This is an example of the non virgin with good character in the other thread.

Lots of men who go for these kind of good character, will end up with category A single mothers.

Category b single mothers keep their child and I respect them for that. Category A, remove their own.

Asides a girl who was forcefully defiled, where is the good character in having sex with someone whom you are not married to?

A restaurant that allows cockroaches to enter their food b4 customers pay for it, is that a good restaurant? Even if the restaurant has good ambience and aesthetics, will a right thinking person go there to pay for a food that cockroaches just entered ? Or the one that seals the food tight.

I prefer a restaurant without good ambience but covered meal. Boys and girls should be taught to close their legs till marriage

I don't think Abacha was as bad as they made us believe. If bread can be 10 Naira under Abacha who was seen as bad, how come that same bread is 400 Naira under a good government ? Or is someone deceiving us?

You're talking as if Liverpool did not contend for the title several times with Klopp in charge finishing second on two or three occasions. Infact the Klopp and Guardiola rivalry was far tougher than Guardiola and Arteta's contest, even Pep himself alluded that Klopp is one of his greatest rival in his coaching career.
Don't mind him. He is joking. When did Arterta join the party. Arteta is the commercial interruption here.

The reason wages are low in most African countries is because we are not productive enough, we don't trade more finished goods with wealtheir countries and we are too populated. Wages are also low in Vietnam, Indonesia and India. Three countries characterised with high populations. The difference is that those countries especially Vietnam strive to attract foreign investmenet to produce finished goods. They too, the Vietnamese, produce finished goods and export to wealthier nations. Vietnam did $1.1BN in cassava exports to China. Nigeria no reach half, but we are the world's biggest grower of the crop.

You don't have to save 1m from a 70K salary. You increase your skills so you earn more, then save your higher earnings and set aside higher sums into pension, stocks and insurance.

So now that we know that the government has its fault in not promoting trade, why have too many children? Did Tinubu say people should have 500 children? Tinubu himself does not have 500 children.
Have you seen anybody with 100 children? Let's assume you are used hyperbole, it still doesn't answer my question. I gave an example on a man, his wife and one child earning 140k combined. Can that money feed them and cloth them and pay rent in a decent place? Too much population is no excuse for not paying the qualified ones, a living wage. You talked about increasing skills as if it will lead to automatic salary increase. With our current population and our earnings, we can pay a living wage. The monies that could have gone round, are in people's private foreign accounts. The idea that we are not productive enough is not true. How do you define being productive? Because we don't produce finished goods? What about our services, what about our raw materials? Do you know how much we made from Gold and other minerals? Even oil do you know? A man has 20 children and he makes 20 million a month and he is telling you that the man who makes 5m monthly with 5 children is richer

Let us stop pushing the blames all the time down the road to government.
No matter how we dress it, Parents have a sizeable role in Poverty continuation.
If your earnings is 70k per month, then IF you are going to marry, you will have to marry a working woman.
You shouldn't birth MORE than 1 kid....NO EXCUSES for this.
Pull resources with your wife to have alternative source of income.
Save and invest it over time and you are expected to be far better in future to were you started from.
I understand your point and i am not pushing all the blame to the Government but the bulk is on their table. Going by what you said, if you earn 70k and you marry a hardworking woman who earn 100k. It is not so good for your wife to earn more than you but they won't teach you in school. . Let's assume you both have 170k. Do you think 170k will take care of you and your wife with one child in this present economy? Lol. The reason I will always add African governments is that the wages they set are poverty cycle wages and their policies are poverty escalation policies You can't grow plants no matter how much of a skillful farmer you are when the field is not fertile. If aged people have homes like in Europe and Government feeds them, will they depend much on you? Have you seen any home for elderly people in Africa? The Government knows that some pple are exceptional and will earn more money regardless, so they want the old parents to feed from the income of such ones so they can't be too rich. Like I said, if everyone don't assist their parents, will we be happy seeing them starve to death? What is the way out of poverty when a person can't even save 1 mil in 20years from 70k salary?
FamilyRe: Black Tax: Africa’s Silent Killer Of Dreams by Datedoboy: 12:03pm On Oct 05, 2025
The major problem is that there is no proper care and continuous, reasonable monthly financial assistance for aged people in Africa. Once you're old, no African Government has a plan for you unlike Europe where you have homes for aged people. In fact many young people who japa, go to take care of aged people abroad while neglecting their parents. The issue is that, a parent that has taken care of you while you were young, will likely depend on you when old because the Government did not take care of them. If Government refuse to take care of our aged parents, and we refuse, who will take care of them? This is why politicians steal much because there are no systems to take care of them when they grow old and they refuse to set up such systems. The monster in the room is the slave wage and lack of care facilities for aged people. If you manage 3k to feed daily and we have 30 days in a month which equates to 90k asides transport and rent, and minimum wage is 70k, what does that tell you? 1. That there is a deliberate creation of poverty. 2. That people will steal more to survive and 3.people will suffer in old age because the Government has deliberately ensured that they don't save for their future. Least I forget, the passport which is your identity is now higher than the minimum wage and next year, inside that slave wage you will be taxed. Prepare for dark days ahead. Blame the Government not your poor parents

Dangote Cement, Dangote Refinery and the other Dangote companies pay above the average salary in all the sectors they operate in, and there has been few to no public complaints from their employees over the years, about poor salaries or treatment.

