It's amazing how Nigeria has turned out to be, the extent some people would go just to get money from others...there's no shame anymore because they've been blinded by these begging schemes which sometimes appears legal to them. So a few days ago, I boarded a bus from Berger heading to the island and as was usual i had to sit for over an hour...Anyways whilst listening to some jams from my phone whilst waiting for the bus to get full I noticed this very beautiful lady and the baby tied to her back; yes o she was beautiful even without makeup in a country where our beauty surgeons like auntie Shomya and auntie BMpro can turn you from being just beautiful to a Goddess beyond recognition with some touches.. So Miss beautiful tried to get on to the bus but dang!! Why did she have to act so careless, she didn't care if her baby's head was hitting the door frames as she was trying to get in ..but she finallyvsits somewhere close to the door, as soon as she did the conductor came out from nowhere saying "madam you no go fit sit down there..conductor dey there and e no go dey comfortable "
Miss beautiful flared up and started shouting "I can sit anywhere I want..is it your body? " she shouted and went down from the bus ..then later on came back .

Strike One: The call for attention



Other passengers from the bus started talking and explaining to her that for the sake of her baby she should sit at the back..(I bet she enjoyed this attention she was getting , being beautiful and being the center of Berger attraction..everyone trying to talk to her )

Strike Two: setting the bait
Miss beautiful tried getting on to the bus again, and this time it was worse ..she kept entering with the baby girls head hitting the door frames...*i can't remember how many times I shouted ouch* and I wanted to say something but the words just kept coming out through someone else..the man who sat behind her ..Miss Beautiful gave it to the man "is it your baby? How do you mean I can't take care of my baby? Are you the one who carried her for 9 months "haba!! Miss beautiful was saying irrelevant things when all the people where doing was show concern ...she was all Mad and Furious ..the next thing I heard shocked me



"is it your baby? How do you mean I can't take care of my baby? Are you the one who carried her for 9 months"
Strike Three: Signs of Rudeness
"Auntie please can you help me with 200 Naira" all the way from the third row to the first row ...Jesus! "I am not begging o ...so don't think I'm begging you for money , I only want 200 Naira to complete my fare"...I just needed her to be calm and really I was willing to help too..but I didn't know that was just the beginning ...that's how Miss Beautiful went on to ask another lady for 500 Naira !! I couldn't believe my eyes ..how did she even get so confident in being so rude and adamant...this was robbery in broad day light ..I regretted later on giving her that money ..cos what happened next wouldn't have happened because she wouldn't have been in this vehicle with me.

Strike Four: Ultimate Quest

Hmmm I finally thought it was over...we were beginning to have some peace at last..No ohh !! The lady was like Donald Trump ..never wanting to give up. Now it was her baby ...the little girl stared crying all of a sudden which was rather usual but we expected her to have a means in which she could make her stop, but no ...she cried the more!! Some other passengers said they caught her pinching the baby so she would cry out! Hmm poor girl..what has she done to come into the work to suffer like this ... Another concerned passenger begged her to soothe her or give her food ...she started lamenting " I have not eaten o, we have both not eaten anything since morning and the father is not around , so she would not stop crying now ..hmm ."Madam please do what you can to make her stop I promise I would give you some food and other things for her " wow!!! jackpot !! At last she got it ...all the drama, the baby hitting her head, the seat and conductor drama, the transport robbery, and all...I bet she's moving on to another bus..so guys be careful of this new scheme, if you see this sort of thing ignore them or take them to the right authorities if you can ..these beggars are everywhere and they are out to get those die from you !! They don't care to know if you swear your ass out every morning to night ..they don't care if you sleep on a mat ...just to save some money to make that investment or probably you drink garri with groundnut ..they are only concerned with what they can get from you ...

I do pray they start getting tax from these beggars on the street because it seems it's turned into a corporate thing.. From people pretending to be deaf n dumb, fake pastors, fake illness reports , I lost my transport scheme. Like seriously ..it's sickening and sad ..God help us .

