This high-capacity Glo-1 fibre-optic cable will bring direct connectivity to the UK and from there to America and the rest of the world. The cable is 9,800 km long. Its landing points are in Lagos, Lisbon, Portugal and Bude, England.

The Glo-1 cable will provide a capacity of 32 X 10 Gigabits per second on its 2-fibre pair system. The Glo-1 cable will thus provide excess bandwidth to all the cities connected to it. This means a much faster and robust connectivity for voice, data and video. The cable will connect most West African countries through special branching units.
