Why the LPG Cooking Gas Business Is a Good Investment Option in Nigeria As cooking gas (LPG) continues to rise - more homes and businesses switching from kerosene and firewood to cleaner gas. This makes LPG one of the most profitable and stable investment options today. Here’s why investing in an LPG plant or gas retail business is a smart decision: 1. You Own Your Business Starting an LPG business means you become your own boss. You control how much you earn, who you sell to, and how you expand. Unlike franchise or dealership models, owning an LPG plant gives you complete ownership and independence. 2. It Is Highly Profitable LPG is in constant daily demand. Whether in homes, restaurants, hotels, or factories, people need gas to cook and operate. With profit margins ranging between ₦100 to ₦300 per kg, depending on your location, you can easily make hundreds of thousands monthly, even with a small plant. 3. Easy to Set Up Compared to other energy businesses, LPG plants are easier and faster to set up once you meet safety and regulatory requirements. You can begin operations within 6–8 weeks, especially for mini or skid plants, which are cheaper and more flexible. 4. Easy to Maintain and Manage {👇} https://www.naijalpg.com.ng/2025/10/top-9-reasons-to-invest-in-lpg-cooking.html

The domestic liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sector in Nigeria oil and gas industry has huge investment potential. Most people in the middle and upper classes now use gas for cooking. It’s also in high demand across industries, government offices, hotels, hospitals, restaurants, bakeries, and other businesses. In addition, LPG is now seen as a safe, clean, and environmentally friendly fuel option, which supports the global move toward green energy. Example of Profit from LPG Chain Here’s a simple example of how profits flow across the LPG value chain: • Retail price: ₦17,492.42 per 12.5kg cylinder (₦1,399/kg). • Upstream (refinery/supply): ₦15,495.45 • Operational cost: - (it depends) • Retail margin (profit): 10% or more From this breakdown, investors with LPG gas plant can quickly recover their investment and start earning steady income. Those investing upstream (refineries or bulk terminals) can make higher long-term profits but need larger capital Although the cooking gas business is becoming more common, the number of properly built LPG plants remains small. This creates huge potential for new investors. As more households switch to gas, the customer base continues to expand, ensuring steady demand. The federal benchmark price is ₦230 per kg (PCNGi / FG). Using a common conversion for natural gas (about 0.829 kg per 1 SCM), that equals roughly ₦191 per SCM. Market prices can be higher (₦320 - ₦350/kg or more), so the real SCM price in some places is often ₦265–₦290 per SCM or higher. If you want an exact number for a specific station, ask the supplier for their conversion factor. The official ₦230/kg was set as a target under the Presidential CNG Initiative, but real retail prices often differ by location and supply chain. Always check local station prices. Before you go ahead with starting/opening up a gas plant, mini gas plant or the standard gas station - you must get the right documents and approvals. These documents are required by government agencies such as the DPR (now NMDPRA – Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority), fire service, and local authorities. Without them, your gas plant or retail shop could be sealed, and you may face heavy fines. This article will explain the cost of all documents needed before starting a cooking gas business in Nigeria. 1. Business Registration with CAC 2. DPR/NMDPRA Approval (Operating License) 3. Fire Service Certificate > Document Needed: Fire safety approval and inspection report. > Why: To confirm safety standards and firefighting equipment are in place. 4. Town Planning / Local Government Permit > Document Needed: Land use approval and location permit. > Why: To confirm the land is suitable for gas business (not close to schools or hospitals). Expect this to cost you about ₦50,000 – ₦200,000 (depending on location and state). Plus small stress. >>>>full link to article 👇 https://www.naijalpg.com.ng/2025/08/full-cost-of-documents-needed-to-start.html

