The Inspector general of the Nigeria Police Solomon Arase has ordered all zonal/regional Commissioners of Police & other officers to arrest anybody at all that is caught selling any form of petroleum products in plastic containers (jerrycans). Read the Press statement below..





“IGP ORDERS THE ARREST, PROSECUTION OF PERSONS HOARDING AND DIVERTING PETROLEUM PRODUCTS

Further to the Nigeria Police Force directives on the activities of unscrupulous elements who engage in illegal sale of petroleum products, there is need to make some clarification that the directive was specifically targeted at those who are involved in hoarding and diverting the petroleum products.

However, those with genuine intention to use the products for their legal and genuine business are allowed to purchase the products.

The IGP emphasized that no stone will be left unturned by the Police to checkmate those with the attitude of causing discomfort to the innocent citizens in the country.”

During the meeting held yesterday by His excellency President Buhari and the other 36 governors , 64yr old Governor Adams Oshiomole of Edo state has laid very strong allegations on former President Goodluck Jonathan of starving APC governors of legitimate funds while he was president;

Under the last president, it would have been impossible for us to approach Abuja to give us support because we have personal challenges. And regardless of our political affiliation, this is very important… everybody is able to ask this president to give him support and he is giving. President Buhari yesterday mapped out all Payments of medical bill for Government officials when ever they travel abroad.. The Logistics manager for Boko Haram has been arrested by Troops after they rushed to villages close to Sambisa forest, when goodhearted Nigerians alerted them of hearing very loud explosions near Dikwa this morning, Wednesday 27th April 2016,
The troops of 22 Brigade embarked on a patrol to Ajiri and Antul villages, South East of Dikwa along Dikwa-Gulumbagana road.

The team made contact with Boko Haram logistics elements who specialised in using the 2 villages as major base for food storage, and other logistics before moving them to Bama and then to Sambisa forest. In the encounter, 5 Boko Haram terrorists were arrested comprising 3 adults and 2 minors.

The under aged male children were dressed in Boko Haram uniforms. The troops recovered 1 truck, 2 Golf cars painted in mud, 4 bicycles and 3 x 5kva power generating set, as well as 55 bags of corn.
