Agreed without question but with great discontent.

Yet same Chukwueze that was a bench warmer in Villarreal was starting matches despite glaring poor games. I mean we all saw how match rusty he was

Sentiments too played a part in why Naija no go far and I foresaw it

The day we start demanding more from our players in their respective clubs the better

A victor Moses would have done far better than Chukwueze in this afcon

Let me wait for wailers to come for me grin wink

Lol...

Abeg Nigeria was the best team in this tournament, just unfortunate, meanwhile team like Tunisia and Egypt have just been fortunate....

Make una rest with north African team talk, the only north African team that has played well is Morocco, the rest have just been there, just lucky...

If world cup is ever coming to Africa, it's a west African team that will bring it, just that corruption in federation and caf will not let us do well...

It's sad how we just go to world to make up numbers, every time and same will probably happen this year again.

Bros, if luck and fortune will take me far in afcon, I will take it over nice play or tiki taka

Because at the end of the day, it's the result that matters

So you really wanted naija to loose so you will come out with shebi I tell una ?

We lost out at the second round surprisingly, because For more than so many years at the afcon naija haven’t gone out at this round ,so I don’t understand why you are saying you predicted naija to be kicked out at this round ,deep down you know you are lying to yourself

But one thing about you is if naija is winning you always hide your head and wait till they lost

I always see you different from the way others see you but you are now more of a troll

I am sure you also predicted Algeria as favorite but you won’t say about that also

Enjoy your trolling jare .

Bros, I actually wanted us to win and in secret I was watching the match and jubilating at our goals.

Online trolling is just past time to me. But you people are taking it personal.

In fact I was already crafting my apology write up for this thread when Tunisia broke Naija hearts.

But you can t say I wasn't quite right. But for the Algeria mishap, all I predicted seems to be coming true so far. And to be honest, I don't quite like it because I'm a full-blooded Nigerian

Seems my predictions may come true afterall

I predicted at least 2 North-Africans in the Semis and if the West Africans slip, then it's their fault

Naija loosing out in the second round did not come as a surprise to me. I predicted that as well

Now, let the wailers cry blood

Me, I can take it. I will keep my hopes up and watch it get crushed again and again knowing that one day my hopes will be rewarded with Joy and the reality of success like it was back in 2013 but I also will keep on analysing and wanting us to critically look at our team and see how it can be better.

It's okay Elfy... we all have our ways of dealing with possible disappointments or the likes.

But don't worry, we will be back... cool

I told you all Darkelf only put up his "pessimistic" strong wall of catastrophizing as a defence mechanism against any disappointment from this team.

Those who have followed his posts keenly as Darkelf and Blueelf will understand why I never was against his trolling.

Chief Icon4s also once took a Conservative view on our team when Osimhen was still rising as the next number 9. Icons wasn't too convinced about a lot of these young lads' durability as quality talents. He knew why he took that stance. He has seen generations of talents come and go that looked like world beaters when they first arrived on the scene only to fizzle out or fail to fulfill potential. But he never took his Conservative stance far shaa... even though they sounded not too encouraging at times. grin

In a way, we kinda need some "dark views" grin from time to time to keep us grounded but deep down I knew Darkelf (aka blueelf of red merseyside) was always and firstly a Super Eagles fan.

This Pessimistic stance is just his way of dealing with the loss and disappointment we all experience as fans when our team fail to meet expectations.

Darkelf.... thanks for the clarification but please.... don't vanquish your throne. I need you on that throne abeg so that the variety will continue. And so that the Carpentry football list updates will never cease doing its work. grin

Cheers to thee, the one and the only Elf of Darkness....

My guy my guy

Nerdie, you really understand me

I don't ever want to be disappointed again by the SE

That's why I don't keep my hopes up and think about the worst case scenario each game

I really wanted SE to win but guess what, my heart will heal easily because I have prepared it for the worst possible scenario and I mouthed it here often so we could prepare our hearts should in case it turns out badly

Guess I was right after all. But it is painful to be right

Now, listen. For those that have known me here for the past 7 years on this thread, I don't hype any player or group of players. I am usually conservative with my expectations. Infact, I have always mentioned that this current generation of SE is the weakest

However, knowing the kind of Pedigree we have as a footballing nation in Africa, I will always expect us to do well in every AFCON, even in the next edition. Yes that is always my expectation. Irrespective of the quality of team we present, we are NIGERIA!

The way you celebrated our loss yesterday, I doubt you celebrated our group stage wins.
You called me an old man in your other post and so let me give you an elderly advice. Defeat in life starts from the mind. When you so magnify your challenges and obstacles, dwelling so much on them and paying little attention to your strength or abilities, you are bound to get overwhelmed or not even make any attempts.

There are lots of positives to take from the 4 matches we played at this AFCON.

WE MOVE.

Noted Sir

I apologize for the harsh words directed.

But I must let you know something Smir and this is from my heart, I actually mean no harm by my antics here. But I feel the rest of the members of this thread are taking my antics a bit too far.

See, I was disappointed deep down when th our performance. I actually wanted the SE to prove me wrong. I would've delivered my public apology here without mincing words.

See, you people shouldn't take my banters personal. Because they are just that - banters.

But if I went too far, then sorry but please life doesn't begin and end with the SE. The way some of you guys started calling me failure in real life promoted my continual rejoicing. No need insulting one another over a team that doesn't know of our existence individually.

My apologies Sir

Honestly you are a case
Why on earth the defeat of the eagles gives you joy and relevance despite you being an "eagles fan" is what I'm yet to know. Atleast with Gustav and the other fellow we know their stand. Even the southies and ghananains that come here to fight are not this negative. If your own aim coming here is to ridicule our chances and spelling doom for our chances is what you can offer, are you a super eagles fan at all?. You are not the only one with concerns about the team and our chances in this tourney. Even the purple guy expressed caution with the way we were hyping the team but it didn't stop him from celebrating with us. I can't tell you what to do but this one no be am at all.

Bros before this tourney, Vicmo was our most in-form winger. I shouted and shouted for his inclusion. Why can't NFF let bygone be bygones. The same Chukwueze that was starting was a bench warmer in Villarreal. So I'm not surprised he played like a pregnant cow. grin

Sorry if my words sound offensive

Bros, I trolled even when we won

I told them to curb their enthusiasm and that it was still a long road ahead

You can see my older posts

It wasn't a prediction of doom. Remember how we even struggled to qualify. That was what informed my predictions. We lay at home to CAR and struggled against much weaker teams. That doesn't inspire confidence now Dora it?
