Hello sir. I couldn't get your mail. I'm guessing you didn't send because you don't live in Akure. I just want to update you sir.

I urgently got a vet yesterday because the stomach got more bigger. The vet gave her some injections then told me to administer mismag for her twice every day.

I think the Dog improved but the only worry for me is the dog had a little blood come out of her butt yesterday and this evening also. And she's not eating at all tonight.

Okay sir, we will have to evacuate the fluid and prevent future occurrence. You can DM me the area you reside.
I sent you a PM sir. I live in Akure.

You've tried I'm really impressed. Now try and palpate (feel) the stomach, do you feel any solid, or it seems empty or it seems as if fluid. Whatever the situation, I'll dm my number to you, you've really done well
I'm 90% certain it's fluid sir.

Okay, take a small hammer or spoon and gently tap the stomach and closely take a listen. Tell me what you hear, is it echo sound or solid sound etc?
I think it's bringing out an echo sound sir.

Calm down, everything is going to be fine, put your mind at rest. Send pics if you can
From upper view it looks like it's finally getting fat but it's actually the stomach that's getting filled.

Have you done scan sir?
I'll try to get somewhere that I can do a scan. Tbh, just need anyone to tell me what it could be apart from Ascitic fluid. So I can be at least a bit optimistic. Even if it's 10% optimism. Cuz I'm totally weak as it is.

No sir. I live in Akure. Not sure there are competent vet clinics around. Even the state one.

Hello I have a female Boerbel that's almost 2 years old now. And recently I suddenly started noticing the stomach getting bigger everyday. It's nothing crazy but it's obvious it's suddenly different in few days.

Back story: I'm totally worried because I had a German shepherd with the same issue that ended up dying due to Internal building while the vets were trying to drain the stomach. But this German shepherd had eaten a drug that directly attacks the liver(broke into the house and kitchen at night) that was meant for rats when it was small so I totally understood why it'd have that issue months later. That was the only time we ever used that drug.

I want to believe I can't be so unfortunate to have another dog develop that type of issue just few months later.

Please what can cause a sudden increase in stomach size in a Boerbel?

I'd have suspected pregnancy but there are no changes in the breasts. It's all still tiny.

Please I need help.
