Christianity EtcYour Parents Or Your Church, Who Should Have Your 1st Salary? by daroz(op): 5:48am On Nov 22, 2015
This question just popped out cos a friend of mine is about to receive his very first real salary. He was trained by his parents up to the university level, they still take care of him and infact he still live in their house. There is a strong tradition in the house whereby the first salary of anybody in the house is submitted to the family who now in return give the person back a small token to live on till his next salary.

However, he also belong to a church whereby they have a strong tradition where the 1st salary of members belong to the church. To crown it all, the church is also instrumental to his securing this job, which is a very good one . Unfortunately, the parents don't share that ideology and they don't belong to the same church.

So, he is now in a state of dilemma, not knowing what to do. He contacted me for advice, but I too don't know what to advice. I don't want to advice him to disobey his parents, neither will i tell him to disobey his church.
So what will you advice?

I will like to refer him to this post, mod pls help me out.
Do the needful.

PRISTINEMUSCLES:
Nice one at least you are trying to revv up your physique. But like i will always tell any beginner, stay off machines and focus more on free weights(barbells and dumbbells). Those machines do not hit the muscles as much as free-weights does.
Even professional body-builders do not centre their training on machines, they finish with it.
Thanks for ur advice.
But I have a professional trainer/instructor and he guides me through all the process and machines. Each of those machines all have their uniqueness. But at times goes on we will focus more on some than others, so he says.

Is it you that sponsored the protest? In Benin we respect elder statesmen, chiefs and elders. Tell Oshiomole to do same and see if all this protest will be seen.
Talking about respect, has Igbinadion been respecting the Benin tradition and the monarch so far? Abeg park well jor.

Besides are you more bini than I am?

Engineer96:
I took part in the lecture series.
To the best of my understanding, one lecturer spoke to students and Nigerian youths and the other spoke to Nigeria politicians.
Musuluni from Uganda spoke to Nigerian youths while Gov Oshiomole spoke to politicians politically.
while Musuluni admonished us to to find something to do instead of waiting for the political class. He defined an entrepreneur as someone who solves a problem for a fee. He also advocated for the gap between classrooms and fields of work to be bridged.
He informed us that someone who has an MBA and has not managed any business before or during the MBA programme as have wasted time in school. He said that a lecturer who has degrees upon degrees without impacting on the society in the way of empowering the youths is not better than someone who has a first school leaving and has employed the youths.
Gov Oshiomole on the other hand dished out figures and agreed that our GDP has been growing between 5-8% even more at some point but much had been stolen.
He canvassed for the payment of tax by every private jet owners in Nigeria.
He spoke on Unemployment and Inequality and concluded by telling us that Nigeria has enough for every Nigerian and advocated for for a progressive property tax to bridge the inequality gap between the rich and the poor.
Thanks for the summary.

Just as the guy above me have said, maybe they are from Benin republic, and not Benin city, cos these dont look like binis to me.

And even if they are from benin city, is there any indication to show they are bini by tribe?. We have different tribes living freely in Benin city, claiming Bini, including Igbos.

BONUS: Fact — heat will ruin a battery.

The truth: This is absolutely true. Heat and tech don't generally go hand-in-hand, and that's no different with phone batteries.

Lithium-ion batteries heat themselves, and get hotter while they're being charged. Cold weather can also have a negative impact on a phone's life, and a cold battery will die faster than usual in low temperatures.

Your phone will be safe if you keep it within its recommended temperatures; Apple says 32 degrees Fahrenheit is the lowest recommended temperature for an iPhone's environment. Samsung, on the other hand, guarantees its phones can function anywhere between -4 and 122 degrees.
PhonesRe: 5 Phone Charging Myths, Debunked by daroz(op): 5:11am On Nov 02, 2015
Myth 4: You don't need to turn your phone off — ever.

The truth: Your phone may be a machine, but it still needs to take a few breaks. An Apple Geniussaid that in order to maximize battery life, you should turn off your phone from time to time, especially when you go to bed at night.

At the very least, Apple experts recommend turning your phone off once a week in order to preserve battery life.

Turning off your phone is important for Android devices as well. A simple reboot can help restore battery life.

Myth 5: Don't charge your phone until it's completely dead.

The truth: It's better to charge your phone every day than to do a "deep charge" from time to time.

Lithium-ion batteries, like the kind used inSamsung and Apple products fare better when they're charged. If you constantly let them drainto 0%, they become unstable. Your battery has a finite number of charge cycles, and every time it fully dies, that's another cycle out the window.