Common now..lets not blame the girl entirely, but you know how security conscious Nigerian's are with the whole kidnapping, killings , bombings ..you wouldn't blame a girl if she brings a watchdog with her just to be on the safe side..seeing she's just meeting the guy for the first time; the point is when a naija girl tells you she's bringing a friend know she might not be bringing just one ...but also let her know what's up with the payment ..are we going Dutch (50-50), more or less splitting the bills.


2) The reserved ones n girlies love to go the movies whilst the other go getters would prefer dinner at a Chinese restaurant and the razz ones would order pizzas from dominos and wine and take it somewhere else to eat, or have burgers in the car whilst listening to John legend.

Anyways my concern is what is it with Nigerian girls and cinema's and first dates, they keep acting like English synonyms and mathematical symmetrical lines . Haba!! Okay I get its an open place and you can't really get away with doing anything stupid but is that really the only first place..what happened to live band music or comedy shows...going to watch a play at terra kulture. (Thanks to Bolanle Austine Peters)..much respect to that one.


3)Their Outfits ..common now I get you want to make a very good first date impression but you really don't have to look overdressed- what do I mean , some girls would go on wearing a six inches Louboutin heels and end up walking funny ..oops* I meant ridiculously funny..lol. While some end up wearing dresses like they were being nominated for the AMVCA's ..chances are if you put so much effort like that, you're likely to get stood up or you'd waiting for an extra hour before he shows up..so look simple but don't look cheap or underdressed or go out in skimpy outfit, and be mistaken for a tramp. Look elegant but gracefully so you can easily take the exit n call an UBER Incase the date doesn't happen .


4) They Blow their dates to the whole country...Twitter and everyone on it would definitely know they are going out, especially if the guy is cute ..probably that's what happened to our Facebook user that was featured on instablog9ja , she didn't let her colleagues et a breathing space, she was doing tatafo..so they all wanted to come see for themselves this guy she has been hyping ..and dang!! Embarrassment blew up in there faces..so you've got date ..Nobody needs to know..well maybe just one friend or your mama !! You really have to be careful , a lotta jealous folks out there too, who'd be willing to have your piece of cake ..so chill and take things at a time , you can introduce them when you're familiar with the new guy. Capiche ?



5) Lastly.. some naija girls always have the tendency to blab so much about their personal life from past relationships to family drama's . God!! You're not even sure if he's gonna last longer than 2weeks and here you are spilling, and later you wonder how someone in sokoto got to find out about your story.....just fill him on the basics ..and see how far your relationship takes you.

Oh wow what can i say....the beat was sick!! i was dancing from the 20th second of the video...and i must say the girl is cute. Mehnn don't get me started on the whole matchmaking concept, lol. Its not everyday you see a nigerian dating site and boom! your celebrity crush appears on one of the profiles, that must be some jackpot yeah? Imagine if you got to see Genevieve, Rita Dominic, Adesua Etomi or you see Uti, Daniel K. Daniel on Gidimatchmaker..that would be a dream never come true so chill.

As i started, i thought oh well...this scene looks like "50 shades of grey" the part where she sat across him and was about to conduct an interview (the innocence and the looks).

I never knew officials gossiped... But Recently David Cameron, the Prime Minister of Britain, was doing some tatafo to the Queen saying Nigeria is “fantastically corrupt”. Some of you may choose to deny this or might prefer to see David Cameron as pot calling kettle black seeing he is as corrupt as the word CORRUPT.

These examples below happens everyday in the society , maybe not to you but to others and it screams 'fantastically corrupt' to the world .
1) When you try to have your baby delivered in a Nigerian hospital...You can’t escape the nurses, matrons and the security men at the gate who upon hearing that your wife had been delivered of a baby would start greeting you: “Oga we go wash am oh.” The really smart ones among them will even poke your ego a little: “Oga, this one wey Madam deliver bom boy, na big celebration. Oga you sef na sharp shooter. You just do am, hit am, commot bom boy”.

Like seriously, tell me what other country that happens in? I really don't blame the folks who take their wives across the shores to give birth ..where you know you won't be asked for bribe just for giving birth...if you think it's just giving birth, Naa dying is also part.

