A lot of people have got a couple of tattoos that didn’t turn out as well as they hoped, and that’s putting it generously. But this new app could save folks from seeking out cover-ups or painful laser surgery by showing them what a design will look like after it’s complete.

InkHunter uses augmented reality to overlay a tattoo onto a body’s surface area. You can select from a series of designs by different artists that are included in the app, or you can upload your own sketches to see how they’ll look on your skin.

The process works by asking the user to draw three straight lines to form a face (called a square smile) on the part of their body where they’re considering getting a tattoo. When viewed through a smartphone’s screen, these three marks will appear as the selected tattoo, and can be viewed from all angles. You can also take photos of the AR tattoo and show friends to get their opinions.

"Under the hood we developed three algorithms to make it possible," explained InkHunter CEO Oleksandra Rohachova to the Daily Dot. These create a transparent image from the black and white one, recognize the smile on the skin, and overlay the tattoo in the mark’s location.

The app is the product of a 48-hour hackathon that took place in July 2014. Originally built by a team of software engineers from Karazina University in Ukraine, a beta version of the fully-fledged app launched last year, but this new release improves the algorithms and overall user experience.

The free app is only available for iOS right now, but the company is working on bringing it to Android and Windows Phones. It’s being improved all the time to take into account factors such as lighting and veins. Future updates will also support color tattoos and add designs from more artists.

In the past couples of days, a lot of people have been having trouble subscribing to any BB10 subscription packages thus making people wonder if the MTN BB10 plan has been stopped by MTN just as they did the Xtra cool night calls plan. This error is probably because of their system upgrade.

Users who are still subscribed to any of these plans that doesn't want to be in the shoes of those that can't subscribe when theirs expires should take this precaution measures just in case. To know if you'll be able to re-subscribe when yours expires, sms BBLITED to 21600 and make sure you don't have airtime that is up to N70 in your account before sending the sms, if you receive a feedback message like "sorry the operation was not successful, you do not have enough airtime blah blah" then you're on the safe side, but if you by any chance received a feedback sms with "BBLITED subscription failed" sorry my friend, you won't be able to re-subscribe when your package expires.

Luckily there's a workaround for this, follow the simple trick below to be able to re-subscribe after your subscription expires:
If you received the "subscription failed" error, immediately sms DATA OFF to 131 before your subscription expires, after receiving the confirmation message, you can then go back to flexing your remaining data till your subscription to expires, and when it does expires and you receive the "auto-renewal failed" message from MTN, now sms DATA ON to 131. After receiving the confirmation message you can then successfully re-subscribe to your package of choice without the fear of receiving any error message.

Note; you'll have to repeat this steps each time you want to re-subscribe or your subscription is about to expire to be on the safe side before MTN resolves the problem.

Guys who are already stuck at the "Subscription failed" loop are not left out, to subscribe to any of the BB10 plans you'll have to DM (direct message) your phone number and the MTN BB10 plan you want to @MTN180 on twitter and it will automatically be done for you. Normal code is apparently undergoing some kind of system upgrade and will be fixed soon. You can the follow the first method above to be able to subscribe quickly next time.

When zombies-and-parkour game Dying Light was released last year, it polarized opinion. It seemed the game was loved and loathed in equal measure by players, but one of the reasons why Techland’s title hit the headlines was its $380,000 Apocolypse Edition that included a full-size, custom built, zombie-proof shelter. Now, the game’s expansion, Dying Light: The Following, has upped the ante by offering a Spotlight Edition from UK retailer GAME that costs $10,000,000.

That $10 million asking price gets you a few things - as you would expect - the most ‘valuable’ being a supporting role in Dying Light: The Movie. The pack will also include acting lessons provided by Roger Craig Smith to help you prepare for the role. Smith may not be a household name, but he has lent his voice to many video game characters, including Ezio in Assassin’s Creed and Chris Redfield in Resident Evil.

You’ll also receive stuntman/parkour training, an off-road driving course, a personal trailer on set, an original copy of the script signed by the cast, a screening tour with first-class accommodation and flights, 10 VIP tickets for the opening night, and an FX makeup session. Additionally, you’ll get to provide the voice of Kyle Crane in a special edition of Dying Light; although I’m not sure what happens if the person who buys this Spotlight Edition turns out to be female.

You would expect that 10 million dollars would get you quite a few copies of the game as well, maybe to give out to all your friends and family, but no - you only get four. They are, however, signed by the development team, which obviously makes them worth the money.

“Dying Light is one of the most exciting survival games around and what’s more – it’s Oscar season so what better time than now to head to the Hollywood hills,” GAME UK retail MD Charlotte Knight said.

