A University Teaching Hospital is the best option for most surgeries. They tend to have the MOST specialist.

I'd go there if that's an option available to you.

That said, private hospitals do have grade. And they tend to move faster than public ones. But the prospect of being operated on by people who are PRIMARILY motivated by profit rubs me the wrong way.

The first hospital we went to, it is a private hospital, and it is being operated by a white man. The issue is that he does all kinds of surgery, both removing fibroid, caesarian operation and different kinds of surgery, now he has claimed that he can also operate on umbilical hernia and repair it. My question now is can a single doctor know how to do all these kind of surgery, I thought he will specialize in a particular part of the body.

She also went to another private hospital, the doctor examined her and billed her, and told her that he will not be the one to do the surgery, rather, he will consult a specialist from FMC. To do the surgery.

The issue here now is which of these two will she go to, is it for the white man that claims to do all manner of surgery himself or to the doctor the said he will consult a specialist from FMC to do the surgery.

If the Doctor said surgery is the cure, then listen to him/her.

Why are Nigerians so scared of surgery? An umbilical hernia repair is a relatively simple procedure that normally takes about 20 to 30 minutes

Her problem is not the surgery itself. Her fear is if there will be any side effect or complication after the surgery is done.

Hernias do NOT repair themselves. So that surgery is NECESSARY!

Also, rhere is NOTHING like rupturing when it comes to hernias. It's not like appendicitis.

Hernias happen because intestines go places where they are NOT supposed to go because the muscles around that place is weak.

Sometimes when the patient is relaxed, the intestines go back to where they were meant to be. And the pain of the hernia is reduced.

That's probably what your Mum is experiencing right now.

Hernias are fairly common so Surgeons have had enough practice.

Let your Mum know she has nothing to fear. Even if you are scared, DON'T show it. Your fear would compound her fear and prevent her from going through a procedure that'd make her life easier.

Explain to her that she WON'T feel anything during the surgery. She'd just close her eyes and wake up when the doctors are done. Like a blink.

Do everything to ALLEVIATE her fears.

By the way, what kind of hospital is the surgery scheduled to take place? Private or public?

It is a private hospital. Is it advisable to go to a private hospital or to a public hospital.

May God help you. That was exactly what happened to my uncle. He was not seeing with one eye. He was diagnosed of glaucoma. It blinded one of his eyes.

He was not taking it serious because of lack of money. Before you know what happened, it spread to his other eyes and damaged it.

Right now, he is blind and the doctors say there is nothing they can do about it, because the nerve of the remaining eyes has been destroyed.

I advice you to do whatever you can to prevent this blindness from coming.

Hello Doctors in the house, my mother is suffering from umbilical hernia. Whenever the pains come upon her, it is unbearable and it always make her uncomfortable.

She has gone to the hospital, the doctor has booked her for surgery to repair the hernia. But she is afraid of the surgery even as I am afraid of it.

The doctor, after examining her told her that the hernia has turned red and requires immediate surgery, but she is afraid of it because she doesn't know what the outcome will be.

But for the past two weeks the pain has subsided and she is no more feeling the pains.

The question I want to ask is that even as she is no feeling the pains for now, should she still go for the surgery, will there be any side effect after the surgery, is the surgery risky, if she doesn't go for the surgery, will it rupture.

Please Doctors in the house, is there any way you can help us.

At least without using iron , pumping machine or freezer.... You will consume nothing less than 5 units in a single day..

We're getting around 14-16 hours daily, which is way better than before. Not sure what's changed, but I'm not complaining.

Who else had noticed it, for the past three weeks or thereabout, there has been a surprise improvement in the suppy of electricity in my area.

We have up to 15 hours supply of light daily. It is giving me a great joy.

I live in Abia state, precisely Umuahia and those living in the same area can attest to this.

I want to know if this is general. Where is your area and how is light supply over there.

A lot of people don't have time for God, through out a whole day, you cannot make out time to communicate with God in prayer, yet you call yourself a Christian. Once you call yourself a Christian, it means God is now your Father, yet, you cannot make out time to communicate with your Father.

A lot of people only pray or remember God when they go to church on Sunday. Whereas others remember God when they have a need, ie when they want to get something from God. Others remember God when there is an emergency or when a condition is critical and needs urgent attention, that is when they remember God. It is very bad.

Think of it, you have a son or daughter, but he/she is always far from you. He/she hardly come close to you. The only time he/she remembers you is if he/she is in need of something from you. If you are his/her father, how will you feel, you will be grieved by his/her action. It is the same way with God. You are always far from him, you don't have time for Him, you always disobey Him and do those things which He hates. But when you need something from Him, or in time of emergency, you come to Him in prayer, how do you want Him to grant your desire.