2) If you have to bury anyone in Nigeria, there must be a special budget for officials and sympathizers whose palms have to be greased...it's more or less an opportunity for scammers to rip people off their money
For instance, a beggar insisted that since the deceased was his benefactor, he would really love to die too, and jump into the grave, but everyone at the funeral would do well to keep him alive by putting something in his pocket. People laughed and obliged. While others go around robbing people of phones and personal items .
Common why do you go to funerals to make others feel depressed .

3)Every foreigner or traveller who has walked through any Nigerian port in the last, say 40 years, would most certainly have been asked for a bribe, not clandestinely, but openly and frontally: “Oga wey the dollar for the boys? Oyinbo, correct oyinbo, we dey here for you oh. Anything. Nigeria na your own. If you wan be Governor sef, just call us, or this my oga.” If the visitor is one of those difficult ones who do not know that a passport in Nigeria is supposed to be a sandwich at the point of entry and he is busy claiming that he has one funny visa, before he knows it, he will be detained.

4)Bomboclats can’t access government institutions either. You have to know someone who knows someone who knows another person at the top...or else You have to bribe every government official in sight: to move a file, to get anything done, to have your rights respected.

5)And you can’t hold government positions. You are expected to steal government funds and make returns to the community otherwise you are considered a bad or stupid person, who can’t eat national cake. Fantastic? Yes.

These petty corruptions are everywhere , in our schools ...in our work places ...the mind has been damaged . It needs an urgent fix before you know it's an African country calling us highly corrupt.

The Lagos State Government says it generated a total revenue of N101.69bn in the first quarter of 2016 out of which a surplus of N4.85bn was realized as against an expected N29.92bn deficit. Read the statement from the government detailing its revenue generation below...



The Lagos State Government generated a total revenue of N101.69bn in the first quarter of 2016 out of which a surplus of N4.85bn was realized as against an expected N29.92bn deficit, the State’s Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Akinyemi Ashade said on Monday.

Speaking at the ongoing Ministerial Press Briefing held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, Ikeja to commemorate Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s first year in office, Ashade said the generated revenue was above that of 2015 which stood at N97.28bn in the first quarter, adding that in absolute terms, the revenue performance was N4.4bn more than comparative period of 2015.

Ashade said the remarkable feat was achieved despite the diminishing statutory allocation from the federation account, adding that same was due to Governor Ambode’s purposeful and visionary leadership.

He expressed optimism that with the implementation of multiple revenue collection channels and broadening of the revenue base, the State Government would achieve tremendous progress in its revenue drive.

Giving a detailed breakdown of the budget performance, the Commissioner said N76.06bn was the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the State in the first quarter representing 72 percent of the estimate for the quarter and 75 percent of the total revenue, as against the N67.21bn generated in first quarter of 2015 representing 74 percent of the estimate and 69 percent of the total revenue in the corresponding period for last year.

He said the Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) revenue for the first quarter of 2016 stood at N67.25bn representing 90 percent estimate for the quarter and 88 percent of the total IGR and 66.12 percent of the total revenue, compared to N60.58bn (87 percent of the estimate for Q1 Y2015), representing 90 percent of total IGR and 62 percent of total revenue in 2015.

“This performance was N6.67bn more in absolute terms compared to corresponding period in Y2015 and due largely to more participatory structural and systemic re-engineering.

“Over the course of the first quarter of Y2016, Federal transfers contributed N25.64bn (83 percent of the estimate for the quarter) and accounted for 25.21 percent of total revenue. Further breakdown showed that statutory allocations contributed N7.48bn while VAT contributed N18.16bn,” Ashade said.

Speaking on performance of capital expenditures for the period under review, the Commissioner explained that in the regard, the government expended N48.88bn on capital projects which represented a 51 percent better performance of N15.08bn (24 percent) as at the first quarter of 2015.

He also revealed that as at the end of first quarter of 2016, the ratio of capital expenditures to recurrent expenditures closed at 50:50, better than a ratio of 21:79 recorded for the same period in 2015 but short of the ratio of 58:42 projected for 2016.