If you're wondering how much a 12.5 kg cooking gas refill costs right now in state, location in Nigeria, here's what recent data shows - and why prices are changing so much. Current Price Trends The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reports that the average price for refilling a 12.5 kg LPG cylinder in June 2025 rose by about 10.5 percent year-on-year, to nearly ₦17,500.56 - up from ₦16,250.27 in June 2024 . Month-on-month, the price also went up slightly in May . But there's some relief, especially in Lagos. A recent market check shows that dealers across Lagos are now selling cooking gas at around ₦1,100 per kilogram, down from earlier highs of ₦1,300/kg . That means a full 12.5 kg refill now costs roughly ₦13,750 significantly less than the national average. Thanks to liquidity and access to cheaper depot gas (such as from Dangote or Techno), this also helps keep prices lower in certain areas. Monday March 10 2025 The controversy surrounding the death of Nigerian artist MohBad (Ilerioluwa Aloba) has taken another turn as his widow, Wunmi, spoke out in an exclusive interview on AIT Security Scope. In the interview, she shed new light on the events leading up to his tragic passing, revealing shocking details about his health, their relationship, and the ongoing family feud. Events Leading to MohBad’s Death According to Wunmi, MohBad had a physical altercation with a friend just days before his passing. Following that incident, he began feeling unwell. Concerned about his health, she called their family doctor on Sunday, September 10, 2023—a day that was meant to be special as it was also their child’s birthday. Despite feeling sick, MohBad insisted that Wunmi should proceed with the birthday plans, assuring her that he would meet them later. However, his condition worsened the next day, Monday, September 11, 2023. Since their family nurse was unavailable that day, a friend of MohBad recommended another nurse, claiming he had been using her services for the past three years. When the nurse arrived, she administered a series of injections. According to Wunmi, MohBad reacted badly to the third injection and tragically passed away. Mental Health Struggles & Relationship Issues In the interview, Wunmi also disclosed that MohBad had been struggling with mental health issues before his death. She revealed that at some point, he even had to visit a psychiatric hospital because he felt like he was "a shadow of himself." She also admitted that she had been considering leaving the relationship due to MohBad’s declining mental state and emotional struggles. However, she stayed because his father repeatedly begged her to remain by his side. Naira Marley’s Silence & DNA Controversy One of the biggest revelations from the interview was Wunmi’s claim that Naira Marley—MohBad’s former record label boss—has never reached out to her since the singer’s passing. This adds to the speculation that MohBad’s past conflicts with Naira Marley and the Marlian Music label may have played a role in his struggles before his death. Addressing the DNA controversy, Wunmi confirmed that she is open to a paternity test to prove that MohBad is indeed the father of their child. However, she accused MohBad’s father of deliberately delaying the test because he is allegedly enjoying the attention and fame that the controversy has brought him. More Questions Than Answers This interview has sparked fresh debates, as many Nigerians are still demanding justice for MohBad. The details of his sudden illness and the role of the nurse remain major concerns. Some believe this strengthens the argument that there was foul play involved, while others think it may have been a medical accident. With ongoing investigations and widespread public interest, the search for the truth continues. What are your thoughts on this new revelation? Do you think the interview clears Wunmi’s name, or does it raise even more suspicion? Share your opinions below. Disclaimer: I was at the barber shop when this program was aired. I had to jot so to catch up with the interview. The information presented in this article is based on statements made by MohBad’s widow, Wunmi, during her interview on AIT Security Scope.

Becoming a nurse in Nigeria is a rewarding career path with great opportunities in healthcare. If you are thinking about studying nursing in Nigeria, one important question that may come to mind is: "How many years does it take to complete nursing school?" The answer depends on the type of nursing program you choose. Here is a detailed look at the different programs and their durations. 1. Basic Nursing Program The most common path for aspiring nurses is the basic nursing program. This program is offered by many schools of nursing across Nigeria. It is a 3-year course where students are trained to become Registered Nurses (RN). After completing the program, graduates must pass the licensing exam from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) to practice as nurses. During the 3 years, students are taught subjects like anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and nursing care. They also spend time in hospitals gaining practical experience. The program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to work in various healthcare settings. 2. Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.) Degree For those who prefer to attend a university, there is the Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.) degree program. This is a 5-year course for students who enter through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The course covers a wide range of nursing topics, including health systems management, research, and leadership. For students who already hold a diploma in nursing, there is an option to enter the program through Direct Entry, reducing the duration to 4 years. Graduates of this program earn a degree and can pursue higher studies or specialized fields in nursing. 3. Post-Basic Nursing Programs For Registered Nurses who want to specialize in certain areas of nursing, there are >>> CONTINUE READING 👇 https://www.essiebookblog.com.ng/2025/01/2025-update-how-many-years-is-school-of.html

