Victoria Ayuwei, Per Second NewsEkiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has ruthlessly attacked President Muhammadu Buhari again describing the President as a sectional leader, who sees himself mainly as a leader of the Hausa/Fulani and not that of the entire Nigeria. Fayose said the appointment of yet another northerner, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu as Chairman the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is a vindication of his position that “President Mohammadu Buhari is a sectional leader. The governor, who said he had expected that the new INEC Chairman will be chosen from one of the three Southern geo-political zones, especially the South Western part of the country being the only zone yet to produce chairman of the nation’s electoral umpire, posited that; “Nigeria has entered a one chance bus and it remains to be seen who will save the country from its sectional President.” “Shouldn’t he have considered someone from either South-East, South-South or South-West as Chairman of the Electoral Commission now that we have a President from the North? “For reasons of perception, equity and fairness, don’t we have credible people from the Southern part of Nigeria that can conduct credible elections as INEC Chairman? Or do we assume that the 2019 According to a statement obtained by Per Second News he said that the Yoruba leaders who promoted and made the Buhari’s Presidency possible had been short-changed. “How then can we have a President from the North and at the same time have INEC Chairman from the Hausa/Fulani Northern Nigeria? “Obviously, what is being witnessed is more like a situation where it appears the President is more interested in having someone malleable to him than serving the interest of Nigeria and its people. "elections have already been won and lost by the appointment of this Hausa/Fulani professor as INEC chairman? Or isn’t it regrettable that even in 2015, it is only in PDP controlled States that elections are being upturned?” He said he was worried that the three arms of government; namely Executive, Legislative and Judiciary were being headed by northerners, leaving the three zones in the Southern part of the country with nothing. Speaking further, Governor Fayose said; “When Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was the President, he never appointed a Yoruba man as INEC chairman. Dr Goodluck Jonathan too did not appoint an Ijaw man as INEC Chairman. “Former President Shehu Shagari too did not appoint a Hausa man like himself as Chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission (FEDECO). Rather, he appointed late Justice Victor Ovie Whisky. “During the Ibrahim Babangida and Sani Abacha regimes, no Hausa/Fulani man was appointed as Chairman of the National Electoral Commission of Nigeria and General Abdulsalami Abubakar who established the current INEC did not also appoint his fellow Hausa man as chairman. |
RE: BUHARI AND THE LION OF BOURDILLON BY FEMI ARIBISALA Buhari might have made the statement that he would probe corrupt Nigerians from when he assumed office based on the need not to open past wounds or based on the fact that the country need to move forward because going to revisit corruption over the years would be too disastrous to his administration's achievement especially where the believe is to serve the people. Buhari by antecedent is an anti-corruption agent and no one can take that from him not even the likes of Aribisala. There have a lot of character assassinations on the personality of the General, while some want him dead, others want him hanged but no matter what they said about him, the man is waxing stronger because he has the support of the masses not the elites. The attack on Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu by some disgruntle elements were borne out of envy. They have leveled several allegations that were not verifiable because they could not provide evidence for proof. It is very unfortunate that we feed on hearsay information in Nigeria, the one Yoruba people refer to as 'Radio Eleje'. Asiwaju was a rich man before coming to politics, having work with a major Oil company abroad. An average oil company worker even in Nigeria is rich. Asiwaju later served the country as a Senator and as well as two term governor of Lagos State. We should not pray for him to be poor and should not forget that President Jonathan was been probe by the EFCC as the executive governor of Bayelsa State on financial related case and it was yet to be decided as at today. The president also can be said to be an accomplice in his boss case, ALAMS, on his trial and conviction abroad on corruption and money laundering(on the Balyelsa looting). After all, he was the deputy and there is no way he can convince us that he did not know anything about his boss gullibility. Aribisala and his masters does not have any moral justification to allege any citizen of this country of being fraudulent. No matter what the likes of Aribisala say or feel about General Buhari, let the masses decide who shall rule them come 28th March,2015. They have tried several ways to disrupt the coming general election but thank God that every moves by them have been equally countered by Nigerians. First they shift the election, they want Jega out, Militants protesting no cause across the entire country etc. They can not deceive us that Terrorists have been wiped out of the country but only that we have experienced reduction in their activities. There were occasional bombings recently in Yobe and Borno, the killings of about 98 people in Benue few days ago and the total control of the security system of the country by the militants. Take the case of the OPC in the South West destroying other peoples property in the presence of the arm less national security personnel. We should not forget that that was how the Boko Haram group started few years ago in the North East because some people armed them to fight their opponents. We may see the repeat of Boko Haram in the South West soon if care is not taken. Aribisala should be asked, what have they done to the below issues? 1. N195 Billion Maina Pension Scam 2.Kerosene Subsidy Scam 3.$6bn Fuel Subsidy Scam 4.123bn Naira Fraud – Stephen Oronsaye 5.Police Pension Fund Fraud 6.Stella Oduah car purchase scandal 7.$15 million in Private Jet Arms Scandal 8.Crude Oil Theft Scandal 9.NNPC missing $20billion naira 10.Ekiti Gate 11.Mohammed Abacha N446 Billion case 12.N7Billion Bribe to Christian Religious Leaders The above are just few allegation of fraud that can come to mind now out of the numerous corruption and fraud cases at the open. Aribisala should stop the cheap blackmail of ASIWAJU. We cannot be deceived again like when they said they have no shoes, this same Asiwaju helped them to secure Lagos. But now that we have discovered that the 6 years of Jonathan amount to waste because there is nothing to show for it. We are waiting for their campaign slogan this coming election. Their transformation remains a cause to the country. No road, No light, No food and no future. President Jonathan's administration has failed and Femi Aribisala should keep his mouth shut. His generation is gone in the history of this country. Nigerians are more intelligent than him and his masters and we would not slave again in our own fatherland. God bless Nigeria. How on earth can anyone believe that Tinubu own bullet proof cars. What would he be using it for? Tinubu is a man of the people and i have not seen him in one before. If there is any bullet proof cars at all ready for clearing, the best question as regards the ownership should be addressed to the federal government/the military. In the present situation in Nigeria today, only the authorities above have the power to secure bullet proof cars because you have to get permission before purchase. Lagosian must be grateful to God and Tinubu if not in 2003, Lagos would have been part of PDP poverty development states. We thank you ASIWAJU for not selling Lagos to PDP during OBJ era. No amount of blackmail can stop TINUBU from moving forward and giving dividends of democracy to his people. JAGABAN you too much for them. They are doing all these out of envy. We Lagosian salute and assure you that we are solidly behind you. They should go and look for the owners of their bullet proof cars elsewhere. |
Although while the Presidential debate would have been the best window for BUHARI to express and shed more lights on his programmes and the party manifesto. It is perceived that the debate is the handwork of the ruling party to embarass GMB. Debate or no debate what Nigeria need is a good government devoid of any characters that can fuel crisis in the country.....Electorate knows that it is time to think deep and twice as well....We do not need transformation but all we need are, power, employment, food, shelter and all good things of life. God bless Nigeria. annibro: |
