I live in a compound that has 6 flats(two storey building) and am in the middle floor. All the other tenants are married with kids except for me and one other guy staying in the top floor who are bachelors. This other bachelor guy had one very good girlfriend that's comes around but he really didn't appreciate her because he is a big time play boy and believe so much in following different girls. Many times we notice he always have issues with his girlfriend and even lays his hand on her but she still kept hanging on hoping he will change but as their relationship kept getting terrible especially one day she came over and met him with another girl, all hell went loose that day and she made up her mind to break up with him.

As the bad guy that he is, he didn't seem to care much and we neighbors normally mind our business and no one ever interfare in their issues right from time. The highest we do is come out to our balconies and observe their arguments outside.

To cut the long story short, I met this girl somewhere recently and because we recognised each other, we greeted well, had a little conversation and we exchanged numbers. I started checking up on her through whatsapp and she also do same. In the process are conversations started getting deeper, and we had a nice friendly outing. Although it has just been on a friendly level so far but it's becoming something else like we practically chat everyday. I could wake up in the morning to see her message or she could wake up to see mine. We chat alot at night before she goes to bed and we are beginning to have feelings for each other.

My problem here is that, though this her ex is not my guy at all, we are just normal neighbors but am really wondering how it will look like to him and other tenets if eventually we start dating.

I am a super bachelor now ready to settle down and she is also a very nice and focused working class girl who really wants to settle down as well and that dude was just taking her for granted.

I really don't know what am about to get myself into so I need some matured advice from people out here.

I don't know why British accent irritates me

It irritates you because when they brought English to Africa (Nigeria), we were too dull to learn the proper way the English is spoken so we had speak it in our own local way which you are now very comfortable with and feel the way it is spoken in Nigeria is the proper way. If you even go to England you will fall in love with proper English and realize that you have been speaking crap as English for a long time.