“We know our community like to get in character and will have no doubt been inspired by the leading actors on the big screen – so this is a really exciting opportunity for any gamer wanting to hit the silver screen in style.”

The whole thing is, of course, more of a publicity stunt than anything else – there’s not even a guarantee that the movie will be made unless someone helps fund it by buying the Spotlight Edition. But any multi-millionaire gaming fans looking to break into the acting world may consider this package a pretty good deal.

Apparently, replacing the Kinguser app Super Su was impossible in the previous version. Fortunately,users can now replace it with Super Su and also get rid of the apps that might have been installed during the rooting process. To do this, follow the instructions below;

Download and install SuperSu-Me from here
Once the application is installed, launch it.
When launched, it'll request for Root permission, click on 'Allow' to continue
Once SuperSu-Me is fully launched, you'll see a large blue circle with an Android robot just like the one in Kingroot
Now, tap on the Android circle to begin the replacing process (This may take up to 30-50 seconds)
Once the process is completed, SuperSu will launch automatically
You'll then notice that Kinguser and every other apps that were installed on your device by Kingroot are no longer in your app drawer, and SuperSu installed.

You can then go ahead to verify that SuperSu is working perfectly by installing any Root checker app.

How do i unroot my device?

Firstly, uninstall Kingroot and every other apps associated with Kingroot except Kinguser
Now, launch Kinguser
In Kinguser, open the settings menu by tapping the settings icon at the top right corner of the screen
In the settings menu, tap on the Root authorization
In Root authorization menu, tap on remove root permission
Now, tap on 'clear' in the pop up that comes up to begin the unrooting process

Within a minute your device would be totally unrooted and Kinguser would be automatically uninstalled. In some cases after unrooting, Kinguser won't be automatically unistalled, in such cases rebooting your device should fix everything.
After rebooting your device, you can then go ahead and uninstall Kinguser like any other app, then reboot again to completely finish the process.

The only conspicuous con of the smartphone is obviously it's battery capacity, the battery capacity is not that bad per say, but it would have been much more better if they had made it 3000mah, my opinion though. Nvidia has released a dirt cheap graphics card to the market, known as the GeForce GT 710, providing what the company claims is "up to 10x better performance than integrated graphics" and a gaming experience that's "up to 80% faster".

These performance statistics might be a bit of an exaggeration for an entry-level card, especially considering the GT 710 packs just 192 CUDA cores clocked at 954 MHz. For comparison, even a relatively modest GTX 750 Ti includes 640 CUDA cores, although that card is several times the price of the GT 710.

My next smartphone pick is the Snokor Rocket Z5000, the specifications of this smartphone is somewhat similar to the Wiko slide 2 smartphone. The long awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware update for the first Android One device launched in Nigeria (Infinix hot 2) has finally arrived as promised by Google. The update can be done over the air (OTA), so if you own an Infinix hot 2, you should receive a notification regarding the update soon. But if you are a power user (Rooted Users) and can't wait for the update prompt, you can go ahead and follow the tutorial below to update yours manually. Like i said earlier, only power users who knows what they are doing should attempt this. Tech n stuff will not be held responsible for any damage done to your device, this tutorial has been tested and confirmed working.

Note. Make sure you backup your data before you begin, the flashing process will wipe clean every data on your device.

Prerequisites

The device must be running a clean Android One stock Rom to avoid unwanted errors. Download the stock rom here.
Infinix hot 2 stock recovery.
vcom drivers.
Sp flashtool.
Check out this tutorial on how to flash stock roms with sp flashtool.

After successfully flashing the stock rom, flash the recovery image, you can use the flashtool app on playstore.

Now to flash the marshmallow update:
Download the marshmallow update file here.
After downloading the file,rename it to 'update.zip'.
Place it on the root of your SD card (do not place it inside any folder)
Switch off the device.
Hold down the 'volume up' + 'power' buttons simultaneously
Release the 'power' button and tap the 'volume up' button once you see the 'Infinix' logo
Now you should see a dead Android robot with a red warning sign
Now press the 'volume up' or 'volume down' (device dependent) button to go into the stock recovery menu
In the recovery menu, use the 'volume' buttons to navigate and click on 'update from SD card' with the 'power' button.
While in the SD card menu Scroll down to the 'update.zip' file you renamed earlier, (it should be at the bottom of the folder) and select it with the 'power' button.
Wait for the update to be installed, once done with the installation, reboot your device and you're done.
After rebooting, you'll see that your device is now running on Android 6.0 marshmallow. Hopefully this update will fix the problems people have been having with their Infinix hot 2.