In a groundbreaking development, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has introduced a resit option for students who fail one or more subjects or have their papers canceled. This means students no longer have to wait an entire year to retake the exam. Instead, they can immediately register for the specific courses they need to resit, providing a faster path to achieving academic success. According to reports, registration for the resit exams is already ongoing, and the exams are set to commence on January 28, 2025. This is excellent news for students and parents alike, as it offers a second chance to improve results within the same academic cycle. If your child struggled with any subject in their WAEC exams, now is the time to act. Visit the official WAEC website for more details on how to register. A Much-Needed Initiative but With Mixed Opinions While this initiative is commendable, some argue that it may be somewhat redundant given the availability of alternatives like NECO (National Examinations Council) and GCE (General Certificate of Education). Many Nigerian universities already allow students to combine results from WAEC and NECO, or they admit students with an "awaiting result" status, which can later be updated with GCE results. However, the new WAEC resit option eliminates the need for students to juggle two separate exams or gamble on uncertain outcomes. It also provides a structured opportunity for students to address their shortcomings quickly and efficiently. The Bigger Picture: Resit Exams in Higher Institutions While WAEC resit initiative is a step in the right direction, some believe that the focus should also shift to higher education. Nigeria remains one of the few countries where university students face "carryovers" and "spillovers," often resulting in extended academic years. Introducing resit exams at the university level could streamline the system, allowing students to retake failed courses immediately rather than waiting for an entire semester or academic year. This would align Nigerian higher institutions with global best practices. Challenges and Considerations Despite its benefits, the WAEC resit option raises some questions: 1. Cost: Students will still need to pay for the resit exams. While this is expected, it could pose financial challenges for some families. 2. Universities and Combined Results: Not all universities accept combined results from WAEC and NECO, making the resit option a critical alternative for students aiming for seamless admission. 3. Applicability for Older Results: It’s unclear whether the resit option applies to WAEC results of previous years. Consider Stress of Preparing for Multiple Exams, For many students, preparing for both WAEC and NECO simultaneously can be >>>> READ FULL STORY HERE 👇 https://www.essiebookblog.com.ng/2025/01/waec-introduces-resit-exams-in-2025.html

My visit to obsanjo farms OTA was both full of excitement and surprises. With working for just five (5) days at the large farmland, it was a lifetime experience I won't forget in a long time. I met with great interesting workers, people from different places - asked questions and also get firsthand sight seeing on how modern and best farming practices are done. However, I have a lot Issues with the establishment, especially in terms of worker welfare and food production. BRIEF HISTORY Obsanjo farms OTA is undeniably one of the well known farms in Nigeria. It covers a large area of land; with buildings on it, used for growing crops and keeping animals. The farm also housed many farm workers/labourers, farm buildings and farm machinery. As the name implies, the large hectare of farmland is owned by the former head of state and former Ex-president of Nigeria - OLUSEGUN OBASANJO. Former president Olusegun Obasanjo likely is a very intelligent and smart man, who saw the huge potential in the agricultural non-oil sector of the Nigeria economy and utilized it. Of course Obasanjo farms OTA, the farmland has its own past history regarding Issues on land ownership, but I am sure by now, all would have been settled. Established in 1979, fourty years down the line, Ex-president Olusegun Obsanjo is still active in the business. BUSINESS Just like the Songhai farm in Porto-Novo, Obasanjo farms OTA has a great Agro farm setting that applies modern and best farming practices. The farmland is also accessable for Agro investor, exporter or manufacturer within Nigeria and beyond with accommodation for duration of stay. They also have access to high yield seedlings and breed stock, lectures and sight seeing. One can check all necessary information on the official website, which includes the Obasanjo farms vision and mission. With over four decades in business, Obasanjo farms is one of the largest poultry farm in Nigeria. There isn't much to write about Nigeria agricultural sector, however there is a need to unearth the unlimited opportunities in this non-oil sector of the Nigeria economy. And Obasanjo farms OTA seems to stand in the center of it all. The farm establishment almost does all Agro-based businesses such as poultry farming, turkey farming, pig farming, Grass-cutters farming, and other vegetable plants and cash crops cultivation. Obasanjo farms is a producer of varieties of poultry, livestock and farm products. SECURITY It was a great experience indeed. The road seemed to have no end. There were just two check points from the main gate to where I was posted - the chicken processing unit. The mopols at each one of them seemed to possessed of a belligerent vitality. They stopped everyone going out from the farmland, irrespective of the department you work in. They stopped every vehicle, searched all nooks and crannies, emptied every bag and sack, dug their eyes into them, barked a thousand questions. And if you are coming in, you will have to sign in by also answering few questions, which involves your department and so on. However, for the fact that hundreds of workers/labourers enter in and goes out from the large farmland, one could wonder why the use of ID cards isn't use. Just standing and looking from the front gate inside, you could see the mould statue of the Ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo with his farm tools, lol. From there, is the admin and accounting office, also the vet office and drug store. WORKER WELFARE I have read online from various websites in Nigeria about the number of employed workers in Obasanjo farms. A lot of these websites claimed that nearly 5,500 workers are employed at the farm. Lol, that is quite an incredible stats. Unless the farm they all writes about is not located here in Nigeria. The department I worked, we are not even up to 200 workers. With my calculation and findings from past and present workers in the farm, the total number of workers and labourers are not up to 2,000 in numbers. And we all know that for labourers, they come and go, including those casual workers. Like the famous words - "Soldier come, soldier go - barrack still remains". So, that could leave the total number of active workers at Obasanjo farms down to 1,000 workers. The treatment of workers at Obasanjo farms OTA is even worse for anyone to even consider working for more than two days. To be sincere, it was not fair at all. Workers are treated just as slaves - no resting hours/periods, no working shift, no breaktime. You could stand all day working without setting down, unless there is power interruption, and that last like how many minutes? 5 minutes. And don't get me started on workers salary >>>>>> Article Source: https://www.agrolivestockfarming.com.ng/2023/04/obasanjo-farms-ota-brief-history.html |

