Simon, Ndidi, Chukwueze and Onyedika should no longer receive automatic call-ups to the Super Eagles. Honestly, what have they consistently offered this team over the past seven years? We keep recycling the same players while expecting different results.

Our team seriously lacks fighting spirit, urgency and the hunger to win. I am 1,000% convinced that if it had been our first team playing against Russia, we would have lost that game after going 3–1 down instead of fighting back to draw. That comeback showed the importance of determination and character, qualities that should be non-negotiable when representing Nigeria.

The national team needs players who can deliver, make a real impact and take responsibility when it matters most. Call-ups should be based on current form, consistency, commitment and performance, not reputation or sentiment. Nigerian football needs fresh ideas, fresh energy and genuine competition for places in the team

Remember 5 years ago when I warned you guys about chukwueze especially i was met with insults and ridicule and YOU were one of those that'll laugh at me

It’s just a pity that Napoli and his agent failed woefully during his deadlocked contract.Osimhen at his age shouldn’t be a Galatasaray player,look at Sala retiring to Turkish league and still earning than Osimhen.

Go and ask Okocha how painful he is even as at today mentioning Bolton as one of his clubs with such talent.He said it in one of his interviews that it was a big mistake.

I’m glad you called it out. When I called it out a few years ago some people said I was hating on dude.

I’m one of his biggest fans but this is a glaring issue in his game. Even for the NT there are many goals that were called back because he went too early.

In the season he won the Scudetto with Napoli, he had 32 appearances and 32 offsides.

Martinez for example, was caught offsides 13 times in 38 appearances.

Osi needs to do better but I fear it’s just part of his game at this point in time.

I have not changed my stand on Kelechi Iheanacho. We need to start building for the future. Kelechi needs to show me he can still ball at a higher level than the Turkish second division. That goal he scored against Russia was good. That his left foot is still deadly. Eric Chelle will probably always have 4 strikers in his squad. In the Super Eagles currently, we have two strikers that I really rate; they are Victor Osimhen and George Ilenikhena. Akor Adams's strong partnership with Victor Osimhen means that he will always be there. So there is really one position that will be up for grabs in the strikers department. Left for me, I will give that sport to a promising striker with a high ceiling. I will give it to a player that I believe in 2 to 3 years, he will grow into a proper striker.

This young player will come to train, develop, sit back, and learn from Victor Osimhen. Strikers that come to mind are Stanley Iheanacho, Uchenna Ogundu, Hafiz Ibrahim, Rafiu Durusimni, etc. I like Rafiu; he is dominant in the air, and he is technically superior to Tolu, and Awoniyi. He will get better with time. He can consistently score with his head and both feet, and currently only Victor Osimhen can boldly say he can do those too among our strikers currently. That move to Pisa was just a bad move.

To be perfectly honest with you guys, if Eric Chelle chooses to go with a more experienced player for the 4th striker role, I will take Kelechi Iheanacho over Tolu Arokadare and Taiwo Awoniyi.

Terem Moffi is the 3rd most talented SE striker currently. He is a streaky player and that is my problem with Moffi. When he is on, he is elite, but sometimes due to his consistent injuries, being fully fit and on form has become a massive challenge for him.

Victor Boniface is just a wasted talent. How this boy essentially went from being the second-best striker in the Bundesliga to a player Leverkusen cannot wait to sell for scraps need to be studied. It is really difficult to take a player who is not even professional enough to be in a football shape seriously. I have completely given up on him. He can still prove me wrong, and I will gladly eat the humble pie. Really talented but just not a serious person or professional.

Well your opinion is absolute trash. Jay Emem was playing in Serbia and wasnt exacty tearing it up there while Ilehekhana at 17 was scoring in the UCL and in Begium. There is no conceivable objective way Jay Emem is better than George Ilehekahana. I will also quote you if i see fit. One fundamental error you should never make in analysing a super eagle player is giving them accolades they have not earned in the jersey. We have gone through a lot of strikers who we rated highly before their first matches with us who have disappointed us. Simy nwakwo was called the return of kanu (although his goal output seems to be at par considering that Kanu himself didn't score that much for us. Maybe we were the one that jinxed him with that name sef) . Onuachu, tolu,awoniyi, umar sodiq, dessers, boniface etc. All these guys have been praised to the heavens and they did not delivered according to expectations. Maybe let him earn these attributes first so that you wont be disappointed.

I'm slowly getting to the point where apart from Osimhen, if I read or see Nigerian strikers scoring goals in their leagues, it doesn't move me. In short notice only the strikers, but all our players - their club performances don't move me

Because their performances are usually a flash in the pan
When they start gaining some recognition, they become lax and return to destructive habits
I said it that osimhen ia the only player in the Super eagles with the discipline and hunger to remain world class for a large part of his career

See this is why turkey will continue to snatch our players. Galatasaray won't believe their luck if they get him. It sounds almost dumb the way they are not playing him. The guy get potential to play for big teams. Galatasaray may buy him for maybe 30 million and when big teams come for him home the price to 100 million and they will start complaining.
