I keep wondering why a great majority of people don't usually pray to God in any language other than English. I've noticed this in school fellowships and almost all the Pentecostal Churches that I have been to. The only time that I see people pray in native languages is during indigenous services in Catholic and Anglican Churches. And don't come here giving excuses that it's because you want people around you to understand what you are saying. A lot of people who pray alone and aloud do so in English , moreover prayer is between you and God and you shouldn't bother if the person next to you understands what you are saying or not. |

Which kin comparison be this one? How can you compare sachet water with table water? |

I'm upgrading the looks of the blog that's why I've not posted a new topic for a while now, but it's still far from a finished product |
Authorities in New Zealand have told a South African chef he is too fat to be allowed to live in the country. Immigration officials said Albert Buitenhuis, who weighs 130kg (286 pounds), did not have "an acceptable standard of health". He now faces expulsion despite shedding 30kg since he moved to the city of Christchurch six years ago. New Zealand has one of the highest obesity rates in the developed world, with nearly 30% of people overweight. Mr Buitenhuis and his wife, Marthie, moved from South Africa to Christchurch in 2007. At the time, the chef weighed 160kg. Until now, their annual work visas had been renewed with "very little problem", his wife said. "We applied year after year and there were no issues," she said. "They never mentioned Albert's weight or his health once and he was a lot heavier then." But in early May, the couple was told their work visas had been declined because of Mr Buitenhuis's weight. "The irony is that at the moment he weighs less than when we first arrived in New Zealand and also less than in his first medical, which was accepted by [immigration authorities]," his wife said. The couple has appealed to New Zealand's immigration minister, citing the chef's recent weight loss. An immigration spokesman said Mr Buitenhuis's application had been rejected because his obesity put him at "significant risk" of complications including diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. "It is important that all migrants have an acceptable standard of health to minimise costs and demands on New Zealand's health services," he said. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-23475583 |
See insult. My guy you don fall hand. Anyway I'm not surprised. That's what a state of emergency entails |
I missed the friendly with the Indonesian XI that was why I was not able to run a live match thread on it. I promise I'll run a live match thread for our next preseason friendly. I think our next match is with Inter Milan in the US if I'm not mistaking. |
Wow! Wonderful actress. One of the pioneers of Nollywood. |
For me I think it's either the Simpsons, Tom and Jerry or Family Guy. But I think I'd have to guy with the Simpsons. I laugh every 60 seconds whenever I'm watching it. Everything about the show is so unique from the theme song to their guest stars to how they parody things happening in the society. Left to me I'd say that it's the funniest cartoon ever. What other cartoon readily comes to mind? |
Why is Prof. Chukwuma Soludo not here? Has he not declared yet or is he waiting to contest for the Presidency? Anyway I will never vote for Ngige cos of his ACN platform. I don't want Anambra to be a Yoruba-annex state. I will go for Senator Andy Uba. |
Very nice. I knew that hospital when it was like a village maternity home some 3-4 years ago. I'm really impressed. Kudos governor Obi. |

I know this topic will make the front page in the morning so make I book my space sharp sharp. I will come back and comment later. Please let me know when it does by liking this. Now I can talk. My own be say this ASUU too dey give trouble. They've been on strike annually since 2001. It's either an increment in their salaries or an increment in their retirement age. Abeg make them go sit down and stop frustrating students for their selfish interests. |

Where I stay they always give excuses that their lines or whatever break down each time there is a downpour. So each time it rains we don't expect to see light for the next 24 hours. |
Why is this topic such a divisive one in Nigeria? If they want to marry themselves, fine. Everyone has his or her own burdens to bear and decisions to take. If they decide that marrying themselves is the best for them, let them have their way. If in the end it turns out that this gay stuff is wrong they would have only themselves to blame. |
coogar: you could get crucified on this thread for the above blasphemy. demba ba? the messiah? everyone minus nateevs and jackbauerballs believe demba ba would break messi's record of 70+ goals next season. ![]() |
1. Too many gadgets. Ur viewers will be tagged to load and reload those polls, tags, and other gadgets everytime Its a turn off!2. Scanty posts. Since you have chosen Chelsea as the main club, there is no reason why the posts wont be scanty. Another reason why you have scanty pageviews. I have so far been able to boast of 580 pageviews (since july7) even with the pace of my writing. Write more! Even about other clubs and players. More to come.......
580 pageviews since July 7? Well i've had 470 pageviews since July 17. The blog is barely a week old. Some of what you said are insightful though |
Emmadani: 3 strikas sef is 2much,its vry hard 4 mourinho to have 3 strikas in his team and use those 3 strikas. If morinho buys rooney just know dat 2 strikas go sit 4 bench tire...!Even when drogba dey chelsea, even 4 carling cup, mourinho go stil use drogba,he go stil use his 1st team.Mourinho no get tym 4 nonsence.2 strikas is enough o,even schurrle can stil play as a strika. If morinho buys rooney witout selling any strika, pple go sit down 4 bench like say 2moro no dey o.I think Demba Ba should be sold. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their son George Alexander Louis, Kensington Palace has said. The third in line to the throne, who was born on Monday, will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. It is thought the Queen was told of Prince George's name when she met him for the first time on Wednesday. The family are at the Middleton home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, after spending a night at Kensington Palace. George was the bookmakers' favourite for the first name of the prince. The Duke and Duchess had been expected to pick a traditional royal name for their son, who was born at St Mary's Hospital in London at 16:24 BST, weighing 8lbs 6oz. Royal infants usually have historical names which are passed down through the generations. There have been six King George's up to now, most recently the Queen's father, although he was known to his family as Bertie. BBC royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell said Alexander was said to be a favourite of Catherine's, while Louis is William's fourth name. This is a relatively quick announcement of a name compared with previous royal babies. It was seven days before the name of a newborn Prince William was announced in 1982, and there was a wait of a month following the Prince Charles's birth in 1948. All births in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, regardless of parentage, must be registered within 42 days at the hospital before leaving or a register office. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/200/media/images/68924000/jpg/_68924395_baby_william_afpgetty.jpg https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/200/media/images/68912000/jpg/_68912642_18uipw1m.jpg http://bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23443504 |
The top match in Peru’s first division this weekend was suspended in the 82nd minute after the home team manager decided a missed offside call was enough reason to go strangle a match official. Melgar and Universitario were tied at 2 when the linesman judged a Melgar player’s run to be just offside, wasting a clear goal-scoring opportunity. The entire Melgar bench jumped up to confront the official, but team manager Franco Navarro took things a bit too far. Pretending he is Kane (if you don’t know Kane, we feel sorry for you, he's a WWE wrestler), Navarro went straight for the referee’s throat before being wrested away by teammates. Riot police were actually called on to remove Navarro from the scene, and moments later the referee decided to call the game off. Needless to say, Navarro now faces a hefty punishment from both the league and the authorities. |
Little wonder many of them fade into oblivion and retire in their early thirties. How many of them can play when they are 36 years old the way Zidane played in the 2006 World Cup and almost became the World Footballer of the year if not for that ugly incident with Materazzi? How many of them can score 16 league goals in a season when they are 35 like Lampard? |
