There is no law that commanded pastors to tithe you. Na you no know. Na only pastors get the updates and it's the only way to collect from Nigerians since we are smart in every other areas but religion.

And yes, if you quote Malachi here and refuse to observe all the mosaic laws (like extermination of those who abuse the Sabbath), you and your pastor are hypocrites. You call yourself Christians but follow mosaic laws that was abolished because it involves money crediting you?

You pay tithes and you say Jesus died for you. So why did you think he died if you still have to pay for your sins with money? Okuko Owerri.

The op lied, insinuating that end time prophecies took place at Jesus time whereas even after Jesus died and ascended up.to John's Revelations, the temple had still not being destroyed.

Whereas he lied that all the visible signs which the world only began to see for the first tome after 2010, took place even back in Jesus' time when brothers and families were still close up to the 60's in Europe and America when the end started for them while our own in Nigeria.started after 2010.

The confusion you are experiencing is as a result of so called preachers, pastors and prophets of today who continue to fail in their predictions because they refuse to accept what the scriptures clearly tells them.

Who was Paul talking to when he said "We"?

A. You and him?

Or

B. He and the church in Corinth?

If it is the latter (B) then it did happen in their time. Not all of them saw death as Jesus himself said. Which means Jesus was right and apostle Paul was right.

If it is the former (A) that means Paul wasn't talking to the Church in Corinth he was talking to people who will read the scriptures 2000 years later after he and other believers have died. It also means Jesus lied when he told them not all of them will die before he comes.

Although the scriptures makes it clear that no one knows the day or hour Jesus would return, Jesus did give clues or hints that would make believers know their redemption was near.

Using those clues, alot of preachers, pastors and so called prophets have predicted the second coming of Jesus and guess what.........they all failed miserably. These are men that claim to be inspired by God's holy spirit yet their predictions or expectations were woefully wrong.☹️

Why?

Despite all visible signs, earthquakes, war, pestilence, men being lovers of themselves and lovers of money, Why has Jesus refused to return when men expected him? 🤔

Could it be that his return already took place in the past during the generation and time of the disciples?

Let's look at some scriptures📖:



Who was jesus talking to? We Christians today or his disciples back then? If the answer is the latter, Then this suggests a close connection between the disciples' preaching and Jesus' return doesn't it?

Unlike daniel who was told to seal up what he saw in a vision from God because the vision concerned a future event, John is told here not to seal up his vision and the reason is boldly stated above. This Indicates that the fulfillment of the prophecies in Revelation was imminent during John's time.



Let me explain the above scripture in a simple way:

Jesus: Yes I am coming soon.

John: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

John's final affirmation confirms the imminent return of Jesus. End of story.


Bearing the above scriptures in mind, when you see phrases like:

He is coming, We are in the last days, time left is short, Come lord Jesus, You will not run to all towns in Israel, What must soon take place, This generation e.t.c

Do they suggest a future event approximately 2000 years after the statement was uttered/written or does it suggest something imminent in the lifetime of the apostles?

Yes the scripture was written by people through the inspiration of the holy Spirit, the hand of God guided the whole process of both the writing and the compilation.

Though church building is not the church itself but it is a place where Christians gather to worship God. So church building is necessary for convenience and shelter congregants.

Being religious have nothing to do with economic growth, anybody that understand the principles of how things works and applies them would succeed regardless of whether they religious or not.

No men of God are not the cause but some of them might be contributors to it. Alot of people pray ignorantly outside God's will and hence they don't get result, yes right prayer to the true God works but knowing and doing the will of God is Supreme and helps to pray right. One of God's principle is you reap what you sow if we sow corruption we reap corruption

Exploiting poor members is sinful, one of the mandate of the church is to take care of the poor and needy in the church, any church that is capable but fails in this regard must be avoided however, running higher universities are expensive.


Tithe and offering is for the smooth running of the church to take care of church workers and to help those in need.

It is not the duty of the church to build factory or create job that is not to say the church may not do it but it is the responsibility of the government. Having street full of church has nothing to do with lack of factory or jobs, in fact the existence of churches helps to curb alot of societal ills.

This is just like saying because there are fake doctors therefore all doctors are fake.

how can one have a product without a producer, there is no creation without a creator. The existence of evil actually prove there is God, how do we judge something as evil if there is no standard of goo and evil, if there is a standard for determining what is evil and what is bad who set that standard? There cannot be law without a lawgiver.

That God protect us does not mean we should open ourselves to danger. Some preachers decieve their members promising them security onces they buy special clothing or hand band or material this is a wicked lie. Protection lies in our obeying the commandment of God which also told us not to tempt God.

empty prayer in sin cannot solve our problems but obeying God will.

The Lord Jesus died young at the age of 33. This is after He had fulfilled His ministry. Yes, Jesus is the Great Apostle of the Christian faith. Whether you are called to the fivefold ministry or not you are free to go home to be with the Lord after you have fulfillled your ministry.

I agree with the Op regarding other factors that take heavy toll on their health but this also applies to everyone. As such, pastors are humans like any of us. The key here is to take care of one's health. Moses' father-in-law, Jethro, advised him to delegate duties to the Israelites so as not to be overburdened by them. Had he not done so Moses would have probably died earlier than he did.

Some pastors also do face the warfare (bizarre according to wordly standards) aspects of their calling such as helping an individual, family, community, or nation be delivered from satanic strongholds that may have been running for generations. Some pastors confront these demons (princes and rulers of wickedness) without proper spiritual mapping and preparation. This results in the death of some of this pastors. One has to be anointed and directed by God before embarking on spiritual liberation against evil entities.
