Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Amcon Interview Next Phase! by danny2010(f): 11:45pm On May 26, 2011
@amor4ce. I keep getting 'em update details mails too! I still updated my details tonite as well! I'm not sure what you mean, I think the mail is legit. I actually didn't even use the link in the mail. My pc already has HCDC site in the drop down so I went on directly to update the details hopefully for the last time! It doesn't hurt to check with the IT help-line I guess though, Cheers.

@babysim86
try them on 07028039554. it does take a long time to get through but you will eventually get through if you keep trying!

@ totfulguy
I was sent that mail too and my cv and details kept bouncing back even after resending. To my pleasant surprise, i received a mail specifically addressed to me and not the usual 'Dear Applicant".

It was pretty well-organized to be honest. there were already print outs with all invited names. I met a total of about 8 candidates while I was there. There is a short technical test for about 15mins before the interview so you are advised to get there about 30 mins before your interview slot. Everyone has to write the short technical test before their interview. There were HCDC consultants interviewing for different roles, i figured they were specialists in those roles.

They are interviewing people role by role. So if you have not been called, don't worry- they probably have not started interviewing for your role.
My advice- apply for as many roles as interest you. I wasn't called for the initial role I applied for in march. I was called for one of the supplementary roles i applied for 2wks ago!

@baby lawyr- thanks a lot. God bless!

All the best, nairalanders. It would be great to meet more people who have been through the process.

I got a mail at midnight inviting me for interview on the 24th May. I also just received a follow up call confirming my attendance a few minutes ago.

I didnt write a test and this is the first stage for me. The person that called mentioned interviews have been ongoing at HCDC for various AMCON roles.

Please is there any one in the house who has attended an interview? any hints or tips please?

Thanks and God bless!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Recruitment Day 2011 by danny2010(f): 9:29pm On Apr 09, 2011
Hi guys.

I was shortlisted. i know at least 3 pple that were shortlisted for various roles too.

About the recruitment day, there is a stage before SRD day. sometimes, shell nigeria organises interviews to see if you would fit into their organization but other times is a SHL based test first before the actual SRD day. This year, i hear its likely to be the SHL based test, if you are successful in the test, you get called up for the SRD day.

I have applied to shell a couple of years ago, passed the test but the SRD didnt go too well so here I am again, grin

All the best guys. Cheers
