STRONG indications emerged from the Monday meeting by President Goodluck Jonathan, President Goodluck Jonathan and governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP that governors Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State and Jonah Jang of Plateau State who both chair two Secretariats of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF will step down.

According to a source at the meeting which took place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Amaechi who emerged as Chairman of the NGF for his second term in May after an election held at the Rivers State Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja after scoring 19 votes to defeat Jang of Plateau State who polled 16 votes will drop the position as well as Jang for peace to return to the family of the party.

The surge of electrical activity in the.brain could be responsible for the vivid experiences described by near-death survivors, scientists report.

A study carried out on dying rats found high levels of brainwaves at the point of the animals' demise. US researchers said that in humans this could give rise to a heightened state of consciousness. The research is published in the Proceedings of the National
Academy of Sciences .

From bright white lights to out-of-body sensations and feelings of life flashing before their eyes, the experiences reported by people who have come close to death but
survived are common the world over.

However, studying this in humans is a challenge, and these visions are little understood. To find out more, scientists at the University of Michigan monitored nine rats as they were dying. In the 30-second period after the
animal's hearts stopped beating, they measured a sharp increase in high-frequency brainwaves called
gamma oscillations.

These pulses are one of the neuronal features that are thought to underpin consciousness in humans,
especially when they help to "link" information from different parts of the brain.
In the rats, these electrical pulses were found at even higher levels just after the cardiac arrest than when animals were awake and well.

"[But] we should be extremely cautious before drawing any conclusions about human near-death experiences: it is one thing to
measure brain activity in rats during cardiac arrest, and quite another to relate that to human experience."

1. Wigan have a really poor record in matches against Man United. In their past 10 meetings, they have won only 1 of those matches and lost the other nine.

2. Man Utd are known for starting the seasons poorly, but picking up all along and ending the second-half of the season strongly. Hence, they are called the Second-half Kings. So, saying their reign is over is far too premature. In spite of their slow starts, they have won more Community Shields than any other club, which makes them historical favourites against any club in English football.

3. And Finally, Sentiments ruin the pure essence of football. We must sllow football speak for itself and not disfigure the unity in the game. I know it's an irony for a Chelsea supporter to Update a Man Utd game in their favour, but the spirit of sportmanship and the love of football couldn't have a better definition. Be Passionate, not Condemning.. ENJOY!!

First of all history does not play football. Secondly that you were called Second-half kings under Ferguson does not mean it will continue under Moyes who doesn't know what it's like to challenge for a major trophy. And finally, Wigan is not as weak as they sound. They might be playing in the Championship right now, but that does not mean that they should be taken lightly. Remember that they beat Manchester City to get to this stage.
