I didn't mean you literally need to win all the 8games now, but for you to win EURO or Copa America you will need still to play 8games. So the numbers of country participating in a tournament should not be a criteria for discrediting it.

Both Messi and Lewandoski did poorly in Champions league, none of them won it or was name the best player.

Yes maybe you are right, but the truth is no player performance was overly superb last season, every player is lacking something. Lewandoski performed well in the his league, but was no where to be found where other people are playing international football. Jorghino won some of the major trophies but lacking in personal achievement, then comes Messi who his individual performance both in his league and in the international was on point. In my view Messi has a bit of an edge over others.

The reason why Sanchez, Dani Alves and others who won Copa America but didn't win Ballon d'Or was because there were players better than them in those period, who has better stats than them.