He, however, expressed optimism that capital expenditure performance would experience significant improvement in the second quarter of 2016 based on the projections and expectations of revenue inflows.

Ashade, whose Ministry is also responsible for managing the State’s existing relationships with development partners as well as identify new potential ones to drive further development, disclosed that the State Government has gone into partnership with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to invest in a possible monorail project that will link Marina to Oniru in Victoria Island and Ikoyi, and later connect to the Lekki Rail Line project which is also in the works.

He clarified that the monorail project is an urban mass transportation project different from the ongoing Blue Line Rail project that will connect Mile 12 to CMS, and the Red Line Rail Project.

According to him: “A detailed feasibility study has been commissioned on the monorail project to validate the initial survey, which will eventually lead to an investment of US$1billion (about N300billion) in the project if the results of the feasibility study are positive, amongst other conditions.”

Ashade further disclosed that under the Eko Urban Project, the State Government, in partnership with the Agence Francaise De Development (AFD) would soon embark on the upgrade of slums in Amukoko in Ajeromi/Ifelodun Local Government Area of the State and Ilaje-Bariga in Bariga Local Council Development Area of the State, as well as the provision of modern waste disposal facility in Epe.

He said projects would soon take off as the AFD has already committed a US$100m loan for the projects, while the State Executive Council has equally approved the upgrade of the slums.

According to The Sun, one of them walked towards the team and popped the question: “Please who do you want to see?”

He was told that the team was going see a resident of the estate, but he demanded that the person should be called on the phone before the team would be granted entry.

When the many pleas of the team fell on deaf ears, The Sun crew then disclosed its mission: to see Tiwa Savage. A

nd that instantly made him very unfriendly, and asked to know whether there was an appointment with her.

“Oga, you can’t see anyone in this estate except you call the person on phone and he or she must tell us to allow you in. Every occupant has their instruction and Tiwa Savage has given us instruction not to let anybody that comes to look for her into the estate without her permission,” the gatekeeper said with a tone of finality.

After the encounter with the gatekeeper, The Sun crew struck up a conversation with a middle-aged man seen some meters away from the gate, wanting to ascertain whether the songstress actually lives in the estate. He said:


“I am allowed to enter this estate because I work there. Tiwa Savage stays here but I haven’t seen her since the information about her marriage crisis went viral on the internet. I got to know about it like every other person.

“I saw her with her husband in December last year inside a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV. Her husband was driving the vehicle out of the estate. Sometimes when I see her, I will wave at her and she would wave back. Apart from that, I don’t have a personal relationship with her.

The worker explained that some other artistes also live in the estate: “Tiwa Savage is not the only artiste staying in this estate.

We have Iyanya, Timaya, MI, AY (comedian) and others living here. Even TuFace Idibia has a house here and his wife, Annie Macaulay comes here regularly. “Some occupants of the estate bought land and built duplexes on it while others bought semi-detached duplex from the company that manages the estate.”

Tiwa savage husband may spend one year in prison??


Teebillz is likely to spend one year in prison after his attempt to jump off Lekki Ikoyi toll bridge in Lagos, because he said he couldn't bear the pains he was passing through with his wife Tiwa Savage, which is direct opposite of what Tiwa said..



According to the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Section 327 of the Nigerian Criminal Code states that "Any person who attempts to kill himself is guilty of a misdemeanour and liable to imprisonment for 1 year".
Teebillz attempted committing suicide on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at the Ikoyi-Lekki bridge in Lagos, where he was miraculously saved by Banky W, and Psquare..
A lawyer explained that no one has been convicted for attempted suicide. However, Teebillz might be on his way to become the first, It possible you know..
"such cases are usually handled by medical personnel who assess the mental state of the individual and try to offer treatment for depression and other mental disorders."
Teebillz was reported to be likely to get a pardon for his alleged use of cocaine.
"Most legal systems focus on possession or possession with the intention to distribute. So it would be more defamatory than actionable for someone to make such accusations in the media since he who alleges must prove".
