Barka de zuwa, Alhaji. Please go through threads from time to time and see the frustrations of Nigerian youths with our leadership and advice your friends in leadership positions to tow the path of integrity and vision. I have always maintained that the generation of our fathers (you included) failed us the younger generation, and if our youths are worse today than our fathers were, it is only because your generation did not show us any example.

We are a generation without role models
You taught us that honesty is not the best policy, corruption is.
You taught us that merit does not come before connections and nepotism, hence we have very lazy youths. What is the point of working hard when you cannot make any progress doing so?
You taught us about greed of epic proportions, where a single man embezzles money that even his fourth generation would not finish spending.
You taught us that it doesn't matter how you make your money, what matters is that you make it.

Bottomline Alhaji, your generation has failed us, and I'm not saying this as someone who is a failure. I'm saying it as someone who loves my fatherland deeply but who has to live in another man's land because my homeland is nothing to write home about. You guys should redeem yourselves - all of you who have had the opportunity to lead in Nigeria. You still have some time.

Nigeria has no excuse to still remain a third world country at this time, but persistent bad leadership has been our undoing.
I understand what you are going thru my friend the problem with nigeria is nigerians we don't support ours rather we continue applauding dos countries there is progress in nigeria look at the development we have now @ 52 years,e keep comparing our self to the us which gained independence nearly 200 years ago corruption has hindered the
development of all the sectors of
the nation’s economy. The problem
of corruption is responsible for
the decay in education, the level
of unemployment and general
poverty in the country. We must
fight this monster which has
created unemployment.
All our money
is going to
foreign banks
and is being
held hostage
there. If you
bring all that
money here it
will go a long
way in reducing
the level of
poverty. The
economy was
far better in
the Abacha
days. His
regime was not
a bad
government
contrary to
what some
people were
saying after
his death, they started to invent
lies against him.
At his death, we had $8, 9 billion
as foreign reserves, but the
regime that succeeded him handed
over $3.4 billion. In his days, it
was N78 to a dollar, but he was
targeting N62 per dollar before
he died. How much is it today?
Even the money they recovered
after Abacha’s death where did
they keep it. It is the same
corruption. We must be sincere in
the fight against corruption. The
EFCC and other related agencies
must show more commitment. If
you fight corruption in the day,
and sleep with corruption at night,
that is not fighting corruption

stillwater: So this is the face of one of the ministers that destroyed education in the country. Ok!
As minister,
I was a vocal critic of the satellite
campus system, which I believed
was seriously lowering the quality of
higher education in the country. “I
was the first person to notice
that.”Today, we have the
Open University system which is
taking care of that need. I also
introduced the French language
policy so that every Nigerian can
have the opportunity to be bi-
lingual. When I left office it was
abolished. I also brought focus on teacher
education so that you first of all
produce teachers who will teach
others. Building schools without the
people to teach is an effort in
futility.”Maybe you. Were in the primary school at that time for you. To notice all of it
