, she's looking for hall to write post jamb, I wasn't in school, but rushed down to school. located her and went as far as impersonating for her, long story short, I got arrested, when they found out I was a student of the school, I was slapped with an extra year. still, I didn't get number. Worst still, she avoided me like a plague like I was the bad guy.

Well! I wrote a letter of deferment to the school, zoomed off to SA to start another course, then off to the UK for another. Till date I haven't seen that girl again.

Met one guy off nl when I used to cry and rant about it. Guy finally said let's meet and get something, I said for once let me act like , expensive, maybe then a guy will say I'm worth all those things they always do for girls. I changed my mind for once and ordered chips and chicken instead of the usual water or nothing that I would've said. Guy caught me as if I'm a thief and said ' shey on nl you always say you don't collect money.' ( I shrug )

Last last I have stopped being pained secretly thatI didn't receive money. Even with guys rants and insults everywhere, if I collect the money sef, gyal will be feeling like slay queen or thief. Happy I have a job now.

I'd just like a life where I can work and collect good money , not all these insults and suspicions from guys once they unwillingly drop a naira as always.