Let me take myself for example, every blessed day, apart from Sundays, I make out quality time to communicate with my Father in prayer. Every evening from 4.p m till 6. p m, it is between me and my God. I cannot trade that time for anything else in the world. Trust me, it is a wonderful time being spent in the presence of God. Whenever I start the prayer, His presence always comes down immediately and He shows Himself strong in my life and there has been amazing testimonies.

You too can do it. It may not be 2 hours like I always do. As a beginner, you can start with 30 minutes each day. Let me tell you the truth, God values it. It is precious in the sight of God. He is always ready to show His power in your life.

If you don't know how to start, let me guide you as a beginner. You can start with praise and worship. Praise and worship Him with songs for 10 minutes. Move to the next stage, pray a prayer of worship and thanksgiving to him for 5 minutes. After that, enter into the prayer of petition, it means presenting your prayer requests to Him. You can do that for 10 minutes. After that, use the remaining 5 minutes to thank Him with praise and worship for answering you. You are done. How many minutes did you spend, only 30 minutes. But God values that time you have given to Him, and He will surely reward you for it. There is no big deal in it.

How many times in a day have you said, 'I love you Jesus' 'Jesus you are the best thing to happen to me' 'my darling Jesus' 'Jesus my love' ' I cannot be without you Jesus' e.t.c. these are the words we say to our husband, wife, children or our Loved ones. Jesus also wants these words to be spoken to Him on daily basis. Don't you know He has emotions, and He wants to be in intimacy with us. Whenever you are praying, include these sweet and lovely words to Him, He likes it.

If you are really hungry for God and you want to enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Him, begin with the steps I have outlined. I promise you, you will not regret it. It may not be easy as you are starting it, but keep it up, with time you will master it with time.

30 minutes invested in prayer daily is a great investment that cannot be lost. Remember, a prayerless christian is a powerless christian. Will you develop the habit of prayer today?

A lot of us are going through this problem or addiction, but they don't know how to stop it and it has affected their lives. What are my talking about, I am taking about Masturbation and watching pornography.

To tell you the truth, this is the most common addiction that has affected billions of people worldwide. This is a global problem. No religion is exempted from it.

I cannot start discussing what I do not know, because this is what I was into for a very long time. I was so addicted to this terrible sin. I first started with the sin of watching pornography, later in life, I graduated into masturbation.

Let me give you a brief story. When I was still young and innocent, not up to 10 years old if I am not mistaken, I and my siblings vistited a friend's house in the next street after our own. When we went to his house, there was light. He said he wanted to put something for us to watch. So he put the CD plate, because by then, internet where you can access pornography was not common as of then. Little did I know that it was pornography that he wanted to put on. So when he put it on, I started watching after watching it, my innocence was taken away and the spirit of pornography entered me.

From that moment, I wanted to know more and watch more pornography. I became addicted to it at a tender age. Any money that enter into my hand, I will rush to the market to buy the CD plate. Yet they will sell it to me no matter how young I was. For more than 20 good solid years, I was addicted to pornography. It became worst when the internet came out. I can now watch it easily without going to buy the CD plate again.

It was in the year 2018 that I graduated to masturbation. I had been watching where they do masturbate and I wanted to try it out my self. After series of trials, I mastered the evil art. Infact no day passes without me masturbating. I masturbate 3-4 times in a day. As I was watching the pornography, I will be masturbating at the same time.

After masturbating, I will be weak, hungry, filled with guilt, regret and remorse. But to stop it became a problem infact it affected me. I started looking for solution. I prayed, fasted, went for deliverance, cried, did a lot of things. But after all these things, I will still go back to pornography and masturbation.

It was until I read a book. After reading the book, I applied what I read in the book. The spirit of masturbation and pornography Left me immediately and the spirit of God took over my life. I tell you the truth, from that moment up till now I have not masturbated, I have not watched pornography, God has been keeping me by His spirit. Let me tell you the truth, I paid dearly for these evil act and I am still kind of paying the price now. Every sin has its consequences.

Watching pornography and masturbation is a terrible sin before God. Let me tell you the truth. As you masturbate, you are opening a portal or a gateway for demons to possess and afflict you. Infact, as you masturbate, you are having sexual intercourse with demonic spirits. You have welcomed evil spirits into your life and hear this truth, for these spirits to leave you becomes a problem.

Watching pornography and masturbation has terrible consequences. You may not see it now, but when the problems associated with it manifests, be ready to face the consequences.

Many of you reading this are still watching pornography and masturbating. You do this, yet you call yourself a Christian, yet on Sunday, you go to church. Hear this truth, many church workers, choir, ushers, instrumentalist, pastors, pastors wife, single and married are under this addiction of pornography and masturbation.

You may have tried so hard to stop it, but it is not yielding any result. You may have stopped it for 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, even up to 1 year, after, you relapse or go back to it.

