op don't misunderstand me....am no tecno fan boy I use it for price sake they have many flaws the first and most annoying is developer support, support from the OEM and lastly the use of mtk chipsets just those, don't intend buying any again sha neither am I in for sqmsungs monotony but am just not in support of this thread coz we all know that they ain't the same tecno is cheap hence its not the best just let people be..morning

indigold2010: I didn't make all my conclusions based on some baseless grounds. Am a mobile phone geek, u can check it on the xda, my username is same with what I use here. When i tell u I know mobile phones I mean I know them more than most Nigerians. I have used almost all oem's, even if I never used tecno. Not cos it's not expensive as most of u think but cos I gat friends who own them and I have made contact with this devices tecno and the others like gionee, and other Chinese products. But I tell u something they don't come even close to Samsung, Sony, HTC, apple, LG and some other oem. Take for example there is this Chinese imitation of a galaxy tab 2 that was brought to my shop cos of a bootloop issue for sometime now, and tell now it hasn't been fixed cos of Inadequate resource. Another example is an itel beyond that was pattern locked brought to my shop as well, it took days to force this device into recovery to enable me wipe the lock. What am I saying here, this Chinese devices don't pack the technology innovation and convenient access that Sammy and others give their devices. I won't write tecno off totally, Kudos to them cos they have given most Nigerians a chance to to own an Android device. Then I talking about if u need octa core for this or that, not all of us push our devices to their limit, if I handle ur dual core tecno device for a day ur processor will have run half of its life span already, bear in mind I don't play games, but my device is a testing ground for most of the things I use in fixing other devices at my shop, from mods to scripts and to roms. I still say if ur tecno does all u want then fine, u don't nee Sammy and others. But if u an high end user then it isn't tecno u need. Good morning

try using low end Samsung phones...seen so many wount even go near em...if I can't get the high end once I go just dey as I dey...I love HTC for one thing no low range they play from mid to high...in fact hate all u want u can't compare a tecno of 13500 with a Sammy of 24k....comparing m3 with galaxy star.....I took em head on from display to performance... d Samsung d fup eh...Sammy rocks mid and high talk of low end its zero especially display wise

rooted and got bricked... took to carlcare and they served my m3 for me...so far no headache for me...don't plan getting a phone soon sha ..tab fings this one for WiFi...they are serving me well at least better than bb did me...chai can't forget how costly those bb parts were

henryskywalker2003: The OP really hit valid points here especially with the OTA upgrade. Take for instance Tecno D5 users. They are stuck on gingerbread with no support from either the OEM nor from custom rom devs. So, it's like buying a phone you can only use for a short term before tech advances forces you to buy a new one. You can't compare that with phones from other OEMs take for instance Samsung Galaxy S3. It was released in May 2012 and still supported by the company up till next year cos it's gonna get the 4.4 kit kat update then. Meanwhile, it was released with 4.0 ICS. Now can you tell me that you can compare S3 with Tecno Phantom A, A2 or A+? Compare their screens, camera quality, build quality, processor, ram, user memory, etc and tell me that those phones can go toe to toe with S3. Now if it were you, would you not sell the Tecno phones at a far cheaper price than the samsung? Now, when u add other crazy features samsung integrates into their smartphones, Tecno will be blown out of the water. Now, that's just samsung. When you bring in Sony phones into the fray..... That's just gonna be an overkill. Cos you get to see phones with shatterproof glass that can withstand be run over by a car as small as a Toyota Corolla (Sony Xperia Acro S), Water proof up to a depth of 1meter for 30mins (Acro S, V, Z, ZR, Z1, Go), dust proof (Acro S, Z, ZR, Z1, V, Go). So, for all Tecno users out there. Trust me when I say that you are yet to have the real Android experience.