So those who are supporting the union on the basis that unions are essential for the protection of workers rights are overestimating the need for unions in a company such as Dangote refineries.

I prefer to queue for petrol for the next 12 months. I don't mind. Mr Dangote must not back down.

Unions of all sorts have run rings around various sectors of the economy to such extent, that they are now an obstacle to economic growth.

You can't even sell some basic products unless you join an association. If you try it, the Association will threaten you, destroy your goods, and attack you and your staff. The constitution does not provide for this kind of unionism.
I support your statement and that's my opinion too. This is a part of what kills the country. There must be freedom of association as stated in the constitution. Almost every sector in Nigeria has association and they will force you to join whereas the law did not say it's a must. Association of pepper sellers, association of garri sellers, barbers, beggars, e.t.c. Maybe there will be association of those without any association in future. The day forceful association is scrapped, Nigeria will move forward. Bodies can be formed to enforce favourable conditions for all but not forcing anyone to join an association. The law says I can choose my association and I say I don't like your association but you say I must like it. Someone is asking Nigerians not to bother about arbitrary increase in international passport price, a legitimate means of national identification simply because those that are traveling abroad have the money to pay and its not for everybody. You can imagine the upside down logic.
You're very correct my brother. That's why the country is not growing. Just leave them. When the time comes, they will learn the hard way.

Make God your best friend else you will be sorry for yourself. I don't believe in having many friends that's why I had 3 and I use to assist all of them.

One was in a position to assist me and he deliberately refused after numerous financial assistance I have given to him so i cut him off and I know God will push him into my hands someday.

The other one was trying to use jazz on me but God shocked him it didn't work so I removed him as friend in my heart even though we talk once in a while, i am waiting for the day i will expose what he did to his face.

The 3rd one is showing signs of betrayal and I am waiting for him to betray me b4 I cancel all of them.

My years of existence has taught me a bitter lesson. No so called friend is happy for you especially when you're doing better than them and even if all of you are poor, the moment one in d group makes money, he or she starts seeing you as an enemy so what's the purpose of keeping friends?

Build yourself up and have anything you want in abundance, take God as your best friend and don't depend on others. Strangers have helped me more than friends.

Politics aside as i don't support any political party. What you don't understand is that passport is not only for japa. It is a valid means of identity even in any Country. The minimum wage earners in any country in the world should be able to afford a passport. There is no country in Europe where cost of passport is greater than minimum wage. Any country that its passport cost is more than its minimum wage is a slave camp. What this means is that the Government has taken away identity of most Nigerians.

PoliticsNew Passport Price, Unjustifiable by Datedoboy(op): 10:39am On Aug 29, 2025
Hon Tunji Ojo is doing a fantastic job but must remember that a country's passport is not meant for only Japa purposes.

In Europe, passport fees are usually a tiny fraction of the monthly minimum wage. Most EU and non-EU European countries have relatively high wages compared to the cost of a passport.

Let’s check carefully:

Europe Passport Cost vs Minimum Wage (2025)
Country Minimum Wage (monthly, gross)

Passport Cost % of Wage
France €1,766 €86 ~5%
Germany~€2,100 (12.41 €/hr) ~€70 ~3%
Spain €1,134 €30 ~3%
Portugal €955 €65 ~7%
Poland ~€977 PLN 140 (~€32) ~3%
Greece ~€910 €84.40 ~9%
Netherlands €2,070 €65 ~3%
Belgium €2,029 €65 ~3%
UK (not EU) £1,900 (~€2,220) £82.50 ~4%
Bulgaria (lowest EU wage) €477 ~€50 ~10%
Romania €663 ~€60 ~9%
Hungary €710 ~€55 ~8%
Croatia €840 ~€42 ~5%
Czechia €850 ~€44 ~5%
Slovakia €750 ~€33 ~4%

There are no European countries where the cost of a passport is higher than the monthly minimum wage.

The closest cases are in Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, and Hungary, where the passport cost is 8–10% of monthly wage — but still far below the minimum wage.

Are we building a country or poverty cage? If Africa wants to develop, citizens must not save towards getting a passport. It is the major identity document for every citizen.

Going by the above statistics, The Nigerian passport should not me more than Ngn7,000.

If the price remains like this, then a very big problem has been added to other massive problems. It then means that elected officials were elected to create problems not solve them.

Nigeria is now one of the very few countries if not the only country where passport price is more than the minimum wage. In essence, for a minimum wage worker to get a passport document of his country, he needs to save for over a year. Remember, passport is not meant for only japa purposes.

Ur desperation to leave Nigeria should never entertain any form of delay from passport.
So, if u can afford to pay 10million to secure visa, is it 100m that u won't pay?
Put sentiment aside...100k is not much compared to any country in d world.
An American passport costs over $140.
So make ur comparison...
1. Passport is not only meant for Japa
2. Minimum wage in America is over $1k and passport price is $165 but in Nigeria, passport price is over minimum wage. Minimum wage 70k ngn , passport price 100k ngn.