Don't you know that masturbation has terrible consequences. You call it 'pleasure' don't you know you are destroying your body which is the temple of God. Anybody that destroy the temple of God, God will destroy him. It is the bible that says it, not me. I want to ask you brother, sister, why are you polluting your spirit and body with this terrible sin, don't you know that masturbation can affect your sexual health, it can lead to premature ejaculation in men, masturbation can damage your reproductive organ, oh yes. It can lead to near impotency. It can lead to erectile dysfunction. It can make your organ not to function as it is suppose to function, it can reduce your sexual hormones and bring it to near Zero. As a man, watching pornography and masturbation can make you be seeing women as sex objects and nothing more, among other things.

It is only Jesus that can save you, He has the power to break the yoke of masturbation and watching pornography from your life. I repeat again, He has the power to break the yoke. All you have to do is to go to Him in sincerity and cry out to Him to help you.

Go to him in prayer. I prefer you do it with fasting. Tell God how it is doing you, tell Him what you are passing through. Tell Him all that is in your mind. Bare everything open before Him. Don't hide anything from Him. Tell Him that you really want to stop this evil act. He is there with you, and He hears you. Confess it before Him, He will forgive you, cleanse you and give you the power to overcome this evil addiction once and for all, just as He did it for me.

Next, wow never to indulge in it again, because the temptation must surely come again. Satan will try all means to lure you back and to make you think you cannot stop it. Let me tell you the truth. If I can stop it, you can stop it too. All you have to do is to resist the devil in the name of Jesus, and he will flee from you. Shalom.

In the bible, speaking in tongues started on the day of pentecost, when the disciples of Jesus or the apostles were baptized with the Holy Ghost. They were speaking in the other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. You can find it in Acts chapter 2. Read it yourself.

I really thank God for giving me the gift of speaking in tongues, ever since then, my prayer life has changed. Now I can pray for 3 hours, 4 hours without getting tired.

I still remember 31st of may, 2024. It is a day I will never forget. I didn't even dream that I will ever speak in tongues, I never prayed about it, infact I was not expecting it.

Let me tell you you truth, initially, I hated the idea of praying in tongues, I thought it was not possible, I thought it was scam, I thought that people were just speaking anything that comes out of their mouth. It was because I have prayed earnestly for it before that God should give me this gift and enable me to pray in tongues, but I didn't see it forth-coming. I prayed seriously for it, read books that dealth on Holy Ghost baptism, exercised my faith, opened my mouth for God to fill it, yet nothing happened, so I gave up the idea and stopped praying about it. But little did I know that God heard the prayer and was waiting for the appointed time to bring it to manifestation.

On that day, I was hungry to just praise and worship God and nothing more. Once it was 4.pm in the evening, I started with praise. I praised God for a very long time.

After I was true with praise, I entered into deep worship song. I worship God with songs with all my heart for a very long time.

When I was true with worshipping God with songs, I entered into a prayer of praise and. I began to call God sweet names, I was calling Him by His attributes praising and and worshipping Him. Then I became tired. I decided to sit down because I have been standing for over one hour.

As I sat down, I felt a sensation in my body, from that moment, I knew in my spirit that something was about to happen, and it happened.

Immediately something began to move from my body, immediately, it came to my mouth. Before I knew it, my mouth opened, I started to speak in tongues or pray in tongues. It was so powerful. It was like rivers of living water flowing out of my belly.

For almost 45 minutes, I was praying in tongues as the Holy Spirit gave me utterance. It was so great. It was lovely. It was so much that it didn't want to stop. It was like borehole water that doesn't finish, infact I have to force myself to stop it.

After that encounter, my prayer life has never remained the same. I can now pray for longer hours like 3 hours, 4 hours without getting tired. Before I received the gift of tongues, I could only pray for 30 minutes to 1 hour before getting tired or running out of words.

It has reached to the extent of whenever I want to pray but don't know what to pray, I will pray a simple prayer and tell God that I want to pray in tongues that the Holy Spirit should possess my lips, and that the Holy Spirit should pray through me. Immediately, my lips will open and I will start praying in tongues. God is alive, and He answers prayer. My prayer life have changed since then. Infact I am addicted to prayer. It is burning inside of me. Any day that passes without me praying is like I want to die. I can't survive without prayer.

My fellow pastor, evangelist, brother, sister, desire this gift of praying in tongues. It is more powerful and effective than praying with your understanding. By praying in tongues, you don't know what you are praying. But in the spirit, you are speaking mysteries. As you are praying in tongues, God can use your prayer and heal someone in China. Your prayer can travel to India, Japan, U.S.A, London, even to your village etc and lose someone in bondage.

I plead with you, desire this gift more than anything else. Remember, prayer is a powerful weapon. With it, you can touch anybody around the world right on your knees.