Across America, gang activity is increasing—not just in major cities like New York and Los Angeles but also in smaller towns. One sign of gang presence is through tattoos, which members use to show their loyalty and mark their territory. Knowing what these tattoos look like can help keep you and your family safe. Here are some of the common gang tattoos and what they mean: 14" or "88" Tattoo: These numbers are linked to the Aryan Brotherhood, a large neo-Nazi prison gang. - Spiderweb Tattoo: Often on the elbow, this tattoo shows a person has spent time in prison and may have joined a gang for protection. - Teardrop Tattoo: Usually means a murder committed for a gang, though the meaning can vary. - Three Dots Tattoo: This tattoo means "my crazy life" in Spanish ("mi vida loca" and shows a general gang lifestyle, not linked to one specific gang.- Five Dots Tattoo: Indicates a person has served significant prison time and is usually linked to more dangerous gang involvement. - "MS" Tattoo: Found on members of the MS-13 gang, which is known for random acts of violence and was started by Salvadoran immigrants. Lot of Nigerians want to know pros and cons of installing cng kit in their cars. For the benefit of all let me share few points I believe should be considered. CNG gas is said to cost N230 per kg when it finally rolls out - Presidency. Compared to petrol fuel (PMS), now almost sold @ 600 per litre. Negatives: The N230 reduction on cng fuel is actual saving of just N370 considering... 1) installation cost, 2) hassel of refuling overr 150-180kms, 3) increased maintenance cost as cng requires frequent air filter change and throttle body cleaning, 4) loss of luggage space 5) risk of cng cylinder = bomb on board 6) loss of power However you should also know positives as well to take an informed decision... 1) 1kg cng give over 26kmp/kg 2) improved ride >>>> CONTINUE READING 👇 https://www.naijalpg.com.ng/2023/11/what-are-pros-and-cons-of-installing.html

When we talk about pigs, especially in farming, there are special words for different times in their lives. One question people often ask is: what do you call a pig that's going to have babies? A pig that's going to have babies is called a "sow." A sow is a grown-up female pig that's ready to have piglets. Farmers pick sows carefully for their health and size, and how good they are at having healthy babies. While a sow is pregnant, which usually lasts about three months, she stays in a safe place called a farrowing crate. These crates are made just for sows to have their babies safely and comfortably. They protect the sow and her piglets, making sure no one gets hurt. Having babies and taking care of them is called "farrowing." It's an important time for both the sow and her piglets. They need good food and care to grow up healthy. After the piglets are born, they might be raised for meat or to have more piglets themselves. Sows can have babies more than once to keep the cycle going. So, a pregnant pig is called a "sow." Knowing this helps people understand how pigs grow and are taken care of on farms. It's important in farming to know these words and how pigs are raised for different reasons >>>> CONTINUE READING 👇 https://www.agrolivestockfarming.com.ng/2024/06/pig-pregnancy-what-is-pregnant-female.html

In contrast, students in some European countries may be 19 or 20, often due to additional years of schooling or gap years.
