Well it depends on type of foundation you are using
If u are doing a raft foundation ,u don't need to dig down ,just make ur form work, reinforced it ,you are good to go, since d surrounding Is still going to be fill with sharp sand.

But in situations of hollow block.. ..dont try it

Op, being a town planner in Nigeria and other part of the world may sound sweet and good in books but in reality its not. How many TPLs roam the streets with their jobs taken over by other professionals and non professionals yet NITP an other planning regulatory professional bodies are busy holding conferences and seminars that isn't addressing the trend?
Go around and see young town planners who are supposed to work in estate development firms and companies turn down cos the firms alleges, "they need no town planners, planners are only consultants". This leaves these young professionals stuck.


May I remind you I'm a TPL.

In this part of the world the believe is that Govt is the only employer of Planners. How myopic that could be.

When ever u a grated approval check d big stamp on it, it is writing that 'this approval those nt garranty you ownership of land' which means C of O is needed bt due to delay in getting C of O Lagos govt nw say u can process approval without c of O bt u must av atleast made payment for C of O.

No Sir! All that is needed now is the authenticity of your survey plan and this can be thru your land information.

The issue on C of O is dat, u must av at least started the processing and payed for it even if it nt out you will be given a clearance letter to process your building plan approval.

Yes they accept it. All you just need is to make photocopy is the card front and back bec the number on it is what they need.

You can now do your approval without the C of O. After getting the number you can now proceed with your C of O.

I help run Building Plan Approval.......If you have building plan you want to approve in Lagos, that's what I do.

We are just being unnecessarily rugged in this part of the world, where medical check up is almost forbidden. I am not saying they should travel for it, but thinking someone is about to die is the only reason he goes for a check up is laughable.
