Another benefit of reading this thread...

I learnt about IOM from here and I'm super impressed!

I just booked my flight using IOM Australia at the rate of USD1,023 (Lagos>Dubai>Brisbane)

And the best part? It's Emirates! I'm also super psyched 'cos my Dubai>Brisbane leg will be on the famous Airbus A380 wink

I requested to pay through their Nigerian account and the Naira equivalent they asked me to pay is N203,311.02 which is far cheaper than what is obtainable on the Emirates website. grin grin grin

Please posh, how many days did it take them to reply u with your ticket after payment?

Please house is it possible that an agent can instruct embassy to delay a visa application because my friend agent is treating her that if she applied for visa behind his back that he's going to make sure she got denied unless she applied through him and pay for his guarantee visa charges which is very high that he will send her particulars to the Pretoria that if she applied they will notify him by then he will ask them to deny it that she must pay him to apply for her so I ask is it possible and how she got to know these agent is through the school she applied because the school ask her to apply through an agent. So is it possible

That agent is nothing but a criminal, they will play on your intelligence and tell you they have connections with the consulate... That's a pure lie... I remembered few years back when I got my south African visa.... The Agent ranted hell on fire.... When it was time for collection, he followed me down and even boasted they will deny me if I don't pay his fees, I kept quiet and went straight to south African embassy for collection and dared his gut. To my amazement I was granted and I left without him noticing, when he called I lied I was denied, I realised he was happy and I just smiled. I deliberately played this trick due to what had transpaired between us initially... He scammed me on helping me secure a visa to the united States and gave an option of south africa, hoping to mugu me again... What they do is pretend as if they facilitated your visa grant , the moment you collect your visa and give your passport to them, then u are trapped. They will seize your passport with the visa grant and tell you to pay their fee before the release it to you.... They hold you to Ransome... You entered an agreement with them, so no police can interfere. U will have to pay. No scam agent has any direct links to any consular even embassy staffs do not have a full access.... They operate in strict confidential platform. Dont be a victim.

Your friend need her head properly checked if she believes that nonsense from the agent. The agent is a poor crook. Nobody can influence embassy's decision on visa application. He is just a poor hungry agent looking for victims. Your friend should ignore him and apply.
